  • And the crimesolving begins!

Now that Jimmy is on his feet, living with his crush, Rachel, (and her detective fater Richard,) under the guise of Conan Edagawa, he's now working his way to getting Richard more clients in order to perhaps get some information about the men who shrunk him. And so far, it's not going well. Of course, being a 'world class detective', Jimmy's got some getting used to; he's now a child, and people will refuse to listen to him. Furthermore, if he stands out, he may very well get in trouble with the men in black, or... even with Richard himself. he has to now learn how to drop clues, such as when he acts like a child towards Yuko when she turns on the lighter, instead of saying it's suspicious how she knew it was a lighter, he simply laughs like a kid and says "that's a cool lighter, it would've taken me forever to figure out how it worked, how did you know it was a lighter if you've never been here before, lady?" thus letting the other adults in on the oddity without actually saying it out loud.

He also begins to solve the cases with his new bow-tie voice changer, used practically every episode beyond here, and must do so without revealing his genius.

Richard's not exactly the most observant guy in the world, though. we learn more about his character during this episode, including his 'preference' towards younger women and his basic 'will do anything... for a lady' attitude. He also plays the part of the fool, which he lives up to in later episodes.

Yoko Okino, one character in the episode, reappears later on as a guest star, and she's relatively prominent in the show, taking out the main characters. she's not much to look at though; just a simple pretty face who's lucky enough to get a career singing.

This episode wasn't exactly the greatest, I'll admit, but it was one of the first, so how could it be? Furthermore, jimmy's still getting his footing in his newly transformed eight year old body, so there's always room for improvement. The plotline was interesting, as most are, and it was an overall good episode.moreless

  • A normal episode, though I must admit...

A normal episode, though I must admit that the line that the officer says is absolutely hysterical. We learn that Richard has a huge crush on Yoko, a singer.

She's actually quite nice, and not the murderer. ^^'

You may be surprised by the ending.

In general, a good episode, definitely worth watching.
