Castle: The Best and Worst Episodes of Season 4 (Thus Far)

Will tonight's season finale finally make good on all those wayward half-glances and repeated bouts of unspoken jealousy? Or will we be left dangling until next season? In anticipation of the big finish, let's look back at the season's best…

  • Episode Summary

The only witness to a murder victim with human bite marks on his body insists it was a Zombie attack. Castle, Beckett and the rest of team must delve into New York's Zombie subculture to find the killer.

Who was the Episode MVP ?

    No results found.
    • An alright one, almost with Castle and Beckett finally.

His confession at the end would NOT be admissable in court. It is the equivalent of beating a man up in interrogation and scaring him into confessing. Since last episode Castle was all "getting the right guy", him doing this quite annoys me.

I get this guy seemed very guilty, but there was little to no evidence that it actually was him. So yes, Tom's confession is not a real confession. He was scared. If I had someone coming at me with a knife saying "you murdered my brother" I'd probably admit to doing it as well thinking it's what they want to hear (especially if my pleas that I didn't do it didn't work). Doesn't mean I did it, means I'm saying what I think they want to hear.

Only annoyance of this episode. Love the rest.moreless
    • Nice premise

but the shitty conclusion is well -super shitty.
    • loved it!

I really enjoyed this episode, especially the ending. I didnt see anything coming, there were so many twists! One of the best I think. :)
    • Undead Again

I enjoyed tonight's episode of Castle very much. You had the sweet scenes with Alexis and Richard, but you also had a really good mystery dealing with what was actually happening with the "zombies" and whether or not Beckett would be able to catch the killer? (come on, of course she would.) Good episode, go out of your way to watch it.
    • Classic Castle

I don't have much to say on this except:

This was the old castle for me, and I loved it. Wasn't that impressed with last weeks episode but this was brilliant. Comical moments, emotional moments, an unusual case and a great way of capturing the killer. Brilliant.

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Castle: I didn't know you were seeing a therapist.
Beckett: Yeah, well, I didn't want to make any excuses. I just wanted to... put in the time and do the work. But I think I'm almost where I want to be now.
        Castle: And... where is that?
Beckett: In a place where I can finally accept everything that happened that day. Everything.
        Castle: I think... I understand.
Beckett: And, um, that wall that I was telling you about... I think it's coming down.
Castle: Well, I'd like to be there when it does.
Beckett: Yeah, I'd like you to be there, too.

      • Beckett: Maybe this is it, what every homicide cop fears. The perfect murder.
Castle: No. This is not the perfect murder. Can't be.
        Beckett: It happens.
Castle: Not to me. Not unless I've written it.

      • Beckett: You think he remembers?
Castle: When a life-altering moment occurs, people remember.
Beckett: Well, maybe it's too big to deal with. Maybe he... can't face it just yet.
Castle: Well, you think he ever will be?
Beckett: Hopefully, if he feels safe.

      • Beckett: Castle, what we are looking for is not a zombie, but a very smart criminal who murdered David Lock and is now making our only witness look crazy, and he also dressed up in makeup and a costume to hide his identity.
Castle: Unless that's not a costume or makeup.
Ryan: I mean, he does look like a real zombie.
Esposito: A real zombie? I'm embarrassed for you, bro.
Beckett: Okay, then explain this, why would a zombie go after a currency trader at 4:00 AM in a garage?
Castle: This one's easy. The more intelligent the victim, the more delicious the brains.

      • Alexis: I made a list of all the classes and the extra curriculars. And the best choices seem to be Oxford and Stanford.
Castle: What about Columbia, NYU, Vassar?
Alexis: They're all too close. I'd come home all the time. I want to challenge myself, and I'd get sucked in to things like this.
Castle: But then who's gonna play with me?
Alexis: I think it's time to holster the laser guns and be adults.
