Welcome to The Bill Uncovered guide at TV.com. This is a spin-off from the long running The Bill television show. As is the increasingly common practice in Britain (Coronation Street Family Album, Doctor Who Confidential), these are separate strands of clip shows designed to tie in with a successful series and to provide fodder for the growing digital network of channels. The Bill Uncovered showcases a particular character or crime type and is presented in character by one of the cast, in the form of a reminscence to camera.moreless

Broadway's best have been recognized every year in this awards event since April 4, 1947. First televised broadcast was in 1967. The Tony Awards typically features musical numbers from nominated musicals. Over the years, they have occasionally featured excerpts (live and/or filmed) from nominated plays, as well. Over the years, the telecast has been hosted by the likes of Angela Lansbury, Hugh Jackson and Rosie O'Donnell, who, at the height of her popularity, boosted the ratings considerably. Networks airing the program have varied and sometimes technical awards have been presented on a second PBS broadcast directly preceeding the main event. While honoring the best of Broadway, it is the single biggest promotional event for New York Theatre each year.moreless

The U.S. Presidential Inauguration has been broadcast on national television since the 2nd Inauguration of Harry S. Truman in 1949. The Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States took place on January 20th, 2009. The inauguration ceremony was telecast on FOX, ABC, NBC and all major television and news networks. It is believed to be one of the most watched events of all time by a global audience. Following the events of the 2008 Presidential campaign, the inauguration was particularly noteworthy for several reasons. Perhaps most notably, Mr. Obama was the first ever African American voted into office. Secondly, his election represented a political culture shift because he was the first man born after 1960 elected President. Fox political analysts and others believe he won the Presidency by breaking away from the status quo of Washington politics and demonstrating a fresh approach to the many problems facing the nation, including two wars and a downturn in the economy. Several events accompanied the inauguration, including a train ride recreating the route taken by Abraham Lincoln, concerts, parades, church services and ten post inaugural balls, many of which were available for the public to watch online.moreless

The Screen Actors Guild Awards is the only awards show created by and for actors. A randomly selected group of SAG members votes on each year's standout individual and ensemble performances with the final ballot being voted on by all 100,000 guild members, then convenes for one of TV's most genuine ceremonies. Actors from both television and film are honored, but no awards are handed out to the actual movies or shows. The Screen Actor's Guild award is considered to be an indicator of success at the Academy Awards. The bronze statuette which is known as the "Actor" depicts a naked man holding the masks of comedy and tragedy, it was originally sculpted by Edward Saenz and was designed by Jim Heimann and Jim Barrett.moreless
