Did a Medieval Chinese astrologer make it into space by strapping rockets to his chair and setting them off? Just how hard IS it to find a needle in a haystack? Can you in fact go insane by having water drip on your forehead? These are just a few of the myths, urban legends, and improbable sayings that the Mythbusters try to figure out. Comprised of special effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Heineman - as well as their mottley crew of Mythbuilders, Mythterns, and resident 'crash test dummy' Buster - they don't just tell the myths, they put them to the test to see which ones are possible, and which ones are just plain bunk. As of 2008, MYTHBUSTERS has tested 600 myths, done over 1,900 experiments and created over 650 explosions to prove these Myths Right or Wrong!moreless

To prevent the jewel from being stolen, Kagome accidentally shoots it with the enchanted arrow, shattering it into thousands of pieces. The evil Naraku also seeks the jewel for his own reasons. New allies, Kagome and Inuyasha, join forces with Shippo, a small fox-demon, Miroku, a monk, and Sango, the sole surviving demon-hunter, in order to combat Naraku and recover the fragments of the "Jewel of Four Souls". He has the ablilty to change his form into anything he wants, which he did to trick Inuyasha and Kikyo into hating each other. He has used Inuyasha's brother Sesshomaru to try and get rid of Inuyasha, but to no avail. He also has an 'army' of bug-type creatures, called Saimyosho. Naraku is also a half-demon like Inuyasha, but born in a different way. Naraku can choose the time of month to return to his 'original' form. He uses this time to re-arrange his body into a stronger and more powerful form. Naraku also gains the ablilty to make offspring, later. Koga - Koga is the son of a leader of the wolf demon tribe. He has 2 Shikon jewel shards in his legs (one in each) which gives him super speed. He first comes into the story when he attacks the village where Rin lived. Created by Craig McCracken, The Powerpuff Girls has become popular with a broad audience. The Powerpuff Girls first incarnation was as a project for Craig McCracken's college class at The California Arts Institution in 1992. Three years later, the crew at Cartoon Network saw it and gave it its first pilot in 1995. Later on in the following year, The Powerpuff Girls had their second pilot, and finally a TV series in 1998.

The show is about three little girls who were created in a laboratory experiment by Professor Utonium, who combined sugar, spice, and everything nice in an effort to create the perfect little girl. However, the professor accidentally added some "Chemical X" into the mix, and the three girls were born from the resulting explosion. With their super charged powers, they challenge the forces of evil so that justice will prevail.

The Powerpuff Girls is one of Cartoon Network's original animated series and is part of the collection known as Cartoon Cartoons.

The Powerpuff Girls is one of Cartoon Network's highest rating shows.

Craig McCracken is also the creator of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

    Characters:

Blossom - According to the closing credits' theme song, Blossom is "commander and the leader" of the Powerpuff Girls. The most intelligent and intellectual one of them all, she comes up with most of the plans to defeat the villains. She has very long red hair. At times she can be bossy but she always finds a way to keep her sisters from fighting each other. Her element is everything nice.

Bubbles - Bubbles is "the joy and the laughter" of the group. As the sweetest one of all, she is overly sensitive and just hates to fight with her sisters. Even though she may seem bubbly on the outside she really is tough on the inside and proves at times to be hardcore as her sisters. Her element is sugar.

Buttercup - Buttercup is "the toughest fighter." Her philosophy is to fight first and ask questions later. She is the most eager to defeat the villains on their missions. Though she seems tough all the time, she does have a sensitive side to her, which she rarely shows. Her element is spice.

Professor Utonium - The creator of The Powerpuff Girls, Professor Utonium is their father-figure who guides, teaches, and loves the girls.

Mojo Jojo - The most maniacal of all the villains, Mojo hates The Powerpuff Girls with a vengeance. He used to be known simply as Jojo, the Professor's lab assistant, but after The Powerpuff Girls' birth, the chemicals that created them affected him as well and mutated his brain. Ever since then, he's dedicated his life to crushing them and the world that loves them.

Him - Known as the evilest of evil, Him is a devil figure who despises The Powerpuff Girls. His plans to destroy them are typically the most psychologically twisted, but he always fails in his efforts.

Fuzzy Lumpkins - A country hillbilly. Fuzzy doesn't really care about world domination or taking over Townsville. He just wants people off his property, and turns into a dangerous monster that the girls must fight when anyone violates his personal space.

Princess Morebucks - A spoiled brat with a rotten temper. Princess is rich and gets anything she wants -- but when she meets The Powerpuff Girls, having super powers is what she wants most but can never have. She uses technology to act duplicitous, in hopes of either joining or destroying the Powerpuff Girls, but her efforts always fail.

The Mayor - The dumb, but lovable ruler of Townsville. He mindlessly watches over Townsville and when there's trouble he uses the hotline and alerts the Powerpuff Girls right away.

Ms. Bellum - The beautiful brains behind the Mayor. Whenever the Mayor does something stupid, she corrects it. He would be lost without her. She is also an important female role model for the Powerpuff Girls. In many ways, Ms. Bellum and the Powerpuff Girls are the most powerful people in Townsville.

Ms. Keane - A teacher at Pokey Oaks Kindergarten who is a mentor to The Powerpuff Girls. She is gentle and kind, and when there are problems in the oom, she shows The Powerpuff Girls a better solution without violence.

The Amoeba Boys - Three villains that desperately try to come up with crimes worthy of getting the Powerpuff Girls attention, so they can be considered super villains and go to jail. But they're just amoebas, and their efforts never really come to much.

The Gang Green Gang - A gang comprised of 5 mutated green-skinned teens. Their names are Ace, Big Billy, Grubber, Snake, and Lil' Arturo. Unlike most villains they are not that concerned about taking over Townsville. They just love to commit petty crimes.

Sedusa - Yet another villain, Sedusa is a medusa-like figure who has snake-like hair, the source of her superpowers. She is a master of disguise who uses her feminine wiles to seduce men into giving her want she wants and escaping crimes.

The Rowdyruff Boys - The evil male counterparts of The Powerpuff Girls, these three boys were originally created by Mojo Jojo, using snips, snails, and puppy-dog tails, which he mixed together in a disgusting prison toilet. Their powers are a fairly even match for the girls.

Based on Walt Longmire Mystery series of novels by Craig Johnson, Longmire also is named after its central character, Walt Longmire, the local sheriff in rural Wyoming. As the series starts, Longmire has been widowed for a year and, still in pain, hides behind a brave face and dry wit. After his wife's death, he dragged himself into the office but his heart wasn't really in the job. He knows it's time to turn his life around and with the help of his daughter, Cady, and his deputy, Vic, he revives his interest in his job and decides to give his all to his re-election campaign. Victoria "Vic" Moretti is the newest addition to the sheriff's office. She was a Philadelphia homicide detective for five years before relocating to Wyoming. While adjusting to how to deal with the locals, Vic is out to prove she's not a rookie. She has a deep connection with Longmire along with her playful attitude and he allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Longmire's lifelong best friend and close confidant is Henry Standing Bear, the owner of the local bar. Henry is often Walt's go-between with the reservation. Unlike Longmire, Henry embraces progress and the trappings of the modern world while holding a close connection with his past. Another one of Longmire's deputies is ambitious go-getter Branch Connally. He's motivated more by political aspirations than his work as a deputy. He thinks Longmire's stuck in the past and wants the department to have the technology that most other law enforcement agencies use. It's his umbrage towards Walt's outdated methods that pushes him to run for sheriff. Longmire's only child is daughter, Cady Longmire, an attorney who dreams of practicing law in a big city. With the death of her mother, Cady has stayed to help Walt get his life back together. She isn't afraid to tell her father like it is, and it's this straight talk and sense of humor that makes their connection strong. Longmire's third deputy is The Ferg who has a heart of gold. He's loyal and well meaning and always eager to please. The Ferg can hunt and fix most anything but he's not much of an investigator. Longmire is produced by The Shephard/Robin Company in association with Warner Horizon Television. Hunt Baldwin and John Coveny wrote the pilot and serve as executive producers along with Greer Shephard and Michael M. Robin. The series stars Australian actor Robert Taylor as Walt Longmire, along with Katee Sackhoff, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bailey Chase, Cassidy Freeman and newcomer Adam Bartley. The first three seasons aired on A&E. When it was cancelled by A&E, the series was shopped around until Netflix agreed to air a 10-episode fourth season.moreless

Sanctuary, the first broadcast quality Sci-Fi series to migrate from the Internet to network (cable) television, and the first TV series to be recorded by a digital RED camera using green screen technology on almost every shot, stars Stargate SG-1 veteran Amanda Tapping as Dr. Helen Magnus. Dr. Magnus heads a global network of Sanctuaries for supernatural creatures, or as she likes to call them, Abnormals - which she retrieves from all over the world. Having injected a serum she created from pure, ancient vampire blood, Magnus and a small group of colleagues have come to possess special, paranormal abilities, or "powers" - hers being extreme longevity. Helen Magnus is a very beautiful and very well-preserved 158-years-old. In her work, she is backed by a team of talented specialists : her daughter Ashley (Emilie Ullerup), trained in weapons and combat; Henry Foss (Ryan Robbins), a techno wizard, geek and part-time werewolf; the Big Guy (Christopher Heyerdahl), a gentle giant who also happens to be an intelligent, well-refined member of the Sasquatch branch of the hominid family. Heyerdahl also plays John Druitt - sometime friend and sometime foe, a teleporter who just happens to be Ashley's father - and Jack the Ripper. Dr. Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne) completes the team. Will, a young forensic psychiatrist who recently died and came back from the dead in Kali (3), has become Magnus' trusted confidant and protégé. Unfortunately, Ashley was lost to the void at the beginning of Season Two and may or may not ever return. She was replaced on Team Magnus by Kate (Agam Darshi), a former con-woman and thief with many shady connections. Druitt, like his daughter, sacrificed himself for the team and vanished - and again, may or may not return. In 2008, on the basis of the buzz created by eight webisodes (totaling about two hours), Sanctuary was picked up by the Sci Fi Channel for 13 sixty-minute episodes, beginning with the two-part webisode redux pilot, Sanctuary For All. In November of 2008, the series was renewed for a second 13 episode season, and on October 15, 2010, after an interminable nine-month delay, Sanctuary began its third fantastic season on the now renamed SyFy - this time with 22 exciting episodes and even longer story arcs.moreless
