The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo is about the adventures of Scooby Doo, Shaggy Rogers, Daphne Blake, and Scrappy-Doo chasing after more mysteries. Now they are joined by a magnificent warlock called Vincent Van Ghoul, who is a cartoon caricature of Vincent Price (who also provides the voice), and a mischievous boy named Flim-Flam. Together they have to catch 13 ghosts and put them in a magical "Chest of Demons" that Scooby and Shaggy were tricked into opening by two sneaky ghosts named Weerd and Bogel. This was the last cartoon series that the original Scooby-Doo gang (minus Fred and Velma) appeared in for nearly 20 years. In 1988, the entire gang returned to TV as children in A Pup Named Scooby Doo, but they wouldn't resurface again weekly in their adult form until 2002 in What's New Scooby-Doo?.moreless

Welcome to the TV.com guide to Tales of the Unexpected. This collection of twist-in-the-tail stories of suspense, horror and black comedy (in the early seasons, all by Roald Dahl) was filmed by Anglia Television, a regional production company in the East of England. Each episode stands alone and has its own cast, and for two seasons each was introduced by Dahl himself from a fireside arm-chair. He took a back seat when most of the stories coming forward were based on the work of other writers. Tales of the Unexpected was an instant hit. It ran for nearly ten years, clocking up a total of 112 episodes, and in the UK it is still being repeated. Anglia sold the series to more than eighty other countries, and all episodes are now available on DVD as well as VHS.moreless

Shiki (Japanese for corpse demon) is a Japanese-style animated ("anime") series based on the eponymous horror novel by Japanese novelist Fuyumi Ono. Shiki is set in Sotoba, a small, docile village during a sweltering summer. The village begins to experience a number of mysterious deaths that coincide with the moving in of an unusual family into the Kanemasa mansion. Toshio Ozaki, a doctor at the only hospital in the village, begins to believe that an unexplained plague has descended upon the city. As he continues to investigate, however, he begins to suspect that the deaths are the result of zombies and undead creatures roaming the city at night. The story begins to follow Natsuno Yuuki, a young villager who is being followed by death throughout the village. The anime adaptation began broadcasting in July 2010 in Japan, and was simulcast through FUNimation on their online video website for North American markets.moreless

"Who ya gonna call?" New York City has enjoyed a lengthy respite from the supernatural for some time now. The Real Ghostbusters – Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore – did their jobs very well, but have long since gone on to lead more normal lives. Unfortunately, there are always ghosts out there, and they are coming back in full force. Without the Ghostbusters, New York City is defenseless against these menaces. As the sole one still around, Egon knows that he has to do something. However, even with old friend Janine Melnitz and ghostly sidekick Slimer around, he needs a lot more help. Enter a younger team compromised of Eduardo Rivera, Kylie Griffin, Garrett Miller and Roland Jackson. Guided by Egon and boasting more advanced ghostbusting equipment, the Extreme Ghostbusters face off against nastier and meaner ghosts. The Real Ghostbusters had been over for years, but interest in the franchise in general has always remained. Finally, after six years, Extreme Ghostbusters hit the airwaves. Boasting some of the people involved with RGB, EGB turned out some fan favorites (including the "Back in the Saddle" two-parter, which brought back Peter, Ray and Winston). Though not nearly as successful as its predecessor, this second spin-off was far more faithful to RGB than the short-lived Slimer! spin-off from years earlier.moreless

Back in the 1980s, he branched out into television production, writing and starring in a series so radical, so scary and so downright crazy that when the bosses of Channel 4 saw what they had on their hands, they ran away screaming, like little girls. Only now, twenty years on and amid the worst programming drought in television history, have the station finally allowed the show on the air. Intercut with new interviews with Marenghi himself and his co-stars Dean Learner and Todd Rivers, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is perhaps the most disturbing vision of hospital life ever broadcast.moreless
