CatDog is one of those shows that may have worked, but it falls short on every level. The story is that a cat and a dog are literally joined together and have some wild adventures. Now on paper, it sounded pretty good, but somewhere in translation to broadcasting it, it got horribly messed up and was a waste of time. I remember as a kid hating it and when I was going to watch it again, I thought that my perspective changed on the show, and it didn't at all. I still hate this show and there is nothing that can change that. I have to point out that the art work looks terrible and very cheap. There are blotches of black ink left in some scenes and colors are either too washed out or too dark. There are even some drawings that look rushed and the drawer had no time to clean it up. The show is also a rip off of Ren and Stimpy with a cat and a dog as best friends, but Cat is smart and Dog is stupid so it's a reverse, but they act almost like Ren and Stimpy and sometimes use jokes from that show. Dog was somewhat funny but he wasn't really that funny, and Cat is an arrogant jerk to everyone and is obnoxious. CatDog also has a mouse named Winslow living with them. The best way to describe Winslow is that he's the bastard child of Jerry from and Tom and Jerry and Smurfette and they decided to abandon him, I don't blame them. Winslow is a very unlikable character and is very irritating, he's obnoxious to everyone, and he is not funny and has a very annoying laugh. Then there are the Greaser Dogs, who always want to beat up CatDog for no good reason. I suppose ypu can get away with Cat because of cats and dogs fighting, but sometimes Cat will help the Greasers and they end up beating him up anyway, why? What possible reason is there to beating up Cat every time they get to? He's snobbish yes, but sometimes Cat doesn't deserve being beat up or anything. It's like the creators had a thing against cats and wanted to see them be beaten up. To make matters worse, the Greasers and Winslow always get away with their bad deeds. What type of lesson is that? Bad guys are always going to win and doing bad things won't get you in trouble? Finally there's the rabbit. I can't remember his name but he was the antagonist most of the times and did seem to get what he deserved from time to time. The characters are not interesting though and the voice work is dreadful. The only real good thing about the show was that the TV movie it had was pretty satisfying and it tied up loose ends and it had the Greasers finally be beaten up. I really do not like this show and I am sorry if you are a fan and think I am being too harsh on it, but I really tried to like it and I can't. I am glad this show is off the air and if is on the air still, I hope it's in a time where I will never be able to see it. If you see this show in TV, just tune into another show and stay far away from this ugly mess of a show.

This is one of my favorite classic Nick cartoons. Some may think that this show is a rip off of Ren and Stimpy, but this isn't similar to that show AT ALL.
Sure, I do wish that Cat and Dog has real names, and it is a bit weird sometimes, but I don't really care.

I have always loved this show when I was a little kid. This show was such a success.

I remember back in the day when I'd watch all those old Nick cartoons in the mornings, from Angry Beavers to Rocko's modern Life, I remember watching CatDog before school. Been years since I last saw it and then I eventually discovered FOUR had started airing CatDog. I was pleased to find out and started watching CatDog in the afternoons. I never really did like the show a whole lot back as a kid but now I'd say that's a pretty decent show. I don't know why lots of people hate it. What, because it's a rip-off on Ren and Stimpy? Okay, I will admit that it is a rip-off on Ren and Stimpy but I ain't mad that it is.

So, CatDog is about two conjoined twins, on one end is Cat and the other end is Dog. Cat is smart and Dog is stupid. Now, that's where you would say this show is a rip-off on Ren and Stimpy. Cat is pretty much a cat version of Ren and Dog is a dog version of Stimpy so it's a reverse. But I'm not mad that it is a rip-off as I've been enjoying watching CatDog again.

Now for animation and designs. I respect this show for being traditionally animated and it being a 90s cartoon. There's just something that brings me back to loving 90s cartoons and its animation. Maybe it's just how the camera captures it? The opening for example is greatly animated. I have no problem with the animation or designs. Well, I'm not really sure how to go into depth about animation and designs.

Voice acting. Cat (Jim Cummings) has a great voice, same with Dog (Tom Kenny). Then there's Winslow who I guess his voice is pretty annoying. Not annoying annoying but that I don't care. But Carlos Alazraqui, love listening to your voice.

Characters. Cat can be a bit of a jerk at times so yeah. Dog is pretty funny at times. The Greasers, I'd have to agree on why do they always beat up Cat. But I guess that's just cos they're dogs. Cat can be a bit of a flirter at times which I find really funny, especially in the episode, "Spaced Out" with the alien princess. That was hilarious. So not only is he a jerk at times but he is a bit of a flirter. Dog can be pretty funny at times, especially how he chases trucks and is the more optimistic of the two twins.

Music. The music is that of country-styled music. Never been into country music but I think it fits the show. The theme song is hilarious, liked it ever since I was a kid.

So, overall, the show is great. Has good episodes, great animation and just overall, a good cartoon from the 90s. I'm really glad I could start watching this show again.

The life and times of a cat and a dog with a unique twist: they're connected, literally. They share one body with a Dog's head at one end and Cat's head on the other. Adding to their dilemma is Cat's annoyance with Dog, mainly caused by Dog's stupidity and Cat's up-tight personality. I don't get why some people think this show sucked. It is not my favorite classic Nicktoons, but I enjoyed the show. It is not perfect because there are stuffs that I hate: the music (too countryish and not a fan of it), and the Greaser Dogs beating up CatDog which kinda gets on my nerves. I'll try to ignore that running gag if that gag doesn't happen more than once. Also, the Greaser Dogs are alright. CatDog are my favorites, because I feel bad whenever they get beat up by the Greasers. Dog is a bit better, because Cat doesn't get happy as much as Dog. Winslow is decent, but he kinda get annoying when he made fun of CatDog (not most of the time). He can be funny sometimes. As for the rest, I think Rancid Rabbit can gets on my nerves when he is acted like a bad guy. When he's not a bad guy, he is alright. The storylines were great, but most of them are usually good thru superb. My favorite episode is tough. I can't decide which is my favorite, but I liked The Island. Overall, Cat Dog is a great show. The haters need to give it chance...I had seen around 40 people who hate this show. 8.5/10

I love animals and I love cats and dogs but this is just a disgrace. I mean OK if a cat and a dog lived together in two seperate bodies but why did you have to make it one whole body. And another thing why are there adopted parents a monster and a frog? And also isnt it obvioust that there parents are a dog and a cat?

Man this really really really really really sucks! Another one of these crappy baby shows with a crappy storyline, crappy episode plots, crappy characters who boast about their obnoxious egos, and really really crappy dialogue " Take a nuber & get in line!" Really, what is the deal with that brain-less catch phrase.The focus of this show is nothing but mindless action with little to no depth in story just like nearly every single baby show out their.

Another thing the lead characters is supposed to be a gay couple. Then why the hell is the cat falling for the ladys! There's no way to be cute in crappy disney style voice acting. Furthermore these morons just engage in direct hateful-ness without consideration alternative strategies just like I am Weasle. Then there is the voice acting. It's as enjoyable as getting my copy of "Mario Kart: Double Dash" stuck in a blender. I'm pretty sure this show is made by and for three year old brain-damaged monkeys."Believe it"



I actually had low expectations for this show. I was still reeling from the psychological blow inflicted upon my very soul by Kirby: Right Back at Ya! and was near tears when the season 2 for CatDog started airing on Nicktoons. All 4kids entertaiment expected out of this was a Terriable voice casting, some original musical scores, and a plot that could at least serve as a Poor ideas.



Looking at the rating I gave this, you should know the results.



This show was like being strangled to death with your own bleeding, pus-spewing intestines. I was literally screaming after listening to Rancid Rabbit talk to Cat or whatever the hell was going in this demented trainwreck of a story. What was worse, this...thing was aired after Chalkzone, which meant my hopes were lifted into the air on an altar of glory by the excellency of the former and dashed onto the jagged rocks of pain and humiliation by CatDog. Let's start with the voices. Rancid Rabbit and the Greasers sounded like someone had created their voices using the tortured squrriels in a burning kitten. The animation was at at worst bewildering.



The narrative was jarring. The creators had decided to string together a series of unfunny jokes using a terrialbe plot. I had no idea what was going on half the time and when I could understand it the show made me wish I couldn't. If this show doesn't improve and fast, it will probably end up The Weekends, falling into the dumpster of rotten programs like millions of 4kids failures before it.

This is one of the worst cartoons my childern and I have every watch. It is just so stupid half dog half cat. How did this show stay on for so many years. Even my kids thought the show was stupid. They would not even watch it if it was the only thing on.



Every story was terriable the other animals on the show were dumb. Sometimes I wonder what it takes to be a creative mind to come up with new telivison shows. The person that had this idea should be shot. Becasue the struck out with this one glad to see it finally GONE.

This show really seemed interesting at first. I caught a glance of the commercial while flipping through the channels. It looked original and funny. But sadly, it isn't. My objections are to the voice acting, which is kind of terrible (Many of the actors are the same people who do some of the poorer Disney dubs like House of Mouse), the jokes, which aren't funny, and the cliché plots (I remember seeing one where the main characters hired there enimes to be there bodyguards & protect them. It's been done before). I applaud the show for it's unique visual style and zany attitude, but without real worthwhile content, I can't say much for "Mr Meaty".

I don't see why everone likes it, all it is these two idiots getting in trouble & plenty of bordum. When they succseeded making a show about two idiots sharing the same body the mines of many people get eating by this piece of crap



I myself can't stand this show. The voice-acting is annoying & the humor is juvenille & Nicktoons Network if you still have a soul, you'll take it off



so if you good Nicktoons to come back on the air like Rocko's Modern Life, Invader Zim, or even Mr. Bean: the Animated Series avoid this at all cost.



but if you like what Nicktoons Network gave you & also like Rocko's Modern Life like myself you are fogiving but if you like minless crap thats on Nicktoons right now (I also hate Chalkzone, Martin Mystery, & Shurekin School & I still don't think CatDog is funny) you better off to avoid it.

So, we've got a cat and a dog stuck together like crazy like winslow trying to harass them with his harassment, or sexual harassment as I like to call it, but if he actually did it, instead of TV-Y7, it would be rated TV-14 or even TV-MA.

CatDog is the most greatist show ever I think it's betting SB by a long shot. CatDog has enemys called the greasers that beat them up in like every episode, Raniced Rabbit there's an 70% chance that he will do bad things to CatDog. This show may be bad to other people... but, it's much better than that... As told by Ginger junk (DEATH to that show!!!!!!(It all ready happened)). There's this one episode called CatDog's end, it go's completly along with The end episode. Ran out of titles. CatDog is like the best show on Nickleoden the're up there with Rocko and Ren and Stimpy

One thing I will give this show is the creativity of the writer.



I mean, the idea of having a cat and dog share a body is a very unique story to say the least. One thing I don't get is how they got they way. According to the theme song, a dog and cat mated, and that's how it happened. I find that explanation very weird. How does a cat and dog share a body from a mixed species mating anyway?



Anyway, as for the characters, it was a pretty decent cast, from the egotistical Cat, the mild mannered, loyal Dog, the smart-aleck, jerk personality of Winslow, and of course the bullies of Cliff, Lube and Shriek.



The greaser gang was an interesting group of villains I'll admit, though I got sick of them always getting better of CatDog, or should I say Cat. Most of the time, I don't think they'd even laid a hand on Dog. I almost wonder if the producer of the show hated cats. One thing I did like about the show was the Shriek's crush on Dog. It was funny trying to see her wanting him to like her back, yet at the same was a sworn enemy of her gang's. However, I found it real bizarre that Cat actually had a crush on her as well. Huh? I know she's cute and all, but she was always beating on him. What, did he find that lovable about her? Plus, she's a dog, and he's a cat. Yea, I know they're technically anthros, but I just found the whole idea of this love triangle very strange.



However, I will admit another love interest of Cat's was very interesting to watch, none other than the Ingrid twins, two characters I thought were very cute. The funny thing is, they never really liked Cat back, yet they would find Dog attractive from time to time. Again, why? Is Dog really that much of a chick magnet? Eh, go figure.



All and all, this show was ok. Wasn't bad, but certainly could have been written better as well.

This show had to be the best show I ever watched when I was young. I rarely see it anymore but I still like it. I wish Nickalodian would bring it back and not have it on Nick Toons because some people dont get Digital Cable! If there's any DVD's of this I'll buy them for sure.

This show is really not good at all. There is many reasons for me saying that. The reason is that the show is lacking any excitment. The world they live in is full of boring colours that have this borefest kind of look. Trust me if you want a show that bad in story, characters, and excitment then heres your show.

I think this show is very good. If I like it, and it isn't comedy, it must be really good. I think the fact they didn't air the final episodes is bad because that would sum it up and make me happy. But really, I like this show and it needs to be revived. It only airs about twice a year, around Halloween and the Holidays. It could have gone so much further, but sadly, it didn't.

Who was the loser that created this show anyway? All they did was make conjoined twins out of Ren and Stimpy. Even Ren and Stimpty were clean compaired to this disgusting show. I hate the way Winslow and the Greaser Dogs constantly torment poor CatDog, and they usually get away with it. What is that supposed to teach our children, bullies always win? As far as I am concerned, this has to be by far the absolute worst cartoon Nickelodeon has ever produced. I unquestionly hate this show with every atom of my soul, and there are very few cartoons that I do hate.

This show was rather enjoyable to say the least. It was interesting and fun to watch, but the green rabbit in the blue suit got a little annoying after a little while. I like the animation and I liked the stories because of their uniqueness. They were mostly original and creative. One thing about this show that seperated it from the rest was that it didn't really copy off of other external sources. Meaning that it didn't copy off of other movies, shows, entertainment, etc. One bad thing about this show was that with all the good things said, it wasn't that great though. I liked it, but not that much. Also, it wasn't as good as other Classic Nicktoons. 75/100.

A cat and a dog on each end? BOOOORING!At first I liked the show, but I really don't like it anymore. Nothing really interesting goes on in the show anymore. I mean, what's up with an ugly Blue mouse named Winslow? And how can CatDog be from two different animals??

Not too original or Nickelodeon's best show. But very funny indeed, yes the animation sucked and didn't attract a lot of people. But so what? dont judge a show by its animation, it was funnier and clever than you would believe. CatDog is somewhat like Ren and Stimpy but a little more appropriate for everyone and all around silly fun. Some episodes they needed to work on, but this show didn't have too many downfalls. One of their funniest quotes were, "we are the geekers!" and "high-ho-diggity!"

This show is also one of my favourite Nicktoons along with Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents, Yakity Yak and Angry Beavers. I don't get a chance to see this show very often because it is never on because of all the cheap japanese cartoons on Nickelodeon and Nicktoons. Overall this is a great show.

If you want to watch something fun, wacky, creative, that is thought provoking and interesting then CatDog the cartoon on Nickelodeon might be for you.



Two brothers one an uptight, neat and tidy smart feline, the other a carefree, dirty, ditsy canine, share the same body. It's a shame this cartoon is so under-rated. CatDog are 2 very inspiring characters showing us all that if you work hard and don't give up you can live a healthy happy life no matter what weaknesses you have and how different you might be to others around you. It's heartfelt showing of unconditional love is amazing. CatDog proves that no matter how day vs night personalities can be, that with understanding, friendship and love, 2 loved ones can get along and work together. This cartoon gives a very emotional look, at what characters can go through with a one of a kind feature. Since CatDog are the stars, viewers feel empathy towards these brothers when other characters pick on them. It's like Charlie Brown. I highly recommend this cartoon for anyone that loves social satire, and very creative story telling. The detail to this cartoon is incredible and can be enjoyed by all ages!

Catdog is a very funny show. They use to show it on Nick. Now they don't show it anymore. They show it on Nictoons but they don't show it enough. They show it in the morning at 7:00. Catdog should be shone more. The show is about this cat and dog who are in the same body. They are brothers. The house they live in is right by a cliff. Inside the house there is a mouse named Winslow. Catdog like to go eat at the taco depot. Except this rabbit named Rancid doesn't let them go in. The greasers try to always beat up Catdog. This is a great show. Nick should bring it back.

The show really sucks. The animation is bad already but the story line is just too stupid and doesn’t deserve to be on T.V. It’s not funny, scary, entertaining, or even interesting. The characters could use a lot of work especially that annoying green rabbit. The theme song is annoying and after listing to it three times it gets stuck in your head all day. The community gave it a 7.0 but I think it deserves a 4.6. Every episode has a crappy story line and doesn’t deserve a rating past a 6.0. I am so glad it got canceled!

This is one of my personal favorite Nicktoons of all time: Catdog, which I'd enjoyed when I was younger. I really like the plot of this show and it is very interesting. This show's about a cat and a dog share a body. Cat's the intelligent one and dog's the slow yet funny one. The show has fantastic characters like Winslow, the Greasers, Mervis and Dunglap, Eddie the squirrel and Rancid Rabbit. I really enjoy the humor of this show and various of the jokes are well written. The animation is very nice and the episodes are very fun to watch and even the theme song is very catchy. Catdog, one of the Nicktoons that never disappoints me and still great to watch today.
