    (ended 1992)
Based on one of the most beloved toylines of the 1980's, My Little Pony started out as a couple of animated specials and a feature film before finally becoming a cartoon series. Its various incarnations told the adventures of the little ponies and all of their friends as they lived in the beautiful Dream Valley. There were literally dozens of ponies of all different colors and they were divided into Earth ponies, Unicorns, and Pegasus ponies. All were fundamentally magical beings and each had a small picture on her back that reflected her name or personality. The ponies' most cherished friend is Megan, a young girl of about 13 who was brought to Ponyland to help them in their darkest hour. She continued to visit her friends and often served as leader when trouble struck. Eventually, her younger brother Danny (probably 11) and sister Molly (around 9) met the ponies, and the three of them came to stay in Ponyland for extended visits. There were many different beings who lived in Ponyland besides the ponies. Those who were seen most frequently were Spike (a baby dragon), the Moochick (an absent-minded magician), the Bushwoolies (multicolored fur balls who all seemed to act as one) and the Grundles (friendly troll creatures who tunneled underground). They were always willing to lend a hand when a lesson needed to be learned or villains threatened Dream Valley. The show featured original songs and lessons about teamwork, love, kindness, and bravery. The stories began as 15-minute episodes, but eventually they were expanded into multi-part 15-minute episodes. These were shown alongside other cartoons in a half-hour block titled "My Little Pony and Friends" which included The Moon Dreamers and The Potato Head Kids before being given their own half-hour time slot. In 1992 the Disney Channel would create a new series featuring brand-new ponies with a more preteen spin on the storylines called My Little Pony Tales, which is featured in this guide as Season 3. The Disney Channel would continue to show these episodes for many years in syndication.moreless

It drops Zan and Jayna from the previous incarnation and makes several "guest stars" full members of the Justice League, giving us a membership of Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Robin, Hawkman, Flash, Green Lantern, Black Vulcan, Samurai, and Apache Chief. Pitted against them are some real villains - the Legion of Doom: 13 of the most powerful supervillains from "remote galaxies" (well, 12 + Black Manta... :) ). Who are they? Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Solomon Grundy, the Riddler, the Scarecrow, Bizarro, Cheetah, Black Manta, Giganta, Gorilla Grodd, Sinestro, Captain Cold, and the Toyman. Okay, everyone but Brainiac, Sinestro, and Bizarro was from Earth (most of the gang is from Kansas City, we think), but "remote galaxies" sounded more impressive. Character Guide

    Manny Rivera/El Tigre

For the most part, Manny Rivera is a well-meaning kid with the energy and the spirit of a hero. But Manny is no goody-two-shoes. He's also got some serious supervillian potential. When he spins his mystical belt buckle, Manny transforms into the brave and powerful El Tigre, who struggles with whether to use his superpowers for good or evil.

    Frida Faurez

Frida is Manny's best friend. But she's not always the best influence on Manny. She always has his back when he's in trouble, but she is usually the one who gets him into it. Frida is up for just about anything, the superpower stuff doesn't phase her.

    Rodolfo Rivera/White Pantera

Manny's father Rodolfo is a good old-fashioned dad, complete with rules and orders that Manny doesn't always follow. He is also a semi-retired super-hero known as the White Pantera.

    Grandpapi Rivera/Puma Loco

Manny's Grandpapi is the nicest old man out there. But he is also evil to the core, and wants Manny to be the same way. He is a retired super-villian known as Puma Loco. To describe his relationship with his son (Manny's super-hero father) it would be: love/hate.moreless

    Legends Of The Hidden Temple

Nick Jr. (Returning August 22, 2015)
Legends of the Hidden Temple is a physical challenge game show for Characters that aired from November 6, 2010 to the present day. Philippa Forrester, the host, would be introduced by Olmec, a large talking rock in the middle of the stage. She would ask Olmec what legend they'd hear about that day, and Olmec would name a historical figure and an item used by them. She would then repeat what Olmec said and would then introduce the teams. ROUND 1: THE MOAT The Moat started off with all six teams (The Red Jaguars, Blue Barracudas, Green Monkeys, Orange Iguanas, Purple Parrots and the Silver Snakes). Each team consisted of a boy and girl. The Moat was a small pool built into the stage. After the teams were introduced, Forrester (the first year) or Olmec (years 2 and 3) would tell the teams how to cross the moat. Sometimes it consisted of climbing across tire swings, paddling your way across and other creative ways. Falling into the water usually made the team go back to the starting line and try again. Once the first partner crossed, the second partner would usually cross the moat in the same manner. Once both partners got to the other side, they would hit their gong. (which was basically a small podium with a button that lit up and made a sound once the player hit it) The first four teams to hit their gongs would proceed to the Steps of Knowledge. The two other teams would be eliminated. ROUND 2: THE STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE The four teams leftwould be at the top of a roll-away staircase. Olmec would tell a brief story about how the Historical Figure came across and/or used the artifact that he mentioned at the beginning of the show, and after the story, Olmec would quiz the players on their memory of the story. If a team thought they knew the answer, they'd buzz in by stomping on an "ancient marking" in front of them. If they got the question right, they would move down a step. If they gave an incorrect response or took too long to answer, they would be excluded from answering the question and the other teams would get the chance to. Once a team got three correct answers, they'd move down to the bottom level of the stairs and move on to Round 3. Once two teams accomplished that, both would move on to the Temple Games. ROUND 3: THE TEMPLE GAMES The two remaining teams went on to the Temple Games. There were three temple games...one for the boys, one for the girls, and one for both. The first two would be played for half a pendant of life, and the third would be played for a full pendant. Each Temple Game required the players to do a physically challenging task, such as knocking down opponents statues, tossing a (fake) boulder to their teammate and having them catch it, and other things like that. Each Temple Game usually lasted for 60 seconds. Whichever team won or was further along in that time won the game and would recieve the pendant it was worth. If the game was a tie, both teams would get the pendant. At the end of the third Temple Game, whichever team had the most pendants went on to the fourth and final round. If both teams had the same amount of pendants, a tie-breaker question was asked and whichever team got it right went on to the Temple. No pendants could be won from a tie-breaking question. In later series, Legends Monopoly is played by Forrester and the both teams try to figure out to play the game. ROUND 4: THE TEMPLE This is probably the most exciting round of the game. The last remaining team would navigate Olmec's temple (which consisted of 12 rooms). Before they entered the Temple, Olmec would explain how to open the doors in all the rooms of the temple. However, there were at least two doors leading out of almost every room, and there was no telling which one would open once the objective to open the door was completed. The pendants of life earned in the temple games played a huge role in how the team could do in the temple. In three rooms, there were temple guards. If you went into a room with one, it would come out and grab the player. If the player had a full pendant handy, they could give it to the Temple Guard and the Temple Guard would back off. If the player did not have a full pendant, the Temple Guard would take them out of the Temple and their teammate would have to go in and finish the job. In one of the rooms was the artifact mentioned at the beginning of the show. If they grabbed it, all the doors to the Temple would unlock and any of the remaining Temple Guards would retreat. The team had 3 minutes to go in the temple, grab the artifact and come out. If the team had 1 1/2 pendants, the other half of a full pendant would usually be in a well hidden part of the Temple. Getting it would give the team an extra life and an invulnerability to temple guards and could only lose if time ran out. If the team got the artifact and came out of the temple, they would win the grand prize which handed by Forrester.moreless

It is a time when, even if nets were to guide all consciousness that had been converted to photons and electrons toward coalescing, standalone individuals have not yet been converted into data to the extent that they can form unique components of a larger complex. Based on the manga by Shirō Masamune and made popular world-wide by Mamoru Oshii's 1995 cyberpunk classic, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex adds more to the rich, philosophical tale of the fusion between man and machine. The year is 2030 and man and machine are fast becoming fully integrated. Advancements in computer technology that can be melded into both body and mind have become readily available. Criminal acts have entered a new era as well. Exploiting the very systems meant to advance society for the better, criminals have created new ways to get what they desire. Cyberbrains, now very commonplace within society, allow for the abuse of people's minds through hacking. Along with body enhancements come androids that allow for criminals to work their machinations from behind the scenes. As new and more serious forms of crime escalate, more advanced police units are needed to handle these emerging threats. That is why Public Security Section 9, a special task force made up of both flesh and blood humans and mechanical cyborgs, has been assembled. Equipped with the latest technology and advance multipedal tanks called Tachikomas, Section 9 handles high crimes committed against the Japanese people. Each member has their own strong points that come in handy during each mission, but when dealing with such highly advanced criminals, strong points are second only to cold, hard skill. A Note about the Episodes For Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - 1st GIG, the SA/C nomenclature denotes SA as 'Stand Alone' and C as 'Complex'. 'Stand Alone' episodes deal with various cases that Section 9 handles. 'Complex' episodes cover one major case that Section 9 investigates throughout the first season. For Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - 2nd GIG the IN/DI/DU nomenclature denotes IN as 'INdividual' episodes, DI as 'DIvidual' episodes, and DU as 'DUal' episodes. Primeval, a high-budget series, follows Professor Nick Cutter and his team as they investigate anomalies in time found in the Forest of Dean. An unfortunate side-effect of the anomalies is that dinosaurs are moving through them and into the present time, making the team's investigations that much more stressful. Cutter's wife also disappears while investigating the anomalies and he makes it his mission to find and save her. This series originally aired on ITV and begins on BBC America on August 9, 2008.moreless

    (ended 1999)
Trapped on a primitive planet, two opposing factions, the Maximals and the Predacons, of Transformers, a race of sentient robots, fight over its precious Energon. Soon they discover that there are other forces at work on the planet - a powerful alien race that does not approve of their presence. And as they delve deeper into the planet's history, they uncover a terrible secret, one that must not be allowed to fall into the wrong hands, or their entire race's very existence could be threatened. Beast Wars was a spin-off from the 80s Transformers cartoon. It was later followed by Beast Machines, which continues this show. Another interesting series to note that Beast Wars may have started is Beast Wars Neo, completely done in Japanese and yet to be dubbed; it is vaguely reminiscent of Gundam Wing, and many other popular mobile suit animes.moreless
