There are two things that make this episode awesome: Harley's/Heiji's introduction (though that was last episode, this is still part of it) and Jimmy's/Shinichi's [temporary] return. The case was so-so, but it more importantly introduced one of Jimmy's main "rival" throughout the series and one of his best friends as well. Harley is a well-likable(sp?) characters through out the show and is on even grounds with Jimmy, at least in detective prowess. They even look similar, except for a few obvious differences. And Jimmy's return, was unexpected, which is what made it so awesome. In other episodes, he returns as well, but this one was the most unpredicted one yet. Unfortunately, Jimmy can't stay as Jimmy, as that would end the series, and returns to being Conan after the case finishes. But still awesome episode, I recommend anyone who loves this show to watch this episode and the episode before this as well.moreless

  • This was a great episode that left you hanging from part one after showing Jimmy Kudo in the next episode as well as him proving Harry wrong

After trying to pace myself to watching one episode a week that quickly gave way when they left you hanging on part one. I couldn't wait to see how Jimmy was going to come back and solve the case. He was also able to avoid Ranchel finding out about his secret. Harlem's conclusion to solving the case was so convincing that I thought he actually beat Jimmy because I couldn't figure out any other way. After Jimmy showed him up I was amazed at how he deduced all this. I kept thinking about how Harlem knew about Jimmy's secret already and wondered if anyone else caught it. I didn't even notice him say the Black Organization's two goons who hit Jimmy. Again, great episode that was a great finale to a great show on Adult Sim.moreless

  • The murder of Rudy Tarrington comes to a climax as a certain teenage detective arrives just in time to solve the case...

I really thought it was neat that Jimmy Kudo, however brief his return was, to actually show up to prove who the murderer really was. Though I kinda wish he was able to stay in his real body long enough to tell Rachel his true feelings for her... Well, this was a good episode anyway.

This was the greatest show of all time, and that's what's UP! I don't know the reason that it got canned on adult swim but i have written many emails about it. I dont know if they were really listening to me but i just want to say i say i just want to say a few words about a friend of mine and a friend of tunas. I was just Playing but in all seriousness this was a great show and for the things to happen they way they did with this show was just wrong. And tha tha tha thats all folks.moreless

i mean i just cant belive conan turned back into jimmy... he's so cute... im so sorry i just have the biggest crush on jimmy kudo! but this episode was also really smart... just like any episode of case closed... i mean that in a good way, but i especially like this episode because he turns back into his real body... also in this episode jimmy tried to tell rachel how he really feels towards her... just 3 words, but he wasn't able to because before he could even say it he turned back into a kid!moreless

    • Response to first goof: Of course the weapon was missing from its slot when it was revealed. It was found lying on the floor next to the body, being one of the key pieces of evidence used in the case. Edit
    • The weapon was missing from it's compartment when it was finally revealed. Edit
    • conan (aka jimmy) says he's in 11th grade in this episode. but, the intro to this show (here at tv tome) says he's a sophmore, or 10th grade. who is wrong, the dubbers or this episode guide? Edit
  • Notes

    ADD NOTES
    • Harley never found out about Jimmy and Conan that and when he spoke about Gin and Vodka was only in the dub. Their real conversation was just basically about him acknowledging Jimmy as a worthy rival. Edit
    • The Hint was: Books and Opera Music Edit
    • Harley mentions to Jimmy that "gin and vodka are stronger than Chinese liquor. Those two are killers." Then he tells him that the two names he mentioned should interest Jimmy a little, since the two are interested in him. The "killers" should ring a bell to the people who don't know what he's talking about. Watch the first episode...and maybe the second. (Submitted by Kaji100) Edit
