    The WB (ended 1997)
Dexter Douglas is a mild-mannered teenager who, while logged onto the Internet one Christmas, is thrust into a horrible crash on the information superhighway and transformed into an electrifying superhero. He's average, predictable, the middle of the bell curve and the center of the silent majority, which most consider completely dull and boring; the type of person who just blends into the crowd. However, all this changes when he turns into the Freakazoid, a lightening haired superhero who wears red underwear and uses his new abilities to fight evil and do battle with villains such as the Lobe. That is, unless Cosgrove, his best friend and chief of police, can suggest something better to do. With his many trusted sidekicks, his fabulous Freakalair and his girlfriend Steph by his side, he's ready to save the day; that is, unless there's something better on TV. Character Descriptions Freakazoid is the hero of our show, the crazy alter-ego of Dexter Douglas. He draws his amazing powers of super speed and strength from cyberspace, which he obtained after an accident involving a Pinnacle Computer Chip. While he does his best to save the day, he's considered a lunatic and often does the unexpected. Dexter Douglas is the teenage geek alter-ego of Freakazoid, he's quiet, mild mannered and a bit of a nerd; though he does keep his other identity a secret. However, when evil rears its ugly head, Dexter will "Freak Out" to become the mighty Freakazoid. Cosgrove is the chief of police and Freakazoid's best friend. He's always on the hand with good advice for our hero and he typically has a neat idea about how to spend the afternoon. While he's not always useful, he usually does come along to bust the bad guys when Freakazoid managed to defeat the villains. Steph is both Dexter and Freakazoid's love interest; she's considered an attractive character but is romantically interested in Freakazoid, which makes Dexter upset; though it does permit her to be around to help Freakazoid save the day at times. The Lobe is Freakazoid's archenemy; he's always coming up with diabolical schemes that will help him take over the world, though despite his huge brain, he's always running into Freakazoid's opposition at every turn. The Huntsman, formally Marty Feeb, is a super strong, super fast hero who lives in the forest, but will run to the city to fight crime in a jiffy whenever 'The Horn of Urgency' is sounded. Provided it isn't a slow crime day, that is. Lord Bravery is an up and coming British super hero trying to make his name. Things just never seem to go right for him though. His best friend Lydia is a very kind-hearted twelve-year-old living girl into goth. Together they made the perfect pair: her even-tempered and levelheaded, and him manic and hot under the collar. If you think your school is a dump, think yourself lucky you don't go to the Monster Academy. It's an UNDERNEATH one!

But then again, this is no ordinary school, and Ickis, Krumm and Oblina are no ordinary students either... Welcome to the land of AAAHH!!! Real Monsters, where, at the Monster Academy, up-and-coming students learn the terrifying tricks of the monster trade, and get the necessary qualifications for a life of advance scarifying (their GCS-Eeks?).

Here, the insecure Ickis, the stinky-armpitted Krumm, and the candycane-shaped Oblina deal with issues like how to best scare supermarket shoppers, where to hide under the bed, and what to do with your eyeballs when you're not holding them in your mouth (here's a hint: juggle them).

All of this goes on under the watchful eyes of their teacher, the fearful Gromble. While these walking nightmares always find new ways to get into trouble, they survive their adventures by sticking together, sometimes literally!

Did you Know? A movie was once considered by the creators.

    Syfy (ended 1999)
Sonic Underground premiered in 1999, and is the third U.S animated adventure to feature Sonic The Hedgehog, as with the previous two series, this show takes a slightly different direction and tone. This time, Sonic is one of three siblings, who together, are known as the hit rock band "Sonic Underground". In addition to being a rock band, the siblings are also the children of Aleena, queen of Mobius, who hid her kin away at an early age to keep them safe from the evil dictator who overthrew her: Sonic's age-old enemy, Dr. Robotnik. Robotnik learns of a prophecy that the hedgehogs will one day defeat him, find their mother, and restore peace to the planet. He immediately schemes to ensure the super-charged siblings do not fulfil this premonition. But with the aid of powerful medallions, Sonic, his brother Manic, and their sister Sonia, are determined to take the fight to Robotnik and his SWAT BOTS, as well as take the fight for freedom to a whole new velocity level. NOTE: It was shown on the BKN (Big Kids' Network), which Sci-Fi was affiliated with until 2001. It was syndicated onto UPN, but originally was with the Sci-Fi Channel weekdays at 6 A.M. Central Standards Time. Sonic Underground Theme Song: Triplets Born The Throne Awaits A Seer Warns Of A Deadly Fate Give up Your Children, Seperate Bide Your Time, Lie in Wait Sonic Underground Sonic Underground They Made A Vow Their Mother Will Be Found The Children Grow, Learn What's Right Leaders Of The Freedom Fight They Seek Their Mother, She Knows They Do Is It Time? If She Only Knew.. Will the Prophecy come True? Sonic Underground Sonic Underground Queen Aleena: I long for my children, but I have to wait, to act too soon could seal thier fate... They Made A Vow Their Mother Will Be Found SONIC UNDERGROUND! CHARACTERS: SONIC: One character that definitely doesn't need to be introduced is Sonic the Hedgehog. He is the fastest and coolest hedgehog in all of Mobius. His famous Super Spin lets him buzz right through walls, robots, and any obstacle Robotnik can come up with. Just like the 2 previous cartoons, he's voiced by Jaleel "Urkel" White. MANIC: One of the new characters in "Sonic Underground" is Sonic's brother Manic. Being a drummer, his brain can sometimes be too busy listening to his own unique beat to focus on what's happening arond him. He doesn't have any speed skills like Sonic; the only one he has mastered so far is speed drumming. He too is voiced by Jaleel White. SONIA: Another character is Sonic's sister Sonia. Her musical instrument is a portable keyboard synthesizer which also serves her as a gun. While Sonia doesn't have Sonic's speed, she has an unique ability: the Super Twirl, which lets her accelerate into a whirlwind spiral.Belive it or not, she's also voiced by Jaleel White. DR. ROBOTNIK: Robotnik is the ultimate villain, which we all love to hate. He is as mean and evil-looking as always, and more determined to catch Sonic and his siblings than ever, removing the last threat that stands between his final triumph. Voiced by Gary Chalk, who you may remember as the voice of Grounder from AoStH SWATBOTS: The new model SWATBOTS are meaner and more dangerous than the version in the previous cartoon series. They are all hi-tech, sporting a red metal body and dark grey metal limbs. Dingo and Sleet: Dingo and Sleet are Dr.Robotnik's evil Bounty Hunters. Dingo is a buff and muscle-bound dingodile who is in love with Sonia and not too bright however he is able to transform into anything. Sleet is a very smart Wolf who can make up very good plans to catch Sonic and his siblings.moreless

    ABC (ended 2000)
The show was made in 1999. It is the spin-off to Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, the sitcom. This cartoon was completely different from the show itself. It featured our main character Sabrina except as a 12 year-old in Jr. High School just developing her powers. Her best friends are Chloe Flan and Harvey Dwight Kinkle. Chloe is the only mortal that knows that Sabrina is a witch, and Harvey is still Sabrina's secret crush. Together they have many adventures. Her rival is Gem Stone, the equivalent of Libby Chessler from the original show, and is incredibly rich. She still has the same aunts: Hilda and Zelda Spellman except they are teenagers, and she has an additional household member, Uncle Quigley. In this show even though Sabrina has her magic, she relies on a Spookie Jar to sometimes to help her cast spells. All of these characters help make the show as great as it was. Unfortunately Sabrina, the Teenage Witch was still greater so the show ended with only one season of 65 episodes. Though it has ended, it still is a great addition in Sabrina history and Viacom productions. However it wasn't the end for Sabrina: the show was slightly brought back in Oct. 2002 as a Nickelodeon TV-Movie! Sabrina the Animated Series: Friends Forever. Trivia(Not Goofs) -Did you know that this series was so popular that WB ended up making another spin-off called Sabrina's Secret Life -This series suffered the same fate of many Disney series, with only 65 episodes -Salem appeared in every single episode of this series -Hilda and Zelda are both voiced by Melissa Joan Hart, who played Sabrina in Sabrina: The Teenage Witch -Uncle Quiggley was created for this series, and only appears again in the spin-off Sabrina's Secret Life, but never is even mentioned in Sabrina The Teenage Witch DVD Release There is currently a DVD release in North America and Europe. Each DVD comes with 4 episodes and introductions by Melissa Joan Hart. The titles include: - A Witchmas Carol, that comes with the title episode, along with "Board & Sorcery", "Has Anybody Seen My Quigley", and "The Grandparent Trap". - Witch In Training, that comes with "Shrink To Fit", "Strange New World", "The Importance Of Being Norma", and "Anywhere But Here". - Bat Attack!, that comes with "Nothin' Says Lovin' Like Somethin' From a Coven", "Witchery Science Theater", "The Bat Pack", and "Field Of Screams" - Sabrina's World, that comes with "You Said A Mouse-ful", "Tale Of Two Kitties", "Key To My Heart", and "What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted?" There is also a release by General Mills with the episodes "Witch Switch" and "What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted?" These are no longer commercially available.moreless

The one force that stands in his way is the power of the Dreamstone, which can repel bad dreams, and so he makes plans to steal it from the Dreammaker and destroy it.

With the aid of his squad of bungling Urpneys (commanded by Sergent Blob), Zordrack tries time and time again to aqquire the Dreamstone, but fails each time due to the courage and resolve of Rufus, Amberly, and the rest of the Noops, who will never let the dreams die!

    Dreamstone Lyrics (by Martin Gates)

I used to dream myself to somewhere else each night,

I dreamed in colour, 'cause I lived in black and white,

Until I chanced upon this road that led to you,

I could not see, how anything could be...

    (Main Chorus)

Better than a dream, stranger than my wild imagination,

If this is a real sensation

    It's better than a dream.

Higher than the moon, hazy like a beautiful illusion,

    Crazy and in confusion

    And better than a dream.

    (2nd lyrics)

I used to wish I was beyond some distant door,

I knew there must be more to life and now I'm sure,

No dream of pirate caves or indian braves,

Or magic carpets could ever be this good.moreless

Felix the Cat follows the offbeat adventures of that curious feline, Felix. The first episodes where shown in black & white silent cartoons before it's relaunch in the 1960s. Throughout the 1920s, Felix was arguably the most popular of all silent-era cartoon characters. His image was mass-merchandised and used to sell dolls, baby oil, and many other products. He even had his own brand of cigars. Not only that, but he was also the first thing to be broadcasted on television. Sadly, he has be all but forgotten about by most.moreless

The shows plot centers around Sherlock Holmes, along with the help of Doctor Watson, figuring out and stopping the evil schemes of Professor Moriarty and his henchmen Todd and Smiley. Miyazaki wrote the scripts for all 26 episodes, but he actually only directed 6 of them. The easiest way to tell these episode apart is to look at Professor Moriarty's henchman, Smiley; in a Miyazaki directed episode, he has green fur. Two of these episodes were theatrically released along with Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind in 1984. ("Blue Ruby" and "Treasure Under the Sea".)
