Imagine, a reality show in which no one gets hurt or even insulted, everyone is kind and helpful, and each episode still manages to be interesting!  Okay, you have to like THINGS, and you have to be interested in people's attachment (not greed, just sentiment) to them, and not be bored stiff by auctions.  And you have to like PUNS, too.   I find it... charming!

I must admit that there is something addictive about this show.  Watch it long enough, and you'll begin to imagine you can make fortune off Uncle Oddly's hand-me-downs.  Then, you can turn around and trade them (Bargain Hunt) for monster profits!  Besides, this show is much, much better than what they're replacing it with in the mornings now on BBC America,  Everything Must Go and its irritating saxaphone.

I agree this show has me hooked! I was bored one night and I came across this show last week. I know set my DVR to tape all of them. I'm from the US but I like the UK version of this show better than the new US ones.

oh yes me too.  i'm in minnesota.  why do american tv producers think americans want to hear everyone SHOUT all the time?  i'd rather have the UK version's silly but charming puns than be screamed at.

BTW, if you are becoming a fan of the show, it just so happens that there is a Cash in the Attic book out.  Anyone interested can find new and used copies from amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Cash-Attic-Paul-Hayes/dp/0563487917/sr=1-1/qid=1162066366/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-8540474-8860055?ie=UTF8&s=books
