When Captain Montgomery goes to District Attorney Lou Karnacki's office, Karnacki offers him some 1875 St. Miriam whiskey. This whiskey, in its trademark red bottle, is from the secret stash discovered in the basement of The Old Haunt in episode 3x10 Last Call.
Goof: When Castle and Beckett are standing in front of the whiteboard discussing a conspiracy theory, Castle starts the scene with a mug balanced on his right hand. Beckett walks across the scene between Castle and the camera and in the second that it takes Beckett to pass, the mug has jumped to Castle's left hand.
Castle: (pulls out his phone and starts texting) Heir to the Addison fortune is murdered and, during the trial, a juror is murdered as well. This has all the makings of a John Grisham novel.
Beckett: What are you doing?
Castle: I'm, uh, texting my poker group. Calling dibs on this story.
Lanie: He was poisoned all right. Pink lividity, the smell of bitter almonds. Test strip came back positive for cyanide.
Castle: Cyanide. That is fantastic! (Lanie looks at him) Unless you're the juror.
Alexis: How did you know where I was? Are you having me followed? Monitoring my metro card? Checking my credit... my phone! Dad, tell me you are not tracking my phone.
Castle: Okay, look, this is not about what I did. It's about what you did. You lied to me.
Alexis: Says the man who violated his daughter's civil rights.
Castle: Okay, technically, I would have to be the government to violate...
Alexis: You're tracking my every move.
Castle: Not your every move.
Alexis: Welcome to George Orwell's 1984, with my father as Big Brother.
Castle: This isn't about...
Alexis: What's next, a chip in my brain?!
Castle: Whatever it takes when you're keeping secrets from me.
Alexis: You know what? If you're so interested in what I'm doing, why don't you ask your phone? I'm sure there's an app for that.
D.A. Karnacki: First rule of being a lawyer is never ask a question you don't want an answer to.
Captain Montgomery: I guess it's good I'm not a lawyer.
D.A. Karnacki: Yeah, well, that's the problem with you cops. You live on the corner of black and white. But over here, on this side of the street, it's just gray.
Castle: Alexis said she'd be in the Village today, but she's over in Williamsburg.
Beckett: Well, how do you know she's in Williamsburg?
Castle: GPS tracked her phone.
Beckett: You tracked her phone?
Castle: Yeah. Super cool app I just downloaded. I can see where she is at anytime.
Beckett: Does she know that you're doing this?
Castle: What, are you kidding? No, she'd kill me.
Beckett: And be justified.
