    The WB (ended 2005)
Jackie Chan is now a cartoon character in his very own television series, battling to obtain the 12 magic talismans, each containing its very own power. He and his Uncle get a visit from Jackie's niece - Jade - and that's when Jackie finds out about Section 13 and the magic talismans which the Dark Hand are trying to retrieve to free the trapped Dragon, Shendu, from his prison of stone, so he will give them the lost treasure of Shen Che Hun. Jackie Chan defeated the Dark Hand almost every time, so Shendu had to use his own allies - The Shadowkhan - to help them destroy Jackie Chan. All the talismans that were found were placed in high security in Section 13. While Jackie continued to obtain each and every talisman, the Dark Hand also tried to figure out where Section 13 was located to steal the talismans and continue searching for the remaining stones. Soon, all of the talismans were collected and Shendu was freed from his stone form. Now, he was able to roam the Earth and destroy all of Asia, but Jackie Chan, with Uncle and Jade, stopped him and Jade destroyed him. In the second season, Shendu's spirit is told by his brothers and sisters that he should've released them when he was in the real world and they put a spell on him to possess a person to get the Pan Ku box and remain in that person's body until all of the 7 demon sorcerers are released (he wants to possess Jackie). If he fails, the torment on Shendu will begin. After taking over Valmont's body mistakenly, he must free the other demons to reign chaos on the planet. He then possessed the Pan Ku Box which can release his fellow demons at different rendezvous points and bring chaos upon the Earth and to destroy Jackie Chan. Jackie continues to search for the Pan Ku box and retrieve it before the Dark Hand actually sends a demon he cannot defeat with Uncle, Jade, and Tohru. After this is over, Jackie goes through many different adventures until towards the end of the season, we are introduced to a Dark Chi Wizard named Daolon Wong. At the end of the season, Daolon Wong takes a interest towards the Talismans, hoping to absorb their powers and make himself invincible. In the third season, just as Jackie is ready to retire from Section 13, Daolon Wong and the Dark Hand break into Section 13, trying to steal the talismans. But Jackie blows up the talismans, and Uncle imprisons Daolon Wong's original Dark Chi Warriors. So they must now save the talisman-powered animals from Daolon Wong and his newly Dark Chi warriorized servants: Finn, Ratso, and Chow with Hak Foo coming later. Even at the time, Daolon Wong resurrected Shendu to get the power of combustion. After Shendu was reverted back to a statue and Daolon Wong (who was stripped from most of his magic) and the enforcers (who have been returned to their true forms) have been arrested, the talismans popped out of Shendu during the defeat. In the fourth season, Jackie must stop Tarakudo the Shadowkhan King and the enforcers from collecting the 9 Omni masks (which used to be his generals) of power that will allow him to control the Shadowkhan. In the fifth season, Jackie must stop Drago from absorbing the chi of his aunts and uncles, the Demon Sorcerers, from the original items that were used by the 8 Immortals to banish them to the Demon Netherworld. Jackie Chan Adventures was nominated for three awards at the Emmy Awards for 2001 and 2002. The series was nominated for the 2001 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Special Class, received by Robert Duran (supervising sound editor), and Roshaun Hawley (dialogue editor/adr editor). Nominated for the 2002 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Special Class, received by the same crew members as last year, and for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing - Special Class. Fil Brown (re-recording mixer), Dan Cubert (re-recording mixer), Melissa Gentry-Ellis (re-recording mixer) accepted the award while Jackie Chan obtained the 2002 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program.moreless

    Nickelodeon (ended 2004)
Rocket Power premiered on Nickelodeon on August 16, 1999, and can now be seen weekdays at 4:30 A.M EST onNicktoons Network, and on Sunday mornings at 6:00 A.M. EST on Nickelodeon. The show is about four friends who are addicted to action and extreme sports. Otto Rocket, his sister Reggie, and their pals Twister and Sam excel at just about every aggressive sport you can imagine. Their hometown of Ocean Shores, CA is the ultimate place for a game of hockey, skating the half-pipe or rollerblading on the boardwalk. There are extreme sports for all seasons, however, so don't be surprised if you catch the kids heading up to the mountains for snowboarding, ice hockey, and all manner of arctic action. All that competition can get, well, pretty competitive sometimes. So it's a good thing folks like Otto and Reggie's dad Ray and his business partner Tito Makani are around to remind everyone that way cool friendships are more important than winning events. Main Characters Otto Rocket: Otto is the leader of the group. As they say in the episode "All About Sam", he's a total action guy. He can be selfish and overly-competitive at times, and even more unreliable, but he tries to be a good friend, and more often than not, he does a pretty good job at it. He's also "rad" on wheels, waves and powder, and he plays a mean game of hockey! Reggie Rocket: Reggie is Otto's older sister, by two years. She's awesome at sports, and at times, she can be as competitive as her younger brother. She can be a little bossy sometimes, but she really doesn't mean to be. She is mostly the one who keeps Otto down to earth when he gets a bit too self-centered, and there are times when she acts as his conscience. So there's a lot more to this action-loving girl athlete that what she can do with a skateboard, a surfboard, a hockey stick, and a laptop. Maurice "Twister" Rodriguez: Twister is Otto's best bro. He's totally rad with his video camera, which he uses to tape all the extreme stunts he, Otto, and Reggie do. He's a little bit slow on the uptake, but in a totally sweet (well, the girls on this site think that) and comical way. Samuel L. "Squid" Dullard: Sam is probably the least extreme of the group, but that doesn't make him any less awesome. He's Reggie's best bro. He helps her publish her Zine on his laptop. Sam is pretty much the brains of The Rocket Gang, but it's his fear of risks that helps to keep the gang from going too far. Ray "Raymundo" Rocket: Ray has done a lot of things in his long life. But if the kids get into some trouble, they get a big punishment! Other then that he's a really nice guy. Tito Makani: Tito is a native of the beautiful state of Hawaii. He is really nice guy. He gives the "little cuzzes" Ancient Hawaiian advice and help with surfing. Sometimes he can go a little overboard with what he's doing, but it all comes out ok. From March 26 to April 8, 2002 a contest and show called Maximum Rocket Power Live: The Battle For Madtown Park where teams would compete in extreme sports like the Rocket Gang did. It got cancelled due to low ticket sales. It was supposed to tour cities all over the Midwest. The Show ended after the TV Movie episode "The Big Day" on July 30, 2004.moreless

Postman Pat was based on a series of books by John Cunliffe, the program is about a rural postman who helps his friends in the village of Greendale, based supposedly in Cumbria, England. The first series of thirteen 15-minute episodes was produced by Woodland Animations and broadcast by the BBC in 1981. Ivor Wood, a vetaran of animations like The Magic Roundabout, was at the helm as producer. Ken Barrie sang the well known theme tune and provided the narration. The stories were very successful and have seen endless repeats over the years. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the show in 1991, the old production crew was reunited for two one-off 25 minute specials, again shown by the BBC. Two more came in 1995, and these were followed by a second full series of 13 adventures. Then, after almost 10 years of absence from our screens, Postman Pat returned in 2004 for his third series. This consisted of 25 new episodes and several specials. The model animation was a far cry from the simple look of the early 80's, with brighter sets, much smoother puppet movements and characters voices lip-synched. Ken Barrie is still the voice of our favorite postman, but he is also joined by a cast of other talented voice artists, like Carole Boyd. For the final season in 2008, the series was titled Postman Pat: Special Delivery Service. The show aired on BBC2 from 1981-2002, CBBC from 1986-2002 and at CBeebies from 2003-2008. Little Bill lives with his mother, Brenda, a photographer, Big Bill, a housing inspector for the city, his two older siblings, April and Bobby, and Brenda's grandmother, known as Alice The Great. Each episode usually consists of two stories showing Little Bill's home life or at school, illustrating the usual goings-on of a five year old's life. At the end of the show, Little Bill usually addresses the audience, recapping what happened to him and what he learned that day, prompting one of his other family members to ask, "Little Bill, who are you talking to?" Note: Little Bill is loosely based on the life of creator Bill Cosby, who was most likely referred to as Little Bill as a child since his name is William Henry Cosby, Jr. In real life, however, Dr. Cosby is the oldest of four brothers, not the youngest of three children. Congratulations to Little Bill, winner of 2 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program - Gregory Hines and Outstanding Children's Animated Program.moreless

    Nickelodeon (ended 2004)
In the year 1989, two married parents named Gabor Csupo and Arlene Klasky made the pilot for the show; their baby son, Brendon, was their inspiration to create the Rugrats. After showing it to Nickelodeon they automatically liked it and turned it into a series; in three years, Rugrats had aired more than fifty episodes. With a total of sixty five episodes they stopped making new episodes and Rugrats was shown in primetime in 1994; after that, the popularity of the show increased. Nickelodeon realized what good ratings they had and they decided to air brand new episodes of Rugrats in 1997; it was so popular that it had its first movie to be shown in theaters the following year featuring a new Rugrat named Dil. After the movie, they aired even more new episodes, including Dil with them on the show; then again in the year 2000, Nickelodeon made a second movie for the Rugrats, giving Chuckie a stepmom and featuring another new Rugrat named Kimi. More new episodes aired after that with Kimi and in the year 2001, Nick had big plans for the show. With Rugrats in their tenth year, so Arlene Klasky and Nickelodeon decided to make the Rugrats ten years older in their anniversary special, "All Growed Up;" this episode was the most viewed Rugrats-related episode. Originally, there were only four young rugrats who would sit in their playpen watching the world go by. The fearless leader of the group was Tommy Pickles, a resourceful baby who hides a plastic screwdriver in his diaper so that they can leave the pen. His best friend was Chuckie, a fearful, red-haired toddler who reluctantly agreed to venture out into the open, unsafe areas of the house. There were also the twins Phil and Lil who were always ready for any new challenge. Leaving the safety of their own playpen, the children would explore their surroundings and try to make sense out of what the adults are doing. Some of the most interesting characters were the parents and Tommy and Angelica's grandfather who would always fall asleep when taking care of the children. The parents' comments are so genuine that they bring a sense of reality to the show. Even the parents had different lives, with Chuckie's widowed father, and Angelica's loving father and busy mother. The series won 4 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program, Outstanding Animated Children's Program, Outstanding Animation and Outstanding Children's Animated Program.

From DreamWorks animation comes the first primetime CGI-animated series with a feature film quality look to it. Each episode costs $1.6 million and 9 months to make. This CGI-animated series is about a family of white lions who work as performers in the Las Vegas act of illusionists Siegfried & Roy. The show stars Larry, a hard-working white lion in the revue with his wife Kate, a white lioness. Sarmoti, another white lion who is Kate's father - and Larry's father-in-law - clashes with Larry on every subject imaginable. Rounding out the group is Snack, a mischievous gopher and Larry's best friend. It should be noted that the name Sarmoti is actually the acronym S.A.R.M.O.T.I., which stands for Siegfried and Roy: Masters of the Impossible. The show was in jeopardy when in October 2003, Roy Horn was mauled by one of his tigers during a stage show that left Horn in critical condition. Executives at NBC and DreamWorks didn't know whether or not to go on with the show, but as Roy showed signs of improvement, both Siegfried and Roy urged the show to move forward in production. When the show debuted in late August 2004, it got off to a good start with strong ratings. The ratings continued to show good promise for the show through early September 2004, until the ratings started to rapidly decline. The show faced more trouble when it was pulled from November 2004 sweeps, undoubtedly signaling the end was near. In early December 2004, Jeffrey Katzenberg, DreamWorks Animation CEO and show creator, announced that the show was cancelled. A few of the remaining episodes were burned off in late December 2004. It centers on an energetic Brazilian monkey named Lazlo who happens to be a Bean Scout and hangs with his two best pals: a wise and neurotic Indian elephant named Raj and Clam, your basic highly intelligent albino pygmy rhino. They're surrounded by Scoutmaster Algonquin C. Lumpus, a thin-skinned moose, and a Squirrel Scout camp full of girls across the lake. The adventures of once an ordered camp to a camp full of wacky events. Characters: Bean Scouts Lazlo is the main character of the show and he has a tough time with structure, rules and routines of the camp. Voiced by: Carlos Alazraqui. Squirrel Scouts Patsy Smiles is a chirpy mongoose that has a major crush on Lazlo. Even though she can be a bit annoying at times, she makes attempts to get to him. Other than that characteristic, she actually knows various fighting moves and hates a lot of girly stuff like dresses. Voiced by: Jodi Bensons. Nina Neckerly, one of Patsy's best friends, she's very much the smart one of her friends. More on the bookish side and maybe a nice Squirrel Scout among everyone. Voiced by: Jill Talley. Gretchen is an ever-hungry alligator that wants to eat anything, especially happy monkeys. She's the toughest one of the 3 main Squirrel Scouts and is always in a grouchy mood. Therefore, she is best to be avoided. Voiced by: Jill Talley. The Scoutsmistress of the Squirrel Scouts, Jane Doe is a perky deer that has to deal with the girls everyday. She is unaware of Lumpus' crush for her. Voiced by: Jodi Benson. Together these characters make one big laugh-fest!
