But with little help from Pete's wife Peg, Goofy won't have any problem at all. Max on the other hand tries to be much cooler than his dad and with his new pals PJ and Pistol they get themselves into wacky adventures. Of course the show won't be complete without the " How to Do" narrator. The show also has a movie which takes place a few years after the series when Max is a teenager along with new chracters like his sweetheart Roxanne, Stacey and Bobby. The show aired as part of ABC's TGIF. The show is about a single father, Kevin Burke (Christopher Sieber), and his twin daughters, Mary-Kate & Ashley Burke (Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen). The girls have a sitter, Carrie (Sally Wheeler), which happens to be a student of Kevin's. The show focuses mostly on the misadventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley, but the real draw to the show was the relationship between Kevin and Carrie. As the season finale (which was the series finale) came around, we saw a possible spark between Kevin and Carrie, but the show was cancelled and we were left to wonder...moreless

ZOOM is a show targeted at ages 6-11 but many people older than that watch it too! The show makes ZOOM-dos, CafeZooms, Znacks, ZOOMsci's, and more that you can do at home! They are time friendly and kid friendly! Many people watch the show because it is made by kids and for kids. Being shown on PBS Kids (Public Broadcasting Service), the show is nonviolent and is played without commercial interruption.

Each season of ZOOM consisted of seven average kids (3 boys, 4 girls)called ZOOMers. The ideas for activities for the show were sent in by the viewers either by e-mail or snail-mail (Z-O-O-M box 350, Boston Mass.) At the beginning of each season, some of the old cast members would leave and be replaced with new kids, only two cast members stayed more than two seasons (Caroline, seasons 2-5, and Shing Ying, seasons 5-7).

Shining Time Station

PBS (ended 1997)

Shining Time Station is a railroad station located in the Indian Valley. The station master is Stacy Jones and there were two engineers. In season 1, the engineer was Henry "Harry" Cupper. He was replaced in season 2 by Billy Twofeathers. There is also an arcade with a Jukebox. The owner of the arcade is the humoristic Schemer who likes to play tricks on people. An 18-inch man named Mr. Conductor lives in a painting on the station wall. He was played by Ringo Starr in the first season, but when his character left to go to the North Pole in the Christmas special, he was replaced by his cousin, played by George Carlin. George Carlin and he played his cousin Mr. Conductor who would replace him at the station in the second season and stay there for the entire run of the show. He goes to the Island of Sodor and tells stories about Thomas the Tank Engine. The kids who come to the station are Matt, Tanya, Dan, Kara, and Becky. Shining Time Station is a comedy series which teach lessons about life. It is based on musical (Juke Box Band) and Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends presentations. The Juke Box Band are small puppets who play a large variety of music ranging from folk, country, ballad to rock. "Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends" is an art masterpiece. It shows movie clips of miniature trains on an island with beautiful special effects that are similar to real life.moreless

Freakazoid!

Dexter Douglas is a mild-mannered teenager who, while logged onto the Internet one Christmas, is thrust into a horrible crash on the information superhighway and transformed into an electrifying superhero. He's average, predictable, the middle of the bell curve and the center of the silent majority, which most consider completely dull and boring; the type of person who just blends into the crowd. However, all this changes when he turns into the Freakazoid, a lightening haired superhero who wears red underwear and uses his new abilities to fight evil and do battle with villains such as the Lobe. That is, unless Cosgrove, his best friend and chief of police, can suggest something better to do. With his many trusted sidekicks, his fabulous Freakalair and his girlfriend Steph by his side, he's ready to save the day; that is, unless there's something better on TV. Character Descriptions Freakazoid is the hero of our show, the crazy alter-ego of Dexter Douglas. He draws his amazing powers of super speed and strength from cyberspace, which he obtained after an accident involving a Pinnacle Computer Chip. While he does his best to save the day, he's considered a lunatic and often does the unexpected. Dexter Douglas is the teenage geek alter-ego of Freakazoid, he's quiet, mild mannered and a bit of a nerd; though he does keep his other identity a secret. However, when evil rears its ugly head, Dexter will "Freak Out" to become the mighty Freakazoid. Cosgrove is the chief of police and Freakazoid's best friend. He's always on the hand with good advice for our hero and he typically has a neat idea about how to spend the afternoon. While he's not always useful, he usually does come along to bust the bad guys when Freakazoid managed to defeat the villains. Steph is both Dexter and Freakazoid's love interest; she's considered an attractive character but is romantically interested in Freakazoid, which makes Dexter upset; though it does permit her to be around to help Freakazoid save the day at times. The Lobe is Freakazoid's archenemy; he's always coming up with diabolical schemes that will help him take over the world, though despite his huge brain, he's always running into Freakazoid's opposition at every turn. The Huntsman, formally Marty Feeb, is a super strong, super fast hero who lives in the forest, but will run to the city to fight crime in a jiffy whenever 'The Horn of Urgency' is sounded. Provided it isn't a slow crime day, that is. Lord Bravery is an up and coming British super hero trying to make his name. Things just never seem to go right for him though. Beakman's World

Beakman’s World was an educational children’s television show starring the eccentric scientist Professor Beakman (Paul Zaloom). Aided by a female assistant (Josie (Alanna Ubach, 1993-94); Liza (Eliza Schneider, 1994-95); Phoebe (Senta Moses, 1995-96)) and Lester the Rat (Mark Ritts), Beakman performed comical experiments and demonstrations to illustrate various scientific concepts, from density to electricity. At the beginning and end of the show, as well as before or after commercial breaks, the show featured short scenes portraying puppet penguins, Don (Bert Berdis) and Herb (Alan Barzman), at the North Pole watching Beakman’s World on television. Beakman’s World was a production of Columbia Tri-Star Television Distribution, Columbia Pictures Television. It premiered in September of 1992, on The Learning Channel (TLC) cable network and in national syndication (225 stations). On September 18, 1993 it moved from national syndication to CBS’ Saturday morning children’s lineup. The program was based upon the comic strip “You Can with Beakman and Jax,” created by Jok Church. Double Dare

Nickelodeon (ended 2000)

Double dare is undoubtedly the phenomenon that made Nickelodeon what it is today. The rules go something like this:Each round starts off with a toss-up physical challenge. Whoever wins gets $10 and control of the game. Host Marc Summers (Jason Harris in Double Dare 2000) asks the winning team a question. If they don't know the answer or think the other team doesn't have a clue, they can dare them to answer it for double the dollars. But they have to be careful because they can double dare the first team back for 4 times the amount. Then, they either have to answer the question or take a physical challenge. In round 2, dollar values are doubled. The winner of the game moves on to the obstacle course, where they navigate through 8 obstacles and they win a prize for each obstacle. If they make it through all 8 obstacles, they win the grand prize. Double Dare history On October 6, 1986, the first episode of Double Dare was taped at WHYY studios in Philadelphia. In 1987, Nickelodeon decided to create a short-lived weekend edition called Super Sloppy Double Dare, which was cancelled after about 20 episodes. One year later, in 1988, Fox bought syndication rights from Nickelodeon, so they created another short-lived edition called Family Double Dare. Because Fox wanted more adult material on their network, Family Double Dare was canned after 13 episodes. But the good news: the original Double Dare was still in production.Later, in 1989, other kids game shows came into play, thus causing Double Dare's ratings to drop a little. So Nickelodeon reincarnated Super Sloppy Double Dare and dusted it off to incorporate the "super sloppiness". This version of Super Sloppy Double Dare lasted about one season, but it had 100 episodes, plus a bunch of special episodes. Then, in 1990, Nickelodeon reincarnated Family Double Dare, redesigning the Fox version. A year later, in 1991, because of these new spin-offs, the original Double Dare was cancelled, but its spin-offs remain. In 1992, a two-episode spin-off called Super Special Double Dare was created. In Super Special Double Dare, Nickelodeon celebrities played against each other (usually boys against girls). In the first episode of Super Special Double Dare, the cast of Clarissa Explains It All played against the cast of Welcome Freshmen. The second episode was the NBA All-star special. In 1993, the last season was shown. Harvey had to quit his job of announcer because of the birth of his son Caleb. So Doc Holiday took over. The final episode was the hour-long Family Double Dare Tournament of Cahmpions, which pitted the smartest and fastest teams against each other. After that, Double Dare was officially cancelled, but Family Double Dare played reruns until 1999. Like Marc Summers said in his autobiography, Everything In Its Place, "We had enough episodes on tape to do reruns forever".That could have been the end of Double Dare...until January 22, 2000! Double Dare was reincarnated as Double Dare 2000. Jason Harris was the new host of this short-lived revival of Double Dare. The preview Snick episode of Double Dare 2000 pitted the cast of the Amanda Show and the cast of 100 Deeds For Eddie McDowd against each other. Granny now has a detective agency and solves crimes with the help of Sylvester and Tweety. The mysteries take them all over the world, to places you never thought thy would go. Sylvester is also still trying to eat Tweety bird, but for the most part they get along.

Sylvester Cat, Tweety Bird, and Hector the Bulldog are the pets of Granny, a gingerly matron with a penchant for solving mysteries. Granny is a Jessica Fletcher-like traveling detective who investigates disappearing objects and bizarre events at the four corners of the globe, while Sylvester constantly tries to grab and eat Tweety and is stopped by ever dutiful Hector, appointed Tweety's guardian by Granny.moreless

When their home planet, Mars is on the verge of destruction by the Plutarkians- a species of fish-like aliens who are searching for resources from other planets, a bunch of Humanoid Mice escape their world. Throttle, Vinnie, and Modo, a trio of Biker Mice from Mars were shot down by a Plutarkian Ship, and crash landed on Earth. On Chicago, Illinois, they become allies with a human mechanic named Charley. The Mice discover that the Plutarkians have started to make their move on th Earth. The Biker Mice quickly investigate, and discover that one of the city's leading citizens, Lawrence Limburger, is actually a Plutarkian in disguise, who is sending the land back to Plutark. Characters Vinnie: The 21-year-old Vinnie is a rebel who has a big ego. He is certainly fearless, daring, and loves everything that is involved in danger. His implusiveness and boldness always gets him in trouble. Modo: The buffed-up muscle mice, Modo, 23-years-old, is kind and gentle, but he can do serious damage if he is angered or finds himself in a battle with villains. Throttle: The capable and responsible leader, Throttle always wants to find some action. The dashing 23-year-old acts "cool" and sends out good messages and ideas to solve their problems.moreless

101 Dalmatians: The Series is based on Disney's famous animated movie 101 Dalmatians. There's always lots of fun with 101 Dalmatian puppies as they grow and play. This series focuses on the life of three main Dalmatians as they cope with their new life on the farm, as well as their chicken friend and various other characters. Cruella DeVil wants to steal the farm that the Dearly's live on, in which they are the owners of the Dalmatians. Main Characters: •Lucky: Lucky is the leader of the four main pups. He's very adventurous and always seems to be full of energy, but his addiction to the action he watches on TV has made him a little too adventurous and he's usually the one at fault when the pups get into trouble. •Cadpig: The little hippie of the small group and also the runt of the litter (hence the name). Cadpig always likes to see the world in a very peaceful way. She often uses metaphysical metaphors as words of wisdom to her friends. She may seem like she's happy all the time, but you won't like her when she's angry. •Rolly: This plump puppy has the biggest appetite of all the pups. Food is his biggest desire, and he more often thinks with his stomach instead of his brain. Still, he's Lucky's best friend, and among the four main pups, he has the best sense of smell and a lot of knowledge when it comes to the quality of dog food. •Spot: Spot is just a chicken with a poorly-built body. She has always longed to be a dalmatian puppy. She always hangs out with the pups to have fun. Whenever the pups go on an adventure, she's usually there with them. Mega Man was created by a scientist named Dr. Light, who hoped his creation would only be used for good. But a mad scientist named Dr. Wily stole the creation plans and a few of Dr. Light's other robots, named Guts Man, Cut Man, Ice Man, and various others which he reprogramed for evil. Each had a special power; But Dr. Light gave Mega Man the ultimate trump card when he built him. That meant whenever Mega Man defeated one of these evil robots he would attain their powers for use it good as he was programed for. Mega Man and his trusty canine sidekick, Rush, would fight the evil robots, and occasionally they'd be joined by Mega Man's sister, Roll. But Dr. Wily also stole one other robot... Silver Surfer

When the planet of Zenn-La comes under attack by Galactus, a cosmic entity obsessed with satisfying his undying hunger by consuming planets abundant with life, a man known as Norrin Radd bargains to stop him. He offers to help find planets fit for consumption yet not containing life. Galactus accepts the offer and empowers him with the power cosmic, as well as removing the memories of his humanity, thus creating the Silver Surfer. The Surfer serves as the faithful servant to Galactus until a confrontation with the evil Thanos awakens his memories of his home planet and his love Shalla Bal. After defending Earth from Galactus, the Surfer is allowed to go out on his own only to discover that an angry Galactus has moved Zenn-La into an unknown area of space. Now facing isolation, hatred from those whose planets he helped destroy, and an ever-present threat from Galactus, the Silver Surfer roams through space seeking out his home and helping those he meets along the way. Silver Surfer had aired on Saturdays on Fox Kids. It only lasted one season with 13 episodes. Release history:
The soundtrack to Multiplication Rock was released on LP (Capitol 11174) in 1973 and on CD (Capitol 91253) in 1989. The discs are in stereo, but missing some foley from the broadcast versions. (see also reissues and covers) Filmstrips and 16mm films of Multiplication Rock, Grammar Rock, America Rock and Science Rock (hereafter The Big Four) were available to schools and libraries from Xerox Films. The film prints (and possibly the filmstrips) came with teachers' aides which included lyrics, questions for students and activities. In 1987 The Big Four were released by Golden Book Video on four VHS tapes. Cloris Leachman and "a group of young friends" sang and danced to new between-segment songs not produced by the original team. The tapes were missing The Good Eleven, Little Twelvetoes, and Three-Ring Government and America Rock was renamed History Rock. The videos were re-released on VHS (Aug. 8, 1995) and laserdisc (Dec. 13, 1995) by Capital Cities/ABC Video Publishers, restoring the missing segments and removing Ms. Leachman and friends. CD-ROMs and at least two music folios were released in 1996. Released Apr. 9, 1996 School House Rock! Rocks featured new versions of SHR songs performed by contemporary rock stars. School House Rock, the Box Set was released June 18, 1996 and featured 41 songs on 4 CDs. Disc 1 featured the stereo versions of Multiplication Rock plus a bonus track, My Hero, Zero by The Lemonheads. Discs 2-4 featured mono versions of the songs (probably directly from film) except The Preamble which is in stereo, and Verb which has an extremely small amount of separation. Episodes made in the 1990s were made in stereo and are presented in stereo in the box. The four discs were released separately, minus The Lemonheads track, on Apr. 1, 1997. Another tribute album, School House Rocks the Vote was released Aug. 18, 1998. It featured various artists covering School House Rock songs. Among the artists were Grady Tate singing Messin' with My Bill of Rights!, I'm Just a Bill by Joan Osborne and South Park's Isaac Hayes, and The Campaign Trail by Bob Dorough. A sampler CD, The Best of School House Rock was released Nov. 3, 1998, featuring songs by the original artists. I Got Six was named Best Picture of 1973 by ASIF-East, a chapter of the International Animated Film Association. Multiplication Rock received honors from Action for Children's Television. Bob Dorough received an Grammy nomination in 1974 for the Multiplication Rock LP, probably for Best Recording for Children (the winner was Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too). Most impressive was SHR's 4 Emmys, beating out shows like Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood Each discipline has been given its own season. Throughout the Years: Babar made his debut in "The Story of Babar" published in 1931 by Jean de Brunhoff. Jean created and illustrated seven Babar titles before dying in 1937. Laurent de Brunhoff, son of Jean, continues his father's work and is still writing Babar books. In the year, 2006, Babar will celebrate being King of The Elephants for 75 years!

Production: 78 episodes are broadcast in 30 languages in over 150 countries, making Babar one of the largest distributed animation shows in history. With over 100 licensees worldwide, the Babar brand has a multi-generational following. There are even 12 dedicated Babar stores in Japan. Babar currently airs on television today on the HBO, FAMILY channel, and Treehouse. There are also 2, or more, videos with Babar in it but those two have gone out-of-print.

Characters: BABAR: King Babar is a charming and charismatic elephant. He brought his love of the city back to the great forest and built the beautiful, happy kingdom of Celesteville. Though he is a dedicated ruler and world traveller, Babar is happiest when picnicking at the lake with his family or joining in the antics of his lively children.

CELESTE: Queen Celeste has also travelled the world and has had many great adventures. She has a regal presence, an engaging manner and a gentle sense of humour. The children adore their mother. After an active day with the family and governing the kingdom, Babar and Celeste enjoy watching the stars together from the palace veranda.

OLD LADY/ MADAME: From their first meeting in the city, the Old Lady and Babar shared a special friendship. She gave him a home and taught him about life in the city. Though she misses him greatly, she understood his decision to return to the forest. Babar built her a home in Celesteville, where she made the decision to stay and live with her friends, the elephants.

FLORA: Flora is fun-loving and strong-willed. She can more than hold her own with her two brothers. Whether building tree houses, sliding down the banister at the palace, or preparing a surprise breakfast for their parents, Flora is always immersed in the action.

ISABELLE: Isabelle was an amazing baby, walking early, talking early, even roller blading! Anything to keep up with the triplets. Pom, Flora and Alexander are enchanted with their little sister. Everyone in the kingdom admires Isabelle's independent spirit.

CORNELIUS: Cornelius, the oldest and wisest elephant in Celesteville, takes his job as Babar's chief advisor very seriously, whether accompanying Babar on state visits or organizing numerous Celesteville parades. When not working, Cornelius can often be found relaxing in a field with a butterfly net.

ARTHUR: Arthur is Babar's mischief-making cousin. He has an engaging smile, bright eyes and a friendly outgoing He often gets himself (and one or more of the children) involved with practical jokes and crazy stunts. He has nerves of steel and a heart of gold!

POM: Pom is the leader of the children. He is the biggest of the bunch and protective of his brother and sisters though he will gladly join in with Alexander in playfully teasing his sisters, Flora and Isabelle.

ALEXANDER: Alexander, the smallest of the triplets, is a non-stop ball of entertainment who is into everything and disarmingly naive about the commotion he causes.

ZEPHIR: Zephir is one of Babar's oldest friends, and is considered one of the family. He is the first to take off with Arthur and the kids on some crazy adventure. But Babar knows that Zephir can always be trusted to look after the children and bring them home safely.moreless
