Character Bios & Super Powers: Robin was formerly the sidekick of the legendary vigilante, Batman, Robin has moved beyond sidekick status to become the Gung-Ho leader of the Teen Titans. With no powers of his own, Robin relies on nothing but his wits and brains to solve problems. After years of training with his former partner, Robin has become fearless and determined, giving it everything he has and fighting to the death. He also has a full loaded utility belt, which includes a Bo-Staff, Birdarangs, Smoke Pellets, Freeze Disks, Explosive Bombs, Electro Disks, and a Grappling Hook. Robin has grown to be a very talented fighter when battling enemies by using his Speed, Martial Arts Skills, Intellect, and reflexes. Robin's primary goal is to find out what this criminal mastermind "Slade" is up to. He even disguised himself as a master thief, Red X, to try and trick Slade into revealing his plans, but unfortunatley Robin's plan backfired, and Slade knew the whole time that Robin was X. Robin's determination to catch Slade even caused him to be caught by Slade and was forced to be his Apprentice in order to save his friends lives. Ever since Slade's 'apparent' death, Robin has been haunted with one question: Is Slade still alive? Super Powers: He has no powers, but he is a very highly trained Martial Artist, has outstanding speed, Awesome reflexes, an intellegent mind, and a full loaded utility belt including Birdarangs, a Grappling Hook, a Bo-Staff, Freeze Disks, Explosive Bombs, and Smoke Pellets. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Starfire is the peacekeeping one, she hates to see the others fighting. She often appears weird to the others with her alien customs and lack of knowledge about Earth. She also has a crush on Robin even though she doesn't show it much. Super Powers: Flight, great strength, star-bolts (energy blasts from her hands), eye lasers (from the episode "Transformation" and onwards). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Beast Boy is the joker of the team, he enjoys playing pranks and doing things just for a laugh, he ends up as the target of many pranks himself as well (mostly by Cyborg). Unable to take anything seriously, he makes jokes and one-liners even when fighting Supervillians, Beastboy seems to have an interest in the character Terra, who joins the team for a short while. Super Powers: Can change into any animal. However it is unclear exactly where the limit of his power is because he doesn't seem able to transform into any made-up animals or any alien creatures (except in "Betrothed"), but he can become a dinosaur or other extinct animal. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Raven is the mysterious one, she reveals little about herself and doesn't let anyone into her room. Raven has to remain calm in any situation as her powers are driven by her emotions (a bit like Starfire's). We discovered in "Birthmark" that Raven has been destined to end the world since she born. Super Powers: Telekinesis (this includes moving herself to levitate), she can create solid shapes (hands, shields etc...), out of dark energy she can also pass through walls (although she has only done this 3 times), telepathy (see "Haunted"), teleportation (as seen in "Deception"), she can also unleash her soul-self (as she did in "Nevermore" and "Aftershock (1)"), she can stop time (as shown in "Birthmark"), and can send people to alternate dimensions, like she threatened to do to Beast Boy in "Every Dog Has His Day." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Cyborg is a talented engineer with a passion for vehicles, he built the Titans' car and the submarine and is very protective of both of them. Except when it comes to the car, Cyborg is pretty laid back, he plays a lot of video games. Super Powers: Great strength, Enhanced Vision, can turn right arm into a sonic cannon, a chain saw, or a hand grapple, has various built in gadgets including a foot laser, a flashlight, a detachable fore arm, and a welding torch. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Terra was the strange new comer. She didn't step in till the second season, episode "Terra." At first, she was welcomed with open arms and gladly stood beside the Titans fighting Slade. But sadly, she turned the Titans over to Slade and revealed she had been working for him since she left Titan's Tower in "Terra." But she redeemed herself by turning on Slade at a peak moment and presumably killed him at the cost of her own life. Super Powers: Terra has the ability of telekinesis. She can move anything made from the earth. She usually gets transported by a moving stone. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Slade is a criminal mastermind whom is very determined to take over the city and destroy the Teen Titans. Patient, cunning, slick, and doing whatever it takes to get what he wants, Slade is easily the toughest foe the Titans have ever faced. Slade often hires other villains to do his dirty work. His first plan was revealed when he launched a "Chronotan Detonator" - a device that can freeze time while we know it. Robin went out to catch him, while the others went for the detonator - but the detonator was a fake to shoot probes into the other Titans. Slade forced Robin to commit crimes as his apprentice or he will activate the probes and destroy the Titans. Luckily, the Titans found out about Slade's plans and defeated him. He later returned and captured the Titans newest "friend" Terra. He tought her how to control her powers and sent her to spy on the Titans and give him everything he'd ever need to know about them - codes, weaknesses, strengths, everything. In his last battle with them, Terra turned back on him and threw him into a pit of lava. He was presumed dead by the Titans, but Robin couldn't help wonder if he was really dead or not considering that his body was never found. Robin got his answer after Cinderblock busted out of jail and he was hurled into a vast forest: Slade was standing right in front of him. And when the other Titans said that they couldn't see him and that he wasn't really there, Robin decided that he was the only one who could stop him. Slade had almost killed Robin, but luckily Robin found out that he wasn't really there and was only in his mind and stopped his nemesis once and for all. The Titans learn that before his last act of cruelity, Slade pulled off one last trick -- the dust in his mask made Robin able to see, hear, and feel him even though he wasn't really there. But the dust didn't trigger on it's own -- someone activated it... but who? A while later, on Raven's birthday, Slade mysteriously arose from the ashes of the volcano Terra made and found out the secret of Raven's birthday -- Trigon. Trigon gave him ultimate powers and he headed out to show Raven the Prophecy that was to come of her destroying the world and Trigon being released into the real world. Raven may have stopped him, but he vows to Trigon that he will fulfill that Prophecy at all costs. Super Powers: Expert martial artist; genius I.Q.; skilled in engineering, robotics, biology, and invention; possibly has moderate skills in sorcery (as shown in "Forces of Nature") uses various weapons, most notably cybernetic strength-enhancing body armor. In "Birthmark," he gained the abilities to manipulate fire, fly, melt through objects, and create fire walls. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Trigon is a giant evil red demon who was banished from the real world, though he has the power to send his voice and energy into the real world. On Raven's birthday, he gave Slade his mystical powers and sent him to show Raven a glance at the horrible Prophecy that was foretold on her birthday by revealing the birthmarks on her that are only visible on her birthday. The Prophecy was of her destroying the world and summoning Trigon back into the real world. Slade vows to Trigon that he will fulfill that prophecy at all costs. Super Powers: Heat Eyes, Manipulate Fire, Superstrength, others not known as of yet. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Brother Blood is the new ruler of the H.I.V.E., who didn't debut until Season 3. After Slade's 'apparent' death in "Aftershock (2)," Brother Blood became the new ruler of the H.I.V.E. acedemy. Brother Blood was able to hypnotize people into helping the H.I.V.E. to dirty work. When Brother Blood found out that his student 'Stone' was Cyborg and was trying to spy on his plans, he was able to talk Cyborg into helping. Cyborg tricked Blood and backfired on him, but this surely wasn't the end of him He later made another H.I.V.E. fortress underwater, and what Cyborg didn't know was that when he was at his school, Brother Blood downloaded his blueprints that gave him acess to anything he'd ever need to know about Cyborg, and was also able to create a doomsday device that could flood the whole city. The Titans were able to defeat him again, but he got away again. Brother Blood later arrived in Steel City, where he hypnotized the new Titans East members -- Aqualad, Speedy, Bumblebee, and Mas Y Menos and made them create a new Titans Tower there and lure Cyborg into it. When Cyborg had fallen for the hypnotized Titans East's trap, Blood had the perfect time to strike and put his master plan to work -- making himself a cyborg as well. This new cyborg form would give him equal powers to Cyborg and was able to take Cyborg down easily and was eagerly ripping through his mechanical body trying to find what made him resist his mind control, but good triumphed over evil and Cyborg was able to defeat Blood once and for all. He now serves time in prison. Super Powers: Expert fighter, high I.Q, and many mental powers including mind control. Blood also seems to be able to create small force fields with his hands and has the ability to walk on water ("Titans East (1)"). After Blood converted himself to cyborg, he gained super strength, energy blasts, and the ability to teleport over short distances. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Red X is a mysterious Super Thief with tons of special abilities, who jumped into town, robbing strange micro-chips. Red X turned out to be Robin, and his real plan was to trick Slade into revealing his plans to him, so he could stop him once and for all. After failing to capture Slade, Robin sealed the Red X suit into a vault. Later, a strange man nabbed it from the vault and gained control of the Red X powers, and began robbing banks, etc. Robin planned to nab X and take care of the problem that he started. Unfortuanatley, X got away, but Robin was able to steal X's belt so he could do no harm. Super Powers: Martial arts, stealth, X-Blasts. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ The Brotherhood of Evil are the main villains in the fifth season. The core members are Brain, Monsieur Mallah, Madame Rouge, and General Immortus. Their plan is to take over the world. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Kid Flash - A bolt of lightning endowed young Wally West with super-speed, enabling him to become Kid Flash, protégé to the Flash. When the Flash was slain during a great crisis, Wally became the Flash in honor of his fallen mentor. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Red Star - Leonid Kovar's exposure to a meteorite gave him powers - enabling him to become Russia's first young hero as Starfire. Leonid later joined the team as Red Star and developed fiery new abilities. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Mal Duncan/Herald - Streetwise Mal Duncan was invited to join the Titans by Loren Jupiter. Mal later adopted the identity of the Herald when his girlfriend, Karen Beecher, helped fashion a dimension-opening Gabriel's Horn for him. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Gnarrk - A gentle Caveman out of his own time, Gnarrk bonded with the Titan Lilith Clay before his tragic death. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Jericho - As son of Slade Wilson, Joe Wilson was born with the mutant ability to possess people once he made eye contact. The gentle mute hero known as Jericho joined the Titans despite his familial ties. Long believed slain during an encounter with the Wildebeest Society, Jericho's damaged spirit has managed to return from certain death. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Kole - The gentle crystal spinner Kole Weathers gained powers as a by-product of her father's bizarre experiments. Kole was rescued by the Titans and grew close to Jericho before her untimely demise in the Crisis on Infinite Earths. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Pantha - A product of the Wildebeest Society's macabre experiments, Pantha long sought the truths behind her origins. Pantha's razor sharp personality was softened when Baby Wildebeest bonded with ferocious feline as his 'mama' - much to her chagrin. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Killowat - Originally a soldier for Lord Chaos, Charlie Watkins realized the error of his ways during an accident with a bank of energy converters. Crackling with electricity, Charlie joined the Teen Titans as Killowat! Killowat was erased from time during the Zero Hour time crisis. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Argent - Silver-skinned Toni Monetti learned she had the ability to control bursts of silver plasma energy. Joining the Teen Titans as Argent, Toni evolved from spoiled rich girl to capable heroine. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~ Bushido - The Japanese teenager became the proud Bushido warrior upon his mother's death - fulfilling a long family line of honorable heroes Awards & Nominations: 2005 Annie Awards - Outstanding Storyboarding in an Animated Television Production (Nominated) 2004 Annie Awards - Outstanding Music in an Animated Television Production (Nominated) - Outstanding Storyboarding in an Animated Television Production (Nominated) 2004 Motion Picture Sound Editors Awards: - Best Sound Editing in Television Animation (Won!) Hank is often besieged by the idiosyncrasies of society and often has to be the "hero". He has a wife Peggy who starts off as a Substitute Spanish Teacher, but picks up other jobs along the way, a son Bobby, who seems to be the polar opposite of Hank, and a live-in (for the first few seasons) niece-in-law Luanne Platter, who at times can be an airhead. Hank spends a great deal of time in front of his fence drinking beer with his odd friends, divorcee military barber Bill Dauterive, paranoid Dale Gribble (with an obsession with Government conspiracy theories) and gibberish spouting Boomhauer.

    ABC (ended 2001)
The Flintstones was a parody on modern suburban life, set in the Stone Age. The characters in the cartoon series all behaved and spoke in a contemporary manner, though they lived in the prehistoric city of Bedrock. Fred worked as operator of a dinosaur-powered crane at Rock Hard & Quarry Cave Construction Co. (slogan: "Own Your Own Cave and Be Secure"). Around their split-level cave the Flintstones enjoyed such conveniences as Wilma's Stoneway piano, a hi-fi on which Fred could play his "rock" music (it consisted of a turntable and a bird with a long beak to serve as a needle), a vacuum cleaner (a baby elephant with a long trunk), and an automatic garbage disposal unit (a famished buzzard stashed under the sink). Their car, which sported tail fins, also came equipped with steamroller wheels--to smooth out the rocky road. Then one day in 1963 they were blessed with a baby daughter, whom they named Pebbles. Not to be outdone, their neighbors the Rubbles adopted an orphan boy named Bamm Bamm. (The two kids later had a Saturday morning cartoon series of their own, Pebbles and Bamm Bamm.) The Flintstones was always as much adult satire as children's fun. In many respects it resembled Jackie Gleason's popular Honeymooners, especially in the relationships of the principals. A wide range of caricatures passed through the stories: Lollobrickida, a pretty cook; Ann-Margrock, whose voice was supplied by Ann-Margret; attorney Perry Masonry (he never lost a case); Ed Sullystone, a TV host; Eppy Brianstone, a teenage impresario; and Weirdly and Creepella Gruesome, the strange couple who with their son Goblin moved into a cave nearby (this was a parody on The Addams Family and The Munsters, then popular). The Gruesomes thought that they were normal, and everyone else in Bedrock was odd. The Flintstones and its spin-offs had a highly successful run on Saturday mornings--on NBC from January 1967-September 1970, on CBS from September 1972-January 1974, back on NBC from February 1979-September 1984, and on ABC with The Flintstone Kids from September 1986-September 1989. This series has also many movies and specials (about 10 specials). Some of them are:"A Flintstones Christmas Carol", a flintstones version of the famous Charles Dickens book, "A Flintstones Christmas" where Fred replaces Santa Claus (Pebbles and Bamm Bamm are speaking now), "I Yabba Dabba Do" where Pebbles and Bamm Bamm are grown up and get married, and "Holly-Rock-a-bye Baby" where Pebbles gives birth.moreless

Arthur Read, the spectacular bespectacled aardvark stars in this children's series about growing up. Typical childhood problems such as bratty siblings, schoolyard bullies and classroom cliques are addressed by this popular program. Arthur's eighteenth season has come to a close. However, watch for repeats again soon on your local PBS station. And keep watching for more details on upcoming episodes of the program. Currently, Arthur is the second longest-running North American animated series (behind The Simpsons), now with seventeen seasons and counting. Developed from Marc Brown's beloved books, Arthur reminds us all of how it feels to be 8 years old. Just like your average kid, Arthur overcomes the dreaded obstacles of third-grade life, such as his tough teacher Mr. Ratburn, bullies, and mountains of homework. At home, Arthur must face the pint- terror also known as his sister Dora Winifred, or D.W. for short. Everything between these two is a struggle; who gets control of the television remote, who can play their Crazy Bus CD, whose hobbies are dumber, that's a baby show...Will Arthur ever win one of these pointless arguments? Probably never, because not only is D.W. fiercely independent, she's also very smart. But despite it all, Arthur and D.W. are still brother and sister, and when they're not arguing, they can accomplish great things together.

Keeping Arthur sane are his helpful friends --- an assortment of colorful animal cohorts who always provide sound advice and a few laughs too. They are: Francine Frensky (a tomboy who would rather play sports than go to the mall), Buster Baxter (an enthusiastic gourmand), Alan "The Brain" Powers (a bona-fide 3rd grade genius, who even writes computer programs in his spare time), Muffy Crosswire (the rich girl with a real heart of gold), and Sue Ellen Armstrong (a traveler of the world and geography expert). Arthur can also sometimes be seen with Fern Walters (a soft-spoken musician with semi-hidden goth interests), Binky Barnes (acts like a bully, but enjoys pastimes such as ballet and clarinet), George Nordgren/Lundgren (a somewhat shy moose who be truly entertaining when he tries), Prunella (who supposedly has psychic powers and is actually in the fourth grade) and Jenna Morgan (a rarely seen cat-girl.) Theme Song

Every day when you're walkin' down the street,
Everybody that you meet, Has an original point of view...
    - Chorus: And I say "Hey!" (Hey!) What a wonderful kind of day! (Day!)
If we can learn to work and play,(Play!) And get along with each other... -
You've got to listen to your heart, Listen to the beat, Listen to the rhythm, the rhythm on the street,
Open up your eyes, Open up your ears, Get together and make things better, By working together
It's a simple message, and it comes from the heart, Believe in (believe in yourself...) 'Cuz that's the Place to START!
    - And I say "Hey!" (Hey!) What a wonderful kind of day! (Day!)
If we can learn to work and play (PLAY!), And get along with each other (Hey!)
What a wonderful kind of day Hey! What a wonderful kind of day...

    Danny Phantom

    Follow
    Nickelodeon (ended 2007)
From Butch Hartman, the creator of the hit Nicktoon, The Fairly OddParents, unveils the funny, fantastic action-packed adventures of Danny Fenton, who straddles two worlds as a shy freshman at Casper High and a heroic phantom-fighter with ghostly superpowers. With his best friends, techno-geek Tucker and free-thinking Goth girl Sam, he thwarts the misdeeds of menacing ghosts; and stumbles through daily social hurdles. - Danny Phantom Press Kit. "It's a great comedy/action show that I think you and all the other Nickelodeon animation fans are really going to love. And it's a bit different than anything Nickelodeon has done before. They're 22-minute stories, which is a different storytelling format for us." - Butch Hartman Not seeing is believing.. Character Guide: Danny Fenton/Phantom - On the outside, Danny's a nervous, clumsy 14 year old boy who just tries to fit in with the crowd. But underneath that exterior, Danny's a super hero! After an accident in his parents' lab, Danny was given some ghostly powers. Half ghost, Danny can see, hear, and talk to other paranormal beings - not to mention battle them on a regular basis to save his friends, family and, you know, the rest of the planet. Too bad he's still afraid of them! Jazz Fenton - Danny may have the super powers in his family, but Jazz has the looks, the brains, and the social skills. Being the older sister and all, Jazz keeps Danny's big secret. Not only because she's Danny's older sister, but because she has to mountain a perfect image in front of her friends and school-mates. Jack Fenton (Dad) - If Danny seems a little strange sometimes, it's probably from the genetics of the bizzare behavior of his Dad, Jack. Geared up in his bright-red "test pilot suit," Jack is always trying to prove the existence of ghosts. He always jumps into action before thinking and usually makes a bad situation worse. For Danny, fighting ghosts and surviving high school is a piece of cake compared to keeping Jack out of trouble. Maddie Fenton (Mom) - Maddie is absolutely brilliant. Need to know why walls suddenly bleed, why possessed statues are reciting Shakespeare, or how to get rid of that ghost that's been following you for days? Maddie's got the answer. But all that time spent with out-of-this-world weirdness (including Mr. Fenton) has kind of had an affect on Maddie. Let's just say you'd most likely find her building a high-tech ghost gadget than baking cookies. Tucker Foley - If talking was a superpower, Tucker would be the king of superheroes. No matter how many ghosts are chasing him, Tucker just keeps on chatting, and it gets him and Danny into loads of trouble. Danny still likes him as a friend, although it would be nice if Tucker kept his mouth shut and let Danny handle the paranormal activity. Samantha "Sam" Manson - Sam and Danny ARE NOT A COUPLE! They're just really, really good friends who share an almost psychic connection. Get it? Well, Samantha doesn't care if you don't believe her, anyway. Sam is a Goth girl and Ultra-Recyclo Vegetarian with an attitude and she could care less about what others think of her. Luckily for Danny, Sam is into the paranormal and is super smart, she's usually a big help to Danny getting him out of tight ghost-jams. Mr. Lancer - The Vice Principal and English teacher at Danny's school, Mr. Lancer is all about following the rules. He has no clue about Danny's phantom status, but it wouldn't matter anyway. Mr. Lancer just can't handle any kid (phantom or not) breaking the rules. Which means Danny has to find a creative ways to battle ghosts on school days if he wants to save Casper High and actually graduate. Dash Baxter - He may be a ninth-grader like Danny, but Dash is the big man on campus at Casper High. Guys want to be him and girls want to date him. And this football hero likes nothing more than harassing Danny. But the tables have turned now that Danny has ghost powers. Danny sometimes can't resist making Dash look like a fool. Which, considering Dash's brain compared to the rest of his body, isn't that hard to do. Theme Song: He's a phantom, Danny Phantom, Danny Phantom, Phantom... Young Danny Fenton, he was just 14, When his parents built a very strange machine, It was designed to view a world unseen, He's gonna catch em all 'cause he's Danny Phantom. When it didn't quite work his folks, they just quit, But then Danny took a look inside of it, There was a great big flash, everything just changed, His molecules got all rearranged. Phantom, Phantom... When he first woke up, he realized, He had snowy white hair, and glowy green eyes, He could walk through walls, disappear, and fly, He was much more unique than the other guy, And it was then that he knew what he had to do, He had to stop all the ghosts that were comin' through, He's here to fight for me and you! He's gonna catch 'em all 'cause he's Danny Phantom, Gonna catch 'em all 'cause he's Danny Phantom, Gonna catch 'em all 'cause he's... Danny Phantom. Fenton Inventions:Fenton Ghost Portal - A device which looks very similar to a wormhole door, however, it allows ghosts to come through it to enter the Real World and people to enter the Ghost Zone. It has a barrier across it, which spontaneously opens and closes. When Danny was inside it, his hand accidentally pressed against the "on" button, which activated the portal. This caused the ectoplasmic energy inside the portal to fuse with Danny's genes to make him half ghost, complete with ghost powers. • Fenton Thermos - normal thermos that captures ghosts and contains them in there until somebody releases them. After a ghost is captured, it is put in a slot next to a ghost portal, so the ghost will be transferred to the Ghost Zone. To Jack's knowledge, it doesn't work; but Danny managed to fuse his ectoplasmic energy with it to activate it, making it accessible to both ghosts and humans. • Fenton Xtractor - A vacuum that can harm ghosts and suck a ghost out of a human's body. • Fenton Finder - A mechanical device that uses satellites to track down ghosts. It later comes with a screen which displays the ghost located. • Fenton Grappler - A net that traps ghosts. • Fenton Ghost Fisher - A high-tech retractable fishing rod with a specialized ectoplasmo resin line unbreakable and inescapable to ghosts. • Fenton Urinal - A regular toilet with the word "Fenton" in front of it. • Ghost Gabber - A mechanical device that translates ghost language into human language, although it seems to add the phrase 'fear me' after every translation. • Fenton Ghost Weasel - A device which sucks up ambient ghost energy, and on reverse shoots it back out. It is also capable of cramming a ghost into its small cubic container. • Fenton Unlodger - A device used to unlodge the other inventions. • Ghost Gloves - Gloves that are so powerful that nothing can break their grip, allowing the wearer to handle ghosts/ghost-powered beings. • Fenton Ghost Catcher - Sort of like an "Indian Dream Catcher," but it captures ghosts and not dreams. After going through it, a ghost is unleashed. • Fenton Family Ghost Assault Vehicle - Also known as the "Fenton RV." It is a van that is monitored by the Fenton On-Board Computer, plus it contains many devices in it that can be used to harm ghosts, including a freeze ray, an ectoplasmic energy beam, lightning, ectoplasmic goo, an anti-ghost shield, etc. • Specter Speeder - A hovercraft-like vehicle that has state of the art spirit plane technology including an earthly item scanner and a super- cup holder. It can be used in both the Ghost Zone and Earth. It phases through anything in the Ghost Zone and is also capable of cramming many ghosts inside it. • Fenton Ghost Peeler - A device which to encase its user in body armor and then fires ectoplasmic rays at ghosts to peel them apart atom by atom. It can also rip through a human's clothes. • Fenton Stockades - An iron maiden with the word "Fenton" in front of it. • Fenton Phones - Little speakerphones that to put in the ears, which primarily serves as a ghost noise filter (to prevent the user from falling under the influence of "ghost noise," such as Ember's music) and walkie talkie "accessories." However, they also work as wireless earphones. • Fenton Helmet - A mind-controlled helmet that can be used as a game controller for a computer game. • Fenton Foamer - Ejects green ectoplasmic goo which clears an area that has ghosts. • Fenton Genetic Lock - It closes the Fenton Portal until a Fenton puts their thumb on the pad, which opens it. • Fenton Anti-Creep Stick - A regular baseball bat with the word 'Fenton' on it. • Fenton Bazooka - A type of gun that shoots a green substance into the air, which creates a mini portal into the Ghost Zone, however its ammo is limited. • Anti-Ghost Shield - A shield that is nearly impenetrable to ghosts and ghost-possessed humans> However, some versions allow ghosts already inside the shield to get out of it. Some versions also shock half-ghosts who try to go ghost inside it. The Fenton RV has a mini ghost shield, but lasts for only fifteen minutes. • Fenton Specter Deflector - A belt that repels and weakens any ghost that comes in direct contact of the person wearing it. • Jack-A-Nine-Tails - A nine-tail whip, like a cat o' nine tails. • Fenton Machete - A regular jungle sword. • Emergency Op-Center - The metal contraption that is located on top of FentonWorks. It can be controlled using the secret control panel. It also contains many things along with a ghost shield generator, a siren, a weathervane, and a "Go Fenton" logo with Jack's face on it. • Fenton Pants - Part of the Ecto-Skeleton, which gives the user the ability to run at super fast speed and the ability to kick with enhanced strength. • Ecto-Skeleton - A battle suit that is capable of increasing a person's natural abilities 100-fold in order to defeat any ghost, no matter how powerful. Although the glitchy interface could kill the user. • Ecto-Exitus Alarm - An alarm that goes off when a town is about to face a massive ghost invasion. • Fenton Wipe - Toilet paper with Jack's face imprinted onto every square. • Booo-Merang - A boomerang that tracks a ghost's specific ecto-signature and seeks it out wherever it goes. • Fenton On-Board Computer - A computer that monitors the Fenton RV. • Fenton Ejector - A seat ejector inside the Fenton RV that ejects the driver and the passengers. • Fenton Ointment - An ointment that treats skin itchiness. Jack calls it "Fointment." • Fenton Earplugs - Normal earplugs with the word "Fenton" in front of them. • Fenton Towel - A normal towel with the word "Fenton" in front of it.moreless

Each alien hero has its own unique and awesome powers. Although Ben now has the added responsibility to protect others and fight evil forces, he still manages to find time for some mischief and fun!

    Character Bios

Heat Blast - Comes from an alien race that lives on the sun rather than a planet. He can project bolts of fire from his hands and mouth, and create fireballs that he can either throw or roll. He also has the ability to absorb flames and heat, meaning he can put out a fire just as quickly as he starts one.

    Powers/Strengths - Fireballs, absorption of heat/fire.

    Weaknesses - Excess water.

Debut Episode - "And Then There Were 10"

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~

Wildmutt - More animal than humanoid, he is a beastly alien with superhuman athletic abilities, and heightened senses of smell, hearing, and taste. He can also fire the quills on his back as projectiles with incredible accuracy. Even though he has no eyes, his lack of vision is supplemented by his hearing and smell, which works almost as well as actual vision (which appear as red figures against a green backdrop). Wildmutt cannot communicate verbally, but can growl, grunt, and make other similar noises.

Powers/Strengths - Sharp quills, athletic ability, heightened senses of smell, hearing, and taste.

Weaknesses - No sound or smell in surrounding areas.

Debut Episode - "And Then There Were 10"

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~

Diamond Head - He's a crystalline alien whose body is harder than diamond, making him invulnerable to most physical attacks and allowing him to cut and slash through almost anything. He can also use his body to refract light and beam based weapons.

Powers/Strengths - Razor-sharp diamond shards, can refract light/beam-based weapons, ability to morph certain parts of his body into extremely sharp tools/weapons.

    Weaknesses - Sonic-based attacks/weapons.

Debut Episode - "And Then There Were 10"

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~

XLR8 - As the name states (pronounced like "accelerate"), he's a lizard-like alien that has the power to manipulate friction in order to gain acceleration, allowing him to move at incredible speeds. He may be fast, but he is not very strong compared to the other alien forms.

Powers/Strengths - Super speed (300 mph), able to manipulate friction, ability to run on almost any surface.

    Weaknesses - Magnetic-based attacks/weapons.

Debut Episode - "And Then There Were 10"

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~

Grey Matter - At a mere five inches tall, he's part of an alien race bred to enter complex machines and repair them from the inside. Consequently, he can squeeze through extremely small spaces. He's extremely smart, which gives Ben a boost in intelligence when he's in this form.

Powers/Strengths - Enhanced intelligence, ability to squeeze through small spaces, slimy skin allowing him to climb virtually anything.

    Weaknesses - Strength-based opponents/enemies.

    Debut Episode - "Washington B.C."

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~

Four Arms - At 12-feet tall, he's an alien of extraordinary strength, and can jump high distances. Unfortunately, due to his body mass and his agility is declined and he is very clumsy.

Powers/Strengths - Super strength, armored skin, ability to create sonic waves when all four hands are clapped at once.

    Weaknesses - Extremely quick opponents/enemies.

    Debut Episode - "Washington B.C."

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~

Stinkfly - He's a winged, insectoid alien and expert flier, able to pull off amazing acrobatic moves in midair. He can also take care of himself in flight, using his pincers and tail as weapons, as well as shooting slime from his eye-stalks. Much like Earth insects, he also has a tough exoskeleton, but very thin wings.

Powers/Strengths - Acrobatic flight, six pincer legs, very sharp tail, slime-shooting eye-stalks.

Weaknesses - Poisonous gases and water.

    Debut Episode - "Washington B.C."

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~

Ripjaws - This aquatic alien form is an extraordinary swimmer since he can breathe underwater and change his legs into a long tail with fins. He's remarkably fast and agile in the water and can fight with his claws or unhinge his powerful jaws to deliver a devastating bite.

Powers/Strengths - Underwater breathing, agility; powerful jaws and sharp claws.

    Weaknesses - Dry land.

    Debut Episode - "The Krakken"

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~

Upgrade - A biomechanical alien with liquid metallic skin and a system of organic "circuits." He has the ability to merge with any technology and bring it to life with enhanced abilities.

Powers/Strengths - Positronic energy blasts, ability to merge with and upgrade technology.

Weaknesses - Corrosives (acids) and electromagnetic energy.

    Debut Episode - "Permanent Retirement"

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=~=~=~=~=~

Ghostfreak - A shadowy, phantom-like alien that has the ability to phase through solid objects, such as walls, and become invisible at will. Ghostfreak also exhibits limited telepathic and telekinetic abilities. He only has one eye, but can position it almost anywhere on his body by moving it along a track traced on his skin.

Powers/Strengths - Intangibility, invisibility, flight, telepathy, and telekinesis.

    Weaknesses - Direct light.

    Debut Episode - "Permanent Retirement"

    Tom and Jerry

    Tom and Jerry

    Follow
    CBS (ended 1980)
Tom and Jerry was originally the very first, and earliest of the Hanna-Barbera Cartoons. It went through many phases and took place from anywhere from inside a house, to anywhere in outer space. The show was of course, about a cat and a mouse, and several other characters. The two never really talked, even though they do sing, yell, gasp, laugh, count, or say "Aha!!"; and that several other characters spoke more often. They would later end up in several TV series, and also in a few movies, however many would say that they didn't like the way the movies turned out. All of the episodes were distributed by MGM. Here's more info about the show in general: Pilot Episodes: The Pilot Episode was called "Puss Gets The Boot" and was also the first one with Mammy in it. Tom looked very different and was called Jasper. It was produced by Harman-Ising Productions. Fred Quimby: Fred Quimby was the Producer of Tom & Jerry for many years. He is also the Producer of Tex Avery's Cartoons. Tom's fur would eventually become blue. CinemaScope: These cartoons had more people in them. There were narrators, and many conversations between the adults. Lewis Marshall became an Animation Director, and Hanna-Barbera were the Producers. Rembrandt: Only seeing the older Tom & Jerry cartoons, and not having enough information on the show, Ted Pierce, Gene Deich, and William L. Snyder and the rest of the crew had trouble in producing their episodes of Tom & Jerry. Sib Tower 12 Incorporated: One of the last producers of Tom & Jerry, this version has the famous opening with the yellow background and the red letters (except for the 5 letters O and J) where Tom hisses and Jerry waves. The producer was Chuck Jones, and the cartoons look ahead of their time. There were several new characters, including a yellow bulldog, and Tom's Girlfriend, The Shark, Jerry's Dog, and several robots where Tom was a security operator at a cheese mine. Other people that worked on the show were Les Goldman, Maurice Noble, Michael Maltese, Tom Ray, Earl Jonas, Lewis Marshall, Eugene Poddany, Bill Lava, Dean Elliott, Carl Brandt, Mel Blanc, June Foray, Abe Levitow, Ben Washam, Don Foster, and Walter Bien. They would later do several Dr. Seuss cartoons along with Depatie-Freeling Entertainment, the Cricket seties, Duck Dodgers, and many other Award Winning shows. Filmation: Many years later, Filmation attempted to produce Tom & Jerry. It was a TV show called The Tom & Jerry Comedy Show. It seemed to look like all the Tom & Jerry cartoons in the 1950s and 1960s. They also aired and produced some other MGM cartoons, like the ones that are directed by Tex Avery. The episodes of The Tom & Jerry Comedy Show are mentioned here. TV: The New Tom and Jerry Show and The Tom and Jerry Kids Show: HB's TV versions. Neither lasted long, but several people still remember Them. They weren't that violent either. They were about the characters trying to solve everyday problems. Tom & Jerry Kids had other charachers as kids that were also produced by Fred Quimby, Including Tex Avery's Cartoon Characters. Now: Tom & Jerry was recently produced by AOL Time Warner and Turner Home Entertainment. They aren't the best cartoons. Tom and Jerry is currently airing on Cartoon Network! Check your local listings! Every episode of Tom & Jerry can be seen on Cartoon Network and Boomerang for one hour, and also The Sib Tower 12 Inc Cartoons can be seen with The Chuck Jones Show.moreless

    The WB (ended 2002)
The tight-knit Oblong clan lives in Hill Valley, a toxic valley downstream from your typical industrial waste site, which has caused a variety of bizarre physical and emotional abnormalities. At the head of the dinner table is the loving, limbless, tirelessly upbeat patriarch Bob Oblong and his adoring, alcohol-and-tobacco-addicted, bald-but-beautifully-wigged wife Pickles, who frequents the Rusty Bucket bar, owned by transexual Anita Bidet (who was originally to be named Sofonda Cox!). The family includes their conjoined twin sons Biff and Chip, who share three legs and three buttocks, but can't seem to agree on anything; sweet, tattling, 4-year-old daughter Beth, sporting a cucumber-like growth sprouting from her head; and youngest son Milo, a one-haired optimist who has every childhood emotional disorder and behavioral problem ever diagnosed. Other members of the family include Bob's mother, Grammy, who's a vegetable; Milo's narcoleptic scottie dog, Scottie; and the chain-smoking family cat, Lucky. Milo used to go to a special school for "the pathologically high-spirited," but now enjoys his days at "normal" school with fellow valley outcasts including the zaftig, toad-like Helga Phugly; gothic and death-obsessed Creepy Susie; bulbous-bottomed Mikey Butts; and brainy, spitting, lower-jaw-lacking Peggy Weggy. Milo and the gang constantly clash with the Debbies, a giggling gaggle of wealthy, popular, seemingly cloned "hill" girls of the same first name. As far as the Debbies and their parents are concerned, anything that isn't perfect - like them - isn't worthy of their attention. "Normal" school is headed by Principal Davis. Other members of the school staff include Nurse Rench, who has a scary operating contraption in place of her right arm, and the homeroom teacher, Leland. Aside from hanging out in the clubhouse in the Oblongs'back yard, the kids often find themselves hanging out at the local store "A to Zed." Bob's disregarding boss at Globocide Industries is the aristocratic father, George Klimer. His wife, Pristine, is a Barbie-like, former Debbie, who used to be school friends with Pickles when both girls lived in the hills - before Pickles married Bob and joined the "grotesque" side. Their attractive daughter, Debbie, is leader of the Debbies; and their not-too-bright but popular son Jared, together with his best friend Blaine, is a well-coifed tormentor of the Clubhouse kids. Executive producer Bruce Helford ("The Drew Carey Show," "Norm[show]," "[show]Nikki") and writer/executive producer Jace Richdale ("The Simpsons") bring to animated life the strange world of underground cartoonist Angus Oblong. Created by Oblong and Richdale, this half-hour comedy series is executive produced by Helford, Richdale and Deborah Oppenheimer ("The Drew Carey Show," "Norm," "Nikki"), for Oblongs Productions, Inc. in associate with Mohawk Productions and Jobsite Productions, distributed by Warner Bros. Television. Mary V. Buck and Susan Edelman are the winners of The Casting Society of America's, award for "Best Casting for Animated Television Voiceover" for The Oblongs. The Oblongs is inspired by characters in the book "Creepy Susie and 13 Other Tragic Tales for Troubled Children" by Angus Oblong. Milo, Susie, Helga, the Debbies, and Milo's Narcoleptic Scottie all originated in this book, which is aimed at adults in the guise of a children's book. Special thanks to Angus Oblong, without whom (the show and) much of the information in this guide would not have been possible! Clifford the Big Red Dog is a fun show aimed towards younger audiences. Clifford, a 20 foot tall red dog, plays with his dog friends, Cleo and T-Bone, and has great adventures with them. Clifford's best friend, however, is Emily Elizabeth Howard, his owner. Emily has friends of her own and all the characters live peacefully on Birdwell Island. Each Clifford the Big Red Dog episode consists of two stories, linked by a "Speckle Story," a story read to Clifford by Emily Elizabeth about the adventures of a dog named Speckle. At the end of each episode is a "big idea" presented by Clifford, followed by a short promotional spot for one of the characters on Clifford. Please note that some online guides list two big ideas for each episode. The "big idea" listed in this guide will always be only the one that actually airs at the end of the episode itself. Also included is a short segment featuring a real kid with his/her dog. However, most, if not all, PBS stations no longer show this segment. These segments are available for viewing on Clifford DVDs. Production of Clifford The Big Red Dog officially ended when John Ritter returned to ABC primetime in the fall of 2002, as the star of 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. The final seven Clifford the Big Red Dog shows aired on PBS in February 2003, and the production of episodes was discontinued to make way for the spinoff show, described below. However, there are indications that some produced episodes haven't yet aired, so keep an eye out! Brach's recently announced a special mail-order video and there could be more coming. With John Ritter's unfortunate passing the following September, there are no plans for new production. Repeats continue on every weekday except Wednesday on most PBS stations. There is also a movie, "Clifford's Really Big Movie", which is now out on DVD and video. Clifford the Big Red Dog is so popular that it now has a spinoff! Two Hispanic children, Max and Emmy, move into a new home. Like any young children, they're not quite happy at first about moving. Then, Emmy finds a secret drawer and inside is box containing a magical, shimmering dragon scale. Hmmm... there's some words on the box. What do they say? "I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with dragons, in a land apart." The magical decorations fly around them, transporting them (and us) to Dragon Land.

Brought to you by Sesame Workshop (formerly Children's Television Workshop), the company that brings you Sesame Street it's Dragon Tales! Join Ord, Cassie, Zak & Wheezie, Quetzal, and their human friends, Max and Emmy in two daily adventures, each separated by a musical interstitial, "Dragon Tunes."

Dragon Tales has enjoyed two seasons and many years of success on PBSKids. The show's popularity has spawned book, video, DVD and CD releases and even a live stage show. Now, the show's popularity has prompted its return. The third season is now airing in repeats along with the first and second, featuring folk songs and a folk theme, as well as a new character named Enrique --- a pleasant looking fellow in an Arthureseque outfit who's moved in next door to Max and Emmy. As some new stories are being paired with past stories, keep an eye on this guide to find out what's new and what's not. The new Dragon Tales CD released on February 15, 2005, featuring 14 tracks, some previously available on CD, but some never-before-released ones as well, such as "Friends," "Hola," and "Speak Up."

After it's return in 2005, it's not yet known if any further new episodes will air. Please note that the show status is currently listed as On Hiatus / TBD, but that may change if it turns out the program will return.

Dragon Tales is going to be part of the new PBSKids "pre-school block." Watch for this special block of programming beginning this fall. It will feature two new PBSKids shows It's a Big Big World and Curious George along with this show and Clifford the Big Red Dog.

    Character Guide:

Emmy: Emmy is 6 years old and has an active spirit and sense of adventure. She's always ready to chip in her ideas, participate in fun games and sporting activities and help out all of her friends. However, her take-charge personality can sometimes rub the wrong way and she occasionally needs to take a step back when she becomes too close to the action. Her best dragon friend is Cassie and she usually rides with her.

Max: Max is Emmy's 4-year-old little brother. He's always happy to join her on an adventure to Dragon Land, but sometimes gets upset about being too small to do certain things. Although not as competitive or sporty as Emmy, he too delights in the fun adventures that Dragon Land has to offer. His best dragon friend is Ord and he usually rides with him. Ord: Orville Vladimir 'Ord' is a cute and, tall 7-year-old cerulean blue dragon with purple scales, blue eyes, and an aqua-green belly. He is also from the country of Russia. He also loves nothing more than to eat, particularly anything with dragonberries in it. He's also the largest of the gang. Though his tall height appears scary at first, he himself fears many things. One of his biggest fears is the dark, a problem he often wrestles with in the series. He is also Max's best friend.

    Birthday: June 26

Cassie: Cassandra Olivia 'Cassie' is a sweet and intelligent, but rather shy 4-year-old pastel pink dragon with yellow scales, blue eyes like Ord, and a yellow belly. She often has many great ideas and is good at many things, but sometimes lacks the confidence to speak her mind. She gets help from all of her friends, especially Emmy, and from her teacher Quetzal. Family is very important to Cassie, as she has 72 brothers and sisters and sometimes helps her parents to take care of her little sister Kiki and her little brother, Finn. She is also Emmy's best friend.

    Birthday: May 16

Zak: Zachary James 'Zak' is an 11-year-old emerald green dragon with blue scales not only a brother to his sister, Wheezie, he's also a very special partner. He has blue eyes like Ord and Cassie. Zak and Wheezie are a dynamic duo, a two-headed dragon who often work together, but can also think quite independently. Zak enjoys the status quo, but his wild sister Wheezie often helps him to find a good time. Desiring peace, Zak often finds himself at the receiving end of various indignities --- from food on the head to a fish blowing bubbles straight in his face.

    Birthday: July 21

Wheezie: Wilhelmina Marie 'Wheezie' is a high-strung 11-year-old wisteria purple dragon who has magenta scales and blue eyes like Ord, Cassie, and Zak, and loves singing, doing wild things and shouting and singing about the things she loves. Sister of and joined with Zak, she can't always understand his desire for her to calm down. Still, the two always find in the end that they wouldn't have it any other way.

    Birthday: July 21

Quetzal: Hailing from some sort of Dragon Land Mexico, apparently, Quetzal is a goldenrod yellow 53-year-old wise dragon teacher who instructs the kids and dragons at the School in the Sky. Unlike other dragon adults, he's only a bit larger than the kids, to keep him easily recognizable to the viewing audience. Quetzal has a magical book that contains reference on many things in Dragon Land. He's always a great source of advice, but tries as best as possible to only help the kids and dragons in solving their own problems.

    Birthday: September 27

Enrique: He's a new character coming to the third season of the program in February 2005. Enrique is 6 years old like Emmy and is raised by his Dad and Grandma and he's recently moved to the area where Max and Emmy live, all the way from Colombia. They meet and show him Dragon Land. At first, he's a bit scared, especially because he finds it hard to connect with people, having moved many times. But soon he's having great adventures in Dragon Land, just like Max and Emmy! Since Zak and Wheezie were left, he rides with them, and they're delighted at the opportunity to have someone to ride with them, since they usually flew only with each other in the past.

Dragon Tales airs weekdays on most PBS stations and also in some foreign markets.

    CBS (ended 1994)
Based on the highly popular comic strip by Jim Davis, Garfield and Friends was considered the best long-running cartoon on CBS. This Saturday morning series featured the adventures of that lovable, hungry fat cat Garfield, his yellow dog friend Odie, and their cartoonist bachelor master Jon Arbuckle. Garfield cartoons shared the spot with a new cartoon series created for this series called U.S. Acres (also based on a comic strip by Jim Davis). U.S. Acres was a cartoon about a group of barnyard animals who run a farm. The leader was Orson Pig, the bookish and perceptive pig. His friends had many different qualities: Wade Duck was the scaredy-cat duck who runs away from everything, no kidding; Booker was a crafty little chick whose main goal was to chase a worm, and his brother Sheldon was nothing more than an egg with two legs sticking out; Roy Rooster was the practical joking rooster who puts everyone in trouble with his jokes; and two sheep, Bo and Lanolin, were always bickering with each other about nearly everything. Bo being a nice guy and Lanolin a cruel girl. Each episode, they had to protect the farm from Orson's big bad brothers and a crafty weasel. Before this series, Garfield cartoons were shown as yearly specials on CBS, and the specials were so great that CBS decided to turn Garfield into a cartoon series. In the first season, each 30-minute episode was packed with three 8-minute shorts, two Garfield shorts and one U.S. Acres short. In the second season, Garfield and Friends expanded to an hour, consisting of four Garfield cartoons and two U.S. Acres cartoons. It remained at this format until the show ended in 1994. 'Garfield:The Movie' was released on June 11,2004 & so far has made over $75 million at the box office. Thanks to the success of the movie, 20th Century Fox is now working on a CGI/live action movie version of 'Alvin & The Chipmunks' & coming to theathers on December 25th is 'Fat Albert', which is of course a live action version of the classic 1974-1984 cartoon 'Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids'.
