Show Summary

Castles is a British drama television series consisting of twenty-four episodes which originated and ended in the same year, 1995. The series is produced by Granada Television for BBC and directed by Jeremy Silberston. The 30-minute mini-series tells the stormy story of the Castle family who lives close by the North London neighborhood. The first episode starts with the birthday of the wife of James (Tony Doyle), the father of the family. At the birthday party, James meets Christean, who is one of their family friends, and they start having an affair. When their affair comes out, however, the family is not only deeply shocked at this affair, but also at other family problems that come to the forefront. It seems that everybody is occupied by something; bankruptcy, weddings, affairs or wanting to become a priest, and therefore the problem of cheating doesn't take top priority as the problems of the family.
