College is all about reinvention. It's a time in a teen's life where they can leave behind all of the preconceived notions people had about them in high school and start fresh. Unless they're massively overweight. 'I Used To Be Fat' is a new documentary series profiling teenagers desperate to shed their unwanted pounds before heading off to school. We'll send a weight loss guru to work with each person and they'll go through rigorous fitness regimens and work with experts to learn how to change the habits that caused them to gain so much weight. Each one-hour episode will focus on a different student, following them from the last weeks of high school to the first crucial days of college, and giving viewers an inspirational and intimate account of their emotional and physical transformation, as they struggle to change their attitudes, eating habits, and ultimately their lives. But this summer is about more than just losing weight for these teens -- it's also about figuring out who they are and who they want to be. It's time for them to stop leaning on mom and dad and to learn to stand on their own two feet. It's a chance for them to realize that if they don't take charge of their lives now, they never will. Throughout each show, viewers will witness how each teen's life and view of the world starts to change as they start to lose weight, and they'll see them when they debut their new look -- and their new outlook -- on their first day of college. At the end of each episode, we'll catch up after a few months of college to see where they are now. Have they kept the weight off or gained it back? Is college life what they'd dreamed it would be? And what will their families and friends say when they see them again? Some will lose the weight. Others will fail. But either way, this will be the most important summer of their lives.moreless

American Inventor is a show about the biggest search ever for America's best new invention. The show sets out to uncover the hottest new product each season and make one struggling inventor's dream come true. With one million dollars at stake, American Inventor celebrates the best in homespun American ingenuity.

National casting calls were held in six major cities across the country. Thousands of inventors, tinkerers and entrepreneurs of all ages were drawn to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Houston, and Tampa for a shot at turning their dreams into realities. Inventors of all ages presented their most prized inventions, featuring everything from the wacky to the heart warming.

A panel of expert judges narrows down the initial entries to a group of finalists, who are given $50,000 each to develop their product, refine it and take it to the next level. This is a show that makes the American dream come true for one person -- taking his/her idea, vision and creativity and helping to turn it into a mass produced product that will be in every American home -- but in the end it is up to America to call in and vote on which invention is worthy of the one million dollar prize.

American Inventor is produced by FremantleMedia North America, Simon Cowell's Syco Television and Peter Jones TV Ltd. Simon Cowell, Cecile Frot-Coutaz, Siobhan Greene, Peter Jones and Clay Newbill are executive producers. Dug James and Tabitha Hansen are co-executive producers.moreless

Dr. Katz is a divorced psychologist who lives with his son, Ben. While trying to help his patients (famous and not famous) with their traumas, paranoias, conflicts and problems, Dr. Katz also handles his own problems. His son Ben is all grown up but still don't know what to do with his life. His hobby is to waste Laura's (Dr. Katz's sarcastic receptionist) time with cheesy pick up lines and useless ideas and inventions. Dr. Katz also frequents a bar, Jacky's 33, and hangs out with his friend Stan and tries to get up the courage to flirt with the owner, Julie. Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist was a cartoon based on Jonathan Katz's personal life. Originally running on Comedy Central, the show aired for 6 seasons, and helped put Comedy Central on the map, along with fellow cartoon hit South Park. Halfway through its sixth season, the network took it off the air and aired most of the remaining episodes on a Christmas marathon later that year, with 3 episodes unaired. Among the patients that sporadically go to Dr. Katz for psychological help we can find familiar faces such as Winona Ryder, David Duchovny, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ben Stiller, Carrie Fisher, Conan O'Brien, Garry Shandling, Janeane Garofalo, Kathy Griffin, Lisa Kudrow, and Whoopi Goldberg, among others.moreless
