Season 3 Episode 16

Aired Monday 10:00 PM Feb 21, 2011 on ABC

  • Trivia

    • Lochlyn Munro is the fourth actor from Charmed to guest star on Castle, following Alyssa Milano (season 2's "A Rose for Everafter"), Brian Krause (season 3's Under the Gun) and Victor Webster (season 3 recurring episodes)

    • When Beckett and Castle are placed in quarantine, they retain all of their own clothes and belongings. If they had really been through the decontamination process, they would have showered and their clothes would have been burned.

    • Beckett's badge number has changed from last season. It used to be 41319. Now it is 0334.

    • When Castle and Beckett are questioning the guy from Techno Pro about the surveillance cameras that were installed in the taxi, the song playing in the background is "Move that Ass" by The Page Brothers.
The same song is heard in episode 3x14 "Luckystiff", when Castle and Beckett go to question The Page Brothers at a recording studio about the murder of a recent lottery winner.

    • The plain white & brown coffee cups usually seen in the opening credits or at the arrival to a murder scene are actually plastic/ceramic thermals not paper cups. The brown heat sleeves are also a fixed part of the cup not a separate cardboard piece. These cups have been used on Castle in multiple episodes, they are a consumer product that saves the prop department the hassle of sourcing new coffee cups and having to fill them because the thermals have a natural weight to them and the actors dont have to try and simulate the weight of coffee; or they can add a weight inside them without having to worry about it deteriorating the cup had it been paper.

  • Quotes

    • Agent Fallon: Mr. Castle. I'd like to thank you for your fine work on this case. However, I can't have civilians on the front lines.
Castle: It's as though I'm getting a raise and getting fired at the same time.

    • Lanie: He was killed at 11:15.
      Castle: So specific. I'm impressed.
Lanie: His watch broke when he fell.
Castle: Ah, you shouldn't have told me. Less impressed.

    • Beckett: Why is it that the thing that attracts you to a person always ends up being that thing that just drives you crazy? I just wish that... I wish that I had someone who would be there for me, and I could be there for him, and we could just dive into it together.

    • Esposito: Everything points to him being popped for cash and car parts.
      Lanie: Not everything, baby.
Beckett: (whispers) Did you just call him baby.
      Lanie: Ooh, did I?
      Castle: (mouths) you did.

    • Martha: (to Castle) You haven´t heard of the Serenity?
