This show is about... err...zombies. The story starts three years after a worldwide zombie virus outbreak. In a period referred to as 'Black Summer' the zombies end society as we know it. In the last desperate days researchers at the Naval prison laboratory in Portsmouth try to speed up the process of finding a cure by injecting some appointed 'volunteers' with experimental vaccines. Apparently one of these volunteers, Murphy, gets lucky and, even though he's bitten 8 times by zombies, survives. From this point on the story is about getting Murphy, and more important: the vaccine in his blood, safely to California where there's supposed to be a still functioning lab that can extract the vaccine. Even though the main story is about extracting the cure, this show is about zombies. If you like zombies, this might be a show you'll enjoy. In the first episodes there's some nice elements like a zombie baby, a zombie dog (like in Resident Evil) and finishing zombies with the Liberty Bell (like one of the actors states "I'll pay money to see that again''). The show got some really bad reviews in the first week, but that's also because everybody today e x a c t l y knows how zombies look, move and should be, right?moreless

Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo is the 1979 update of the classic Scooby-Doo character. This was the fourth Scooby-Doo cartoon to date and introduced the world to Scrappy-Doo, Scooby's puppy nephew. Despite being related, Scrappy-Doo was not much like his uncle, Scooby. Situations that would normally cause Scooby-Doo to react in frozen terror would result in Scrappy-Doo putting up his paws and shouting "Lemme at 'em! I'll splat 'em!". Due to his small size and hot temper, Scrappy-Doo would often be in physical danger, forcing Scooby-Doo and Shaggy to reluctantly save him. Scooby, Scrappy, and the rest of Mystery, Inc. were still out solving mysteries. In this series they encounter some truly out-of-this-world characters including the UFO Weirdo, Aztec Acapulco Sea Creature, Sky Skeleton, Devil Bear, and Snake Demon of Haiti. Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo ran for one exciting season in 1979 and had Scooby-Doo fans young and old talking about "Puppy Power!"moreless

This is a modern day twist on Washington Irving's classic in which Ichabod Crane, resurrected 250 years in the future, pairs up with a present-day cop, Lieutenant Abbie Mills, to save the town of Sleepy Hollow from unparalleled evil. With Ichabod's extensive first-hand knowledge of this country’s hidden history and Abbie’s superior profiling and modern threat assessment skills, the two make an awesome team. Ichabod realizes early on that stopping his formidable foe, the Headless Horseman, is just the beginning, and he is but the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Clues from past mysteries enlighten the present as each episode features a flashback to Ichabods's 1776 life. The stories are shrouded in American history and mythology. Besides his own, another life in the balance is Ichabod's late wife, Katrina, who has become trapped in a type of netherworld. In order to save her, all he can do is gather the secrets he finds about her. Part of Ichabod's new life is Captain Frank Irving who doesn't always believe Ichabod's tales of 1776 but when bizarre events unfold that can't be explained, Irving grudgingly hands over the cases to Ichabod and Abbie.moreless

Welcome to the TV.com guide to Tales of the Unexpected. This collection of twist-in-the-tail stories of suspense, horror and black comedy (in the early seasons, all by Roald Dahl) was filmed by Anglia Television, a regional production company in the East of England. Each episode stands alone and has its own cast, and for two seasons each was introduced by Dahl himself from a fireside arm-chair. He took a back seat when most of the stories coming forward were based on the work of other writers. Tales of the Unexpected was an instant hit. It ran for nearly ten years, clocking up a total of 112 episodes, and in the UK it is still being repeated. Anglia sold the series to more than eighty other countries, and all episodes are now available on DVD as well as VHS.moreless

In the southern town of Bon Temps, a local barmaid named Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) understands what it's like to be an outcast. Cursed with the ability to listen in on people's thoughts, she's also open-minded about the integration of vampires. She is especially intrigued by Bill Compton(Stephen Moyer), a handsome 173-year-old living up the road. But as Sookie is drawn into a series of mysteries surrounding Bill's arrival in Bon Temps, that tolerance will be put to the test. Other town residents include Sookie's best friend Tara (Rutina Wesley), her slow-witted older brother Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and her shape-shifting boss Sam (Sam Trammell). Night Gallery was creator-host Rod Serling's follow-up to The Twilight Zone. Set in a shadowy museum of the outre, Serling weekly unveiled disturbing portraiture as preface to a highly diverse anthology of tales in the fantasy-horror vein. Bolstering Serling's thoughtful original dramas were adaptations of classic genre material--short stories by such luminaries as H. P. Lovecraft, Fritz Leiber, A.E. van Vogt, Algernon Blackwood, Conrad Aiken, Richard Matheson, August Derleth, and Christianna Brand. Variety of material brought with it a variety of tone, from the deadly serious to the tongue-in-cheek, stretching the television anthology concept to its very limits. (CREW INFORMATION SUPPLEMENT: Jaroslav Gebr was the artist for the pilot film's three gallery paintings. For the series, all of the gallery canvases were painted by Tom Wright. The gallery's metal sculptures were created by Phil Vanderlei and Logan Elston. Most episodes contained multiple story segments. For the listing of episode credits, crew information is listed under the primary story segment except where a production aspect--music, cinematography--differs among the segments.)moreless
