it was a very weird and cool case. at least Conan got to use his super shoes. when Tommy's father stuck out his knife ,i thought the little boy of that doctor was going to die ,but he didn't all thanks to Conan.the show was all confusing i mean why would the the little kid's father send the doctor gifts when his son died . the painting is what i thought he sent all the money for but it just was the insurance money .at the kid was not killed by tommy's father and it's all thanks to Conan super shoes.moreless
Anime/Manga Difference(s): The anime version of the episode start out with George, Amy and Mitch asking Rachel about Jimmy, which prompts her to think about him and setting up the story. In the manga, this story takes place after Smooth Sailing, Part 2, as Ran gets a letter from Natsue who mentions that she and Theodore are living a more quiet life on a ranch. Susanna tells Rachel to give her regards to her "detective boyfriend", which prompts her to think about Jimmy and sets up the story.
Edit
Rachel: He talks and acts, just like Jimmy. Wait a minute! The last day I saw Jimmy before he disappeared, that same day Conan appeared as if he were taking his place. Is that even possible? Could Conan actually be Jimmy in the body of a child? Either way, I've got to figure this out once and for all!
Edit
Conan: Aw! It says "Game over". Hey, Rachel, you wanna play? You like this game, don't you, Rachel?
Rachel: I HATE VIDEO GAMES AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT!!
Conan: Okay! Alright, I'll just keep playing on my own, then.
Edit
Rachel: It looks like you're really have this detective thing down. You just... you're so smart, Jimmy!
Conan: Yeah.
Edit
Conan Edogawa: You must be a surgeon! Conan's quick realization of who the visitor to Mr. Moore's office really is (he deducts the man is a surgeon because of the marks on his fingers) is a skill taken directly from Sherlock Holmes, who is the main inspiration for Conan/Jimmy's character. Holmes is able to tell a person's occupation by simply looking at them and noticing minor details on them, and in the first Holmes novel, A Study in Scarlet, Sherlock figures out that Watson served as a doctor in the Army by simply looking at him.
