Can the carpool group be friends outside of the car? That is the question as Aubrey invites the group to his daughter's piano recital. Marmaduke helps Gracen train for the annual charity run and for the chance to finally beat Leila.

Seemed like this show was turning the corner with the most recent, NEW episodes the past few weeks - but this one was a step backwards in my book. Too much revolved around that old chestnut of someone's child's recital. Does everyone in Hollywood...moreless

...have a kid who they are grooming for stardom who is giving a performance at school (TNAOOC, 2.5Men, etc). There are other aspects to this installment - like Aubrey having to pay Laird back for making him sit through a two-hour recital and the show does seem to be 'trying' to get a little edgier. Gracen and his wife use Marmaduke in a battle of wits prior to a long-distance, charity run and 'Laird' tries to get 'laid' (is that how they came up with his name?). But really, the writers (before the strike?) seemed to mail this one in. If I were trying to recruit new viewers for Carpoolers, I probably wouldn't have them see this one.moreless
