Ever wish you could live your last week all over again? Well, my name's Frank B. Parker, and I do it all the time. I work for a secret government project experimenting in time travel. When things really get screwed up, I'm the guinea pig they send back to take care of it. The catch is, I can only go back 7 days. 7 Days chronicles the adventures of Frank Parker, a "chrononaut" assigned to the U.S. government's "Operation Backstep." The operation revolves around the Sphere, created by Dr.'s Mentnor, Vukavitch, and Ballard from alien technology salvaged from Roswell. The alien power source allows a jump of only seven days, so when a crisis occurs the government assigns NSA agent Frank Parker to jump back in time up to 7 days to prevent it, creating a new timeline where only Frank remembers the old one. Frank is uniquely qualified for the job - he has a high tolerance for pain (required during piloting), a photographic memory, and has had some psychiatric problems that give him a very...flexible mindset when dealing with altered timelines. Assisting him on his missions are project head Bradley Talmadge, head of security Nathan Ramsey, and military advisor and back-up chrononaut Craig Donovan. In the third season Ballard retires and his replacement "Hooter" Owsley takes his place as scientific expert and recurring guest star.moreless

Welcome to the Inspector George Gently guide at TV.com. Chief Inspector George Gently of Scotland Yard is an old-fashioned policeman who has gained respect but few friends through his single-minded pursuit of law-breakers and his disgust with the corruption in the police force. Gently decides to retire after the murder of his wife, but not before solving one final case. Relocating to Northumberland, where he is aided by the ambitious young Det Sgt John Bacchus, Gently deploys a combination of reason, deduction and a somewhat jaded understanding of man's nature to get his man. Inspector George Gently is adapted from the Inspector Gently novels written by Alan Hunter, but relocates him from Norfolk to Northumberland. The 46 novels, published between 1955 and 1999, were contemporary, but the show is set firmly in the 1960s. The first season was broadcast under the George Gently banner. Something Wicked Has Washed Ashore... Something wicked this way comes to Point Pleasant, a usually quiet New Jersey beach town, when a sudden, violent storm washes in more than the tide. After local lifeguard JESSE PARKER (Sam Page) sees the beautiful CHRISTINA NICKSON (Elisabeth Harnois) floating in the ocean, he dives into the dangerous waters to save her life and bring her to safety. Little does Jesse know that his heroic rescue heralds the beginning of a battle between good and evil. Jesse brings Christina to the home of DR. BEN (Richard Burgi) and MEG KRAMER (Susan Walters), whose reclusive daughter JUDY (Aubrey Dollar) takes an instant liking to their new houseguest. The Kramers have seen their share of hardship – their youngest daughter passed away a couple of years ago – and Christina appears to bring light back into their house. For Christina, Point Pleasant offers both a respite from her protected boarding-school existence in New York, and the opportunity to search for her long-lost mother, a Point Pleasant native. Unbeknownst to Christina, her arrival in Point Pleasant has a profound effect on the small seaside community. Her presence awakens repressed feelings, unlocks suppressed desires and heightens emotions among the residents. Tensions flare between Jesse and best friend TERRY BURKE (Brent Weber), who secretly pines for Jesse’s possessive girlfriend, PAULA HARGROVE (Cameron Richardson). Paula’s hot-to-trot mother, AMBER (Dina Meyer), attempts to rekindle her relationship with the good Dr. Kramer, her childhood sweetheart. Even the strong love between Jesse’s parents, Police Captain LOGAN (Alex Carter) and church-going SARAH PARKER (Clare Carey), is tested, especially when the mysterious and charismatic LUCAS BOYD (Grant Show), a man with ties to Christina’s father, moves into town and begins to insinuate himself into Christina’s new life. As Christina and Jesse fight their budding attraction, Christina enlists Jesse’s help to search for answers to her family’s past, all the while trying to suppress the evil inside her – and the power that comes with it. While Christina never knew her mother, she will come to realize that she’s never known her “real” father, either. Christina is the offspring of a mortal woman and the Devil – and the battle for her soul has begun. Point Pleasant is a 20th Century Fox Television Production. Marti Noxon ("Angel,” “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”), Marty Adelstein, Dawn Parouse ("Tru Calling") and Neal Moritz serve as executive producers. Point Pleasant was canceled after eight airings, but the complete first season of thirteen episodes is now available on DVD.moreless
