    Disney Channel (ended 1990)
Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers was mainly about Chip and Dale's adventures in fighting crimes that the police think are too small to handle. Together, with the help of Gadget Hackwrench, the inventive and industrious girl mouse, a blue fly named Zipper, and Monterey Jack, a husky, strong mouse with a killer addiction for cheese, they match wits with evil scientists like Professor Nimbul and crooked cat underworld leader Fat Cat and his gang. This series first began on the Disney Channel in the spring of 1989, and then it had a long life on The Disney Afternoon block of shows. Main Characters Chip: The brave leader of the Rescue Rangers, resembles a pint-sized Indiana Jones. He is by far the most practical member of the team and his loyalty to the others never wavers, even if Dale does try his patience at times. Dale: He is much more excitable than Chip, a fact reflected in his fondness for garish red-and-yellow Hawaiian shirts. Has a fondness for comic books, science fiction and tall stories in general. Gadget Hackwrench: The only female Rescue Ranger is a brilliant inventor and created all the teams vehicles. The daughter of one of Monty's old friends, she is more than just a pretty face. Monteray Jack: Known to his friends as Monty, he is the eldest of the Rescue Rangers and was an explorer before he joined up with Chip and Dale. Has an addiction to cheese, which sometimes lands himself and the others in trouble. Zipper: A fly who hung round with Monty on his travels, he is the smallest Rescue Ranger. But what he lacks in size he more than makes up for in courage. Fatcat: As his name suggests, he is an overweight cat who used to belong to the first human villain the Rangers ever put behind bars. He is greedy, arrogant and short-tempered and is forever looking for some means of dominating the world. Meps, Wart, Mole and Snout: These are Fatcat's stooges. Meps is also a cat, while Wart, Mole and Snout are a lizard, a mole and a rat respectively. Professor Nimnul: A crazed human professor who is forever coming up with new devices with which to dominate the world.moreless

    Alvin & the Chipmunks

    Alvin & the Chipmunks

    Follow
    NBC (ended 1991)
This show focuses on three superstar chipmunks who have their own band and the crazy adventures they get into. It also features The Chipettes, their female counterparts and girlfriends. If you have any info, please contribute. Broadcast History ----------------- During its run, Alvin & the Chipmunks, existed in 2 forms... Alvin & the Chipmunks (or The Chipmunks (seasons 6-7)) (Seasons 1-7): All of the original episodes have aired on NBC. The Chipmunks Go To the Movies (Season 8): This also aired on NBC, but not as traditional episodes. All of the episodes were spoofs of famous movies. The Characters Alvin Seville Alvin is the oldest of the chipmunks, and also the lead singer of their group. He is most often the one who gets them into trouble, (usually in an attempt to get rich or famous) and tends to be selfish, self centered, and conceited at times. He really hates to be alone and is VERY vain about his looks, although he does suffer from 'small munk complex'. (his height). Regardless of all this, he is very protective of his brothers. Simon Seville Simon is the middle brother of the chipmunks and is considered the brain of the group. He is always the voice of reason and logic behind Alvin's crazy schemes, and usually (unsuccessfully), tries to talk him out of following these crazy ideas.. He is very level headed in tough situations and is a strong believer in following the rules-- though occasionally he does break them along with his brothers to make sure they don't get into too much trouble... In his spare time, he enjoys reading and studying. Theodore Seville Theodore is the youngest chipmunk, considered the nicest out of all the chipmunks and can get along with just about anyone-- although he does tend to be shy at times. He loves to eat and almost always seems to be hungry. He also enjoys cooking and baking in his spare time-- ( which helps explain his cute little plump figure) and tends to scare easily. He usually gets really nervous when he's around a girl he likes, and tends to be a little slow when it comes to learning in school. David "Dave" Seville Dave is the Chipmunks adoptive father, and also their manager. He found the boys after they were abandoned on his doorstep, and loves them as if they were his own. But Alvin is always driving him crazy with his schemes, causing him to yell his name in exasperation. Brittany Miller Brittany is the oldest of her sisters, and also the lead singer of their group. She can be egotistical and selfish, just like Alvin at times, and is EXTREMELY vain about her looks. She enjoys acting, modeling, and singing-- and is constantly competing with the Chipmunks over whose group is better. Since she is supposed to be the counterpart of Alvin, she too is always coming up with different ideas on how to get rich and famous. And again, just like Alvin, she tends to be very protective of her sisters-- although at times, it takes her awhile.... Jeanette Miller Jeanette is the brains of the group, and also the nice one, though she is very clumsy. Yet her personality doesn't resemble Simon's very much (except for her intelligence). In that respect, she is much more like Theodore. She is very kind towards her sisters, and tends to be quiet and shy. She is very confident about who she is, however, and doesn't seem to care what other people think about her. In her spare time she enjoys reading and studying. Eleanor Miller Just like Theodore, Eleanor loves to cook and bake, and because of it, is a little plump. Here though, the similarity ends. Her personality is not really like Theodore's at all: in reality, it's actually closer to Simon's than anyone else's. Like him, she is usually the one who tries to talk Brittany out of following her crazy schemes and tends to gets extremely annoyed and complains when her sister does something stupid. In a way, however, she is also a lot like Alvin: she is very athletic and good at almost every sport and would do anything to help her sisters. In this way, I think Eleanor is supposed to be a combination of all the Chipmunks, even though she is usually meant to represent Theodore's counterpart. Miss Beatrice Miller Miss Miller is the strange, eccentric, but nice, old lady who lives next door to the Chipmunks. She also happens to have a crush on Dave! She eventually ends up raising the Chipettes. Harry A sneaky, greedy, con-artist chipmunk who originally pretends to be the Chipmunks' long-lost mother's younger brother, in order to get them to work for him, with minimum wage: (or nothing at all). The Chipmunks eventually figure out that he's not really their uncle, and so successfully scheme to take the money he made off of them, and leave, returning to Dave. Harry, however, makes several more appearances throughout the television series. At his last, he even cons the Chipettes. Vinny, the Chipmunks' Mother Eventually, the Chipmunks go searching for their long-lost mother, Vinny, and after days of a treacherous search, actually manage to find her! At first, everyone's happy, but eventually Alvin gets upset since he doesn't understand why she abandoned them. Vinny explains that the year she abandoned them there was a horrible winter and all of the animals in the forest were forced to leave their homes because of it. The fact that they were so young, forced her to realize that they wouldn't survive the journey if she brought them with her. So instead, Vinny decided to leave them with a nice man who was always kind to the forest animals (Dave). She said, "Giving up her babies was the hardest thing she ever did," and then told them that when spring came and she could finally return to get them, she saw how happy they were with Dave, and thought they'd be better off with him. Eventually, Alvin forgives Vinny, and they all part ways on a good note: promising to keep in touch. Theme Song Lyrics "Watch out...cause here we come! It's been a while but we're back in style So get set to have some fun We'll bring you action and satisfaction We're the Chipmunks C-H-I-P-M-U-N-K We're the Chipmunks Guaranteed to brighten your day When you feel like a laugh Give us a call we'll give you our all And if you feel like a song Tune in to us and sing right along We're the Chipmunks Coming on stronger than ever before We're the Chipmunks Alvin, Simon, Theodore! Do-do, do-do-do-do!"moreless

If you think your school is a dump, think yourself lucky you don't go to the Monster Academy. It's an UNDERNEATH one!

But then again, this is no ordinary school, and Ickis, Krumm and Oblina are no ordinary students either... Welcome to the land of AAAHH!!! Real Monsters, where, at the Monster Academy, up-and-coming students learn the terrifying tricks of the monster trade, and get the necessary qualifications for a life of advance scarifying (their GCS-Eeks?).

Here, the insecure Ickis, the stinky-armpitted Krumm, and the candycane-shaped Oblina deal with issues like how to best scare supermarket shoppers, where to hide under the bed, and what to do with your eyeballs when you're not holding them in your mouth (here's a hint: juggle them).

All of this goes on under the watchful eyes of their teacher, the fearful Gromble. While these walking nightmares always find new ways to get into trouble, they survive their adventures by sticking together, sometimes literally!

Did you Know? A movie was once considered by the creators.

    *Characters*

Ickis: A rabbit-eared, 34-toothed, yellow eyed, pink furred monster. He is constantly losing his Monster Manual. Hates Gromble.

Krumm: Very hairy, with blue lips, and eyes held constantly in his hands. Usually he keeps his eyes in water at night or in his mouth when he needs his arms.

Oblina: When you hear the term "Skinny as a stick", it's referring to Oblina. Has a white body with black stripes and bulging eyes like a slug or snail. Has four teeth, four strands of hair on her head, and the most intelligent of the bunch. She can even pull organs out of her body!

Gromble: Has a green beard, green fur, black hands, yellow teeth, bulging eyes line Oblina's, and bright red lips. Head teacher of the Monster Academy. Constantly punishing Zimbo and Snorch. Common Quote: "Pay attention, Ickis."moreless

Sonic Underground premiered in 1999, and is the third U.S animated adventure to feature Sonic The Hedgehog, as with the previous two series, this show takes a slightly different direction and tone. This time, Sonic is one of three siblings, who together, are known as the hit rock band "Sonic Underground". In addition to being a rock band, the siblings are also the children of Aleena, queen of Mobius, who hid her kin away at an early age to keep them safe from the evil dictator who overthrew her: Sonic's age-old enemy, Dr. Robotnik. Robotnik learns of a prophecy that the hedgehogs will one day defeat him, find their mother, and restore peace to the planet. He immediately schemes to ensure the super-charged siblings do not fulfil this premonition. But with the aid of powerful medallions, Sonic, his brother Manic, and their sister Sonia, are determined to take the fight to Robotnik and his SWAT BOTS, as well as take the fight for freedom to a whole new velocity level. NOTE: It was shown on the BKN (Big Kids' Network), which Sci-Fi was affiliated with until 2001. It was syndicated onto UPN, but originally was with the Sci-Fi Channel weekdays at 6 A.M. They Made A Vow Their Mother Will Be Found SONIC UNDERGROUND! CHARACTERS: SONIC: One character that definitely doesn't need to be introduced is Sonic the Hedgehog. He is the fastest and coolest hedgehog in all of Mobius. His famous Super Spin lets him buzz right through walls, robots, and any obstacle Robotnik can come up with. Just like the 2 previous cartoons, he's voiced by Jaleel "Urkel" White. MANIC: One of the new characters in "Sonic Underground" is Sonic's brother Manic. Being a drummer, his brain can sometimes be too busy listening to his own unique beat to focus on what's happening arond him. He doesn't have any speed skills like Sonic; the only one he has mastered so far is speed drumming. He too is voiced by Jaleel White. SONIA: Another character is Sonic's sister Sonia. Her musical instrument is a portable keyboard synthesizer which also serves her as a gun. While Sonia doesn't have Sonic's speed, she has an unique ability: the Super Twirl, which lets her accelerate into a whirlwind spiral.Belive it or not, she's also voiced by Jaleel White. DR. ROBOTNIK: Robotnik is the ultimate villain, which we all love to hate. He is as mean and evil-looking as always, and more determined to catch Sonic and his siblings than ever, removing the last threat that stands between his final triumph. Voiced by Gary Chalk, who you may remember as the voice of Grounder from AoStH SWATBOTS: The new model SWATBOTS are meaner and more dangerous than the version in the previous cartoon series. They are all hi-tech, sporting a red metal body and dark grey metal limbs. Dingo and Sleet: Dingo and Sleet are Dr.Robotnik's evil Bounty Hunters. Dingo is a buff and muscle-bound dingodile who is in love with Sonia and not too bright however he is able to transform into anything. Cartoon Network (ended 2000)
Welcome to the Mike Lu & Og Guide at TV.com. Mike Lu & Og is one of Cartoon Network's shows that belongs to a collection of original network series known as Cartoon Cartoons. It premiered on Friday May 7, 1999 during the Cartoon Cartoons Fridays block. The show features a spunky, red-haired girl named Mike (short for Micheline; call her that and you'll be in big trouble), who's a foreign exchange student from Manhattan, New York, a stuck-up island princess named Lu, her cousin Og, a native boy and a scientific genius who can come up with a number of inventions as they go through the wackiest adventures as Mike learns the customs of the island of Albonquetine and the natives, in turn, learn of American culture. REGULAR CHARACTERS: Mike, a young girl from New York City who is stuck on the island. She's an exchange student on the island paradise of Albonquetine and is doing her best to fit in with the natives, while keeping her New York attitude. She often tells the islanders about common items and aspects of American culture that are rather new to them. Lu also known as LuLu, or "Princess Lu" (mainly to herself) is the island's resident brat. She has a pet turtle named Lancelot, who's friendly, but usually treated meanly by his mistress, who spends most of her time trying to get attention or trying to get rid of Mike, because most times she's able to steal the spotlight away from her. Og is Lu's cousin and gets along well with pretty much everybody. He's a genius, so he spends most of his time in his "lab" which is actually a little workshop inventing things for use on the island...many of the items he invents are food or for play (hot dogs made of coconuts for Mike, a sidewalk all over the island for skating, etc.) Alfred is Og's father and a kind man, albeit absent-minded sometimes. His main hobby is hunting, usually with a bow and plunger-tipped arrows. He particularly goes after a very elusive wombat, who with wit or dumb luck often gets away. Margery is Alfred's wife and Og's mother. She's skilled at island cooking and an artist, specializing in sculpting with chisels. She works hard, but often takes time to stop for a cup of tea at least once a day, for it's always an island custom. Wendel is Lu's father and governor of Albonquetine Island. He's often at home passing laws and approving documents, but also helps the islanders celebrate special holidays and reminding them of their history. He has a pet parrot named Skipper who at times can get on his nerves, but would be lonely without him. Queeks is the island elder the gang seeks for advice. He also has magic abilities that at times can go awry. He's a good old man, but often cranky. RECURRING CHARACTERS: Goat, Pig, and Spiney (the Porcupine) make up the island's Philosophical Society with Og. They have weekly meetings discussing various topics, a number of which lead to debate. They're all intellectuals, but speak only in Og's presence and act like regular animals when anyone else walks by. The Pirates, consisting of The Captain, Mate and Bos'n, live off the island where there's little food and they're always hungry as a result. Their favorite delicacy is turtle soup which usually leads to danger for Lancelot if they ever cross paths, as he's sure to be captured and put in their pot. Fortunately for him, Mike, Lu and Og are always around to rescue him. The Cuzzlewits are the clan that live on the other side of Albonquetine Island. They're wilder and more savage than the regular gang Mike knows. But there's at least one exception with preteen girl Hermione, who's smart and sophisticated, particularly by they way she speaks. She not afraid to offer her opinions and advice and is friendly to Mike, Lu, and Og. But she has two younger brothers Haggis and Baggis, who more than make up for their sister's lack of wildness. Other links to Mike, Lu, & Og: wikipedia imdb big cartoon database Lineup History: The show premiered on Cartoon Network on May 7, 1999. It ran for two seasons from June 1999-August 2000 with 2 shorts per half-hour block. It went off that network a couple of years later, but returned on sister channel Boomerang in late 2006, where it's certain to remain. Opening theme song: (To a calypso beat) Mike, Lu, and Og--On the island, Mike, Lu, and Og--Pretty island, Where nobody goes. Palm tree and blue sky, Fish are jumping high, It's an island where nobody knows. Ain't no burger stand, Ain't no disco band, On the island where nobody goes. Whooooo-whoooo-whooo-weee! Nickelodeon (ended 2004)
Rocket Power premiered on Nickelodeon on August 16, 1999, and can now be seen weekdays at 4:30 A.M EST onNicktoons Network, and on Sunday mornings at 6:00 A.M. EST on Nickelodeon. The show is about four friends who are addicted to action and extreme sports. Otto Rocket, his sister Reggie, and their pals Twister and Sam excel at just about every aggressive sport you can imagine. Their hometown of Ocean Shores, CA is the ultimate place for a game of hockey, skating the half-pipe or rollerblading on the boardwalk. There are extreme sports for all seasons, however, so don't be surprised if you catch the kids heading up to the mountains for snowboarding, ice hockey, and all manner of arctic action. All that competition can get, well, pretty competitive sometimes. So it's a good thing folks like Otto and Reggie's dad Ray and his business partner Tito Makani are around to remind everyone that way cool friendships are more important than winning events. Main Characters Otto Rocket: Otto is the leader of the group. As they say in the episode "All About Sam", he's a total action guy. He can be selfish and overly-competitive at times, and even more unreliable, but he tries to be a good friend, and more often than not, he does a pretty good job at it. He's also "rad" on wheels, waves and powder, and he plays a mean game of hockey! Reggie Rocket: Reggie is Otto's older sister, by two years. She's awesome at sports, and at times, she can be as competitive as her younger brother. She can be a little bossy sometimes, but she really doesn't mean to be. She is mostly the one who keeps Otto down to earth when he gets a bit too self-centered, and there are times when she acts as his conscience. So there's a lot more to this action-loving girl athlete that what she can do with a skateboard, a surfboard, a hockey stick, and a laptop. Maurice "Twister" Rodriguez: Twister is Otto's best bro. He's totally rad with his video camera, which he uses to tape all the extreme stunts he, Otto, and Reggie do. He's a little bit slow on the uptake, but in a totally sweet (well, the girls on this site think that) and comical way. Samuel L. "Squid" Dullard: Sam is probably the least extreme of the group, but that doesn't make him any less awesome. He's Reggie's best bro. He helps her publish her Zine on his laptop. Sam is pretty much the brains of The Rocket Gang, but it's his fear of risks that helps to keep the gang from going too far. Ray "Raymundo" Rocket: Ray has done a lot of things in his long life. But if the kids get into some trouble, they get a big punishment! Other then that he's a really nice guy. Tito Makani: Tito is a native of the beautiful state of Hawaii. He is really nice guy. He gives the "little cuzzes" Ancient Hawaiian advice and help with surfing. Sometimes he can go a little overboard with what he's doing, but it all comes out ok. From March 26 to April 8, 2002 a contest and show called Maximum Rocket Power Live: The Battle For Madtown Park where teams would compete in extreme sports like the Rocket Gang did. It got cancelled due to low ticket sales. It was supposed to tour cities all over the Midwest. The Show ended after the TV Movie episode "The Big Day" on July 30, 2004.moreless
