    Cubix: Robots for Everyone

    The WB (ended 2003)
Cubix: Robots for Everyone takes place in the year 2040 in Bubble Town where robots outnumber humans. Robots are made in RobixCorp. Everyone has a robot, each with its own unique duty. This show centers around the Botties, a special club for people who know how to fix robots. But robots are going crazy all over Bubble Town all of a sudden, and no one knows why.

The villain of the series, Dr. K, is after a greenish blue liquid known as Solex, which is what's making the robots go crazy, and he will stop at nothing to get it.

    Cubix was:

    - A Korean/U.S. Co-Production between Cinepix and 4Kids Entertainment
    - Aired in America before coming to Korea.
    - Adapted into a "manhwa" (Korean comic book) published by Daiwon
    - Adapted into a stage musical

This show was created by 4Kids Entertainment and originally went to Kids' WB! along with Yu-Gi-Oh! as part of a contract between The WB and 4Kids Entertainment, and it lasted two strong seasons. It then went to the Fox Box for a year, but now, it only remains in our hearts.

    Characters:

    HUMANS:

Connor: The main human of the series, 13-year-old Connor is obsessed with robots. He moved to Bubble Town, and soonafter joined the Botties' Pit and fixed the "unfixable" robot, Cubix.

Abby: Connor's next-door neighbor, best human friend, and fellow robot-lover, Abby was the first to show Connor around Bubble Town. She is a member of the Botties. Her pet robot, Dondon, has been her best robot friend since Abby was 6 years old. Abby's idol is Hela Nemo.

Chip: The short and smart Bottie, Chip knows a lot about robots. He's best friends with tall, dumb Mong, and his robot is Cerebrix.

Mong:The fat, tall, dumb Bottie, Mong loves to eat and make bad jokes. He's best friends with short, smart Chip, and his pet robot is Maximix.

Hela Nemo: The adult Bottie, 30-year-old Hela knows everything about robots. She's the son of Professor Nemo and the idol of Abby. She owns the Botties Pit, and her main robots are Diagnostix, Mr. Fixit, Ixpressive, and Attractix.

Charles: A spoiled brat, the richest kid in town, and the son of the mayor. Charles' family has important connections in Bubble Town, so he gets all the latest robot models. His main robot, Quixtreme 5000, Charles thinks he's the coolest robot ever, but boy is he wrong!

Dr. K: The main villain of the series, Dr. K used to work for RobixCorp, but he lost his arm in a lab explosion and now uses his smarts for evil. In Season 1 he's after a substance called Solex to build the ultimate robot and destroy Bubble Town. His main robot is Kolossal, but he has his own line of evil robots such as Katastrophe, Kannon, Krab, and Kilobot.

Graham: Connor's dad, he works at a local donut shop. He doesn't like robots, and his closest things to his own robot are Cubix and the Waitrixes that work at the donut shop.

Raska: Bubble Town's most famous celebrity, Raska is the spokesperson of RobixCorp. She doesn't really have any robots besides the Cinematixes that film her. However, Raska's true form is an alien who is Dr. K's boss.

Taryn: Connor's mother, she died before the series started. Connor keeps a picture of her in his room as a memory.

Professor Nemo: The ultimate robotist, Professor Nemo is a robot encyclopedia. He was the one who built Cubix. Nemo disappeared in the aforementioned lab explosion, but was later found kidnapped by Dr. K. A giant sculpture of Nemo was always kept on the first floor of RobixCorp.

    ROBOTS:

Acoustix: The "loud mouth of Bubble Town", this robot looks like a blue ball with a microphone. He has five built-in speakers, and a multi-time zone clock.

Aquatix: The "robotic water purifier", Aquatix is like the Pur system you install on your faucet. He can clean water, turning it from wasteful water into fresh, ready-to-drink water.

Attractix: Also known as "Kan-it" or "Magnetix", this robot is like a magnet. He can attract magnetic items toward him, usually to dump them into the Bubble Town Recycling Center. He seems to have a changing personality - he was made at RobixCorp for said purpose, but then wandered off to work for Dr. K, but then he joined the side of the Botties. Now that's what I call a magnetic personality!

Babysix: The babysitting robot, Babysix is always available whenever you need her. On top of that, she also won the best robot contest for doing an accidental dance!

Botanix: She's Bubble Town's gardening robot, she can make a topiary of anything. She was also the first robot to be seen infected with Solex.

Brutix: This robot looks like a flying bulldog. It is actually the town police dog. They work with Sgt. Civix to keep the town clean of crimes.

Cerebrix: Chip's personal robot, this is like a walking encyclopedia. This robot has data on anything, and can calculate things in seconds.

Cubix: The main robot and star of the series, Cubix, the robot made of cubes, was built by Professor Nemo of RobixCorp. But Cubix was disabled in a lab explosion, and Professor Nemo was missing. The Botties and even Hela all tried their hardest to fix him, but none of them could. But for some reason Hela didn't want to throw him out. Until Connor came. Connor had some idea that Cubix would be his best friend and change his life. Since joining the Botties Pit requires fixing a robot within 24 hours, Connor chose Cubix. Cubix can transform into a hover scooter, a helicopter, and even a drill! Cubix always knows how to help out.

Dondon: Abby's pet robot ever since she was six, Dondon is a flying pig robot that always pictures himself in the big picture. Dondon is very annoying, but he's also cute and can transmit messages and sound. He also loves triball!

Maximix: This is Mong's pet robot. Maximix was given to Mong by his parents as an excercise robot, but Mong uses him so he doesn't have to walk anywhere! Maximix is very strong and fast, but sometimes he thinks too much of himself.

    Theme Song Lyrics:

In the future, not so far away
It's the dawning of an all new day!
    (Robots for everyone!)
Machines that care could be our friends
Side by side until the end!
    (Robots for everyone!)
They've built special powers right inside
(Hundreds of models from which to choose
    With emotion-driven EPUs!)
When the worlds of good and bad collide
    Gotta fight!
    (Oh!)
    Day and night!
    (Yeah!)
    'Cuz you got the robot
    Who sets everything right!
    (Cubix!)
    Powers beyond compare!
    (Cubix!)
    Evil forces better beware!
    (Cubix!)
There's trouble, we will always be there!
    Robots for everyone.....

Welcome to the Pet Alien Guide at TV.com!

Show Description This series is about a young teenage boy named, Tommy Cadle who loves to hang out with his Pet Alien pals. It's a great series. Watch it! Imagine that you're an alien from outer space. You've left behind your boring, conformist dimension known as Conforma and traveled across time, space and other dimensions to arrive at planet earth, and then land in a little out-of-the-way seaside town called DeSpray Bay. More specifically, Tommy Cadle's lighthouse hideaway. That's right! Pet Aliens have crashed into the top of the lighthouse tower and made themselves at home. Unfortunately, the earth boy living there was none-too-keen on this house invasion. When Tommy woke to be greeted by a big, slobbering Gumpers, he did what any kid would do when faced with being devoured by a pink, fuzzy, lovable alien: he ran and fell off the top of his lighthouse! It looked like this was going to be a very short TV series. And then, Dinko to the rescue! The little green fellow raced down the side of the lighthouse and caught Tommy before he became a "Cadle pancake". Thus, a friendship was born – and we're not talking about the one between Swanky and himself. A special bond formed between human and a Pet Alien; sentimental and emotional attachment that remains solid, even if one can sometimes drive the other crazy.

Character Guide Tommy Cadle - Tommy Cadle is an average thirteen-year old boy who one day met alien pals. Tommy Cadle had a boring life before the aliens came. Now his life's crazy and he experiences more adventures than ever. Tommy likes to draw and express his feelings in different ways. Tommy is the main character in this animated series.

Dinko - Dinko brought a long all of these aliens to earth. Dinko is the leader of the alien gang as he helps out Tommy and his other pals. Dinko gives Tommy an adventure to his life. Without him, this series would be nothing. Dinko is one of the main stars of this series. You can't take this alien out of the series.

Gumpers - Gumpers is the big, lovable alien who does nothing but being very lazy. Gumpers is a lot like a monster, the only problem is, Gumpers is afraid of monsters. Well, actually Gumpers is afraid of everything and that's how it's going to be in the lighthouse for a while.

Flip - Flip is crazy and wild. His name, "Flip" describes a lot of his wacky personality. Flip's to hyper to even speak. Flip speaks altogether and it's extremely hard to tell what he is saying. To translate what Flip is saying, you better call up your Spanish teacher.

Swanky - Swanky is a pain in the butt. Swanky was brought up by getting everything that he wants. This makes Swanky a nerve and puts him in the "boring" character in this series. Swanky's usually found trying to take over the lighthouse for himself. He doesn't really like the other aliens, but he gets around it somehow.

Scruffy - Scruffy is the mega happy dog of your dreams. Well, he's not really a dog, he's an alien. Scruffy tagged along with the aliens because he was stranded by his owner, who we do not know. Scruffy loves to be scratched behind the ear and do all the stuff regular human-like dogs do. Without Scruffy this series would be a blur.moreless

Welcome to the Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends guide at TV.com. The show is about a tank engine, Thomas, and his friends who live on the Island of Sodor. Together, the engines work on the railways under the supervision of Sir Topham Hatt, the "Fat Controller." Thomas The Tank Engine actually dates back to 1945, when the Reverend Wilbert Vere Awdry created The Railway Series to amuse his son Christopher, who was suffering from measles. His wife Margaret encouraged him to publish the stories and he did so, going on to add another book each year (except 1947 and 1971) until 1972. Wilbert's son Christopher later continued The Railway Series up to 40 books. In 1984 Britt Allcroft decided to turn the stories into a TV series with Ringo Starr as the narrator. He was replaced by Michael Angelis in 1991, who still narrates today. (Full Narrator listings below.) When the series was shown on PBS in the US, it was part of a show called Shining Time Station. 2 of the show's narrators played Mr. Conductor in the series, Ringo Starr in the earlier episodes and George Carlin later. Since the show ran from 1989 to 1993, only early episodes of Thomas are part of it. A note on writers: In the episode guide, the writers are as follows: If the episode is based on a Railway Series book by the Rev W Awdry, he will be credited as the writer. If the episode is based on a Railway Series book by Christopher Awdry, he will be credited as the writer. If the episode is not based on a Railway Series book, Britt Allcroft and David Mitton will be credited as the writers since they wrote it. From Season 6 the writers are varied. Codename: Kids Next Door

    Follow
    Cartoon Network (ended 2008)
The world is in danger! Only five ten-year-old kids and 1 who loves show are our only hope! Problem: Adults have become tyrants over kids. Solution: five kids decide to change that for themselves and the world. Join these five kids and 1 lover of knd (known by Numbuh 1, Numbuh 2, and so on) as they battle evil ranting (yet determined) grown-ups, candy pirates, their arch Nemesis, the Delightful Children from Down the Lane, their Father, a man of fiery powers and that was once known as "Mr. Wigglestines" and his many minions (such as Numbuh 5's older sister, Cree and ex-operative Numbuh 274, Chad). But they also have to deal with havoc amongst themselves... Characters: Numbuh 1 (Nigel Uno): Numbuh 1 is the bold leader of the group, hands down. With a fear of bugs and hate for the beach, he still can be the ultimate leader (he does have a girlfriend, and skill of thinking up great tactics and defense) and spare some time for an ice cream! He is the second youngest of the Kids Next Door. Numbuh 2 (Hoagie Pennywhistle Gilligan Jr.): With a skilled mind and knowledge of a buhzillion, Numbuh 2 is definitely the master in the building department. Also, with puns and jokes like that, what's not to love? He is the third oldest/youngest (In the middle) of the Kids Next Door. Numbuh 3 (Kuki Sanban): Hugs and Rainbow Monkeys are just as sweet as Numbuh 3 herself! Known as "The Flirt", this Asian does seem to hit the soft spot of most. However, she may be out-of-it at times, but when you mess with something she loves, you have to pay the price with a she-devil. She is the youngest of the Kids Next Door. Numbuh 4 (Wallabee "Wally" Beatles): Yes, his nickname ("The Tough Guy") does serve Numbuh 4 well. He sure has a knack for letting his actions speak, therefore making it easy as to what he's about to do. Though, underneath the hard shell, he has that soft spot (though doesn't show it) for people he cares for most. And some would say the person really up there is a certain happy girl. He is the second oldest of the Kids Next Door. Numbuh 5 (Abigail "Abby" Lincoln): Numbuh 5 would be put in a different crowd from the rest... This laid back girl always keeps her cool, yet sometimes can get a little impatient. All else aside, she is probably the guardian angel of the group, guiding the others, while not getting in the way of everyone's jobs. She is the oldest of the Kids Next Door. Numbuh 86 (Fanny Fulbright): Head of Decommissioning, defeat teenagers and adults, boss some kids around, this girl could do it all. Numbuh 86 is sure not only hardcore, but like Numbuh 4, soft on the inside. She may have a love for Rainbow Monkeys and thinks Numbuh 4 is pretty cute, but don't let that get to you. No matter what, she'll do her duties as decommissioning teens. Lizzie Devine: Lizzie is the infamous girlfriend of Numbuh 1, her Nigie. She was annoying at first, but the team has realized it could be much worse. Lizzie is the over-protetive type of her boyfriend and sometimes, jealous, but, she always is there to help Numbuh 1, even if she has to crash a couple of ships. Tommy Gilligan: Tommy looks up to his brother, Numbuh 2, and wants to be just like him. Of course, his love for his brother matches the amount of how much he annoys everyone... On the upper hand, he would make an excellent operative! If he can, that is... After a battle, he had to sacrifice his own membuhship to defeat the adults. Mushi Sanban: This little girl is almost exactly like her older sister, Numbuh 3. With the cuteness of a bummillion, she can just as easily get guys as her sister, "stealing" her "man", King Sandy. The Delightful Children From Down The Lane: The Delightful Children From Down The Lane are the KND's arch nemisesses. Working for their Father (see below) they are raised (or made) to give and serve the adults. But most kids, however, think they're creepy, for they talk and walk, and do just about everything as one. Father: Probably the most evil guy on the earth to attack the KND. Father is a conniving and scheming grown-up who happens to be the father of the DCFDTL (the Delightfuls'). He is bent on destroying the KND for interrupting his plans on adults ruling the world. However, he is no match for the KND! Cree Lincoln: Numbuh 5's sister, ex-operative Numbuh 11 (the best of her time), and one of Father's top worker is all Cree. She has it all, skills, knowledge, and a very suductive kiss, which Hank (who is Numbuh 2, teenagerized) has experienced first hand, she is an amazing teenager. But that's just it.. she's a teenager, working with the other side. Chad: Like Cree, Chad is an ex-operative (Numbuh 274, who, also, was the best), and he is also working with Father. He, too, has the skills, and the perfect kid--now teen--(in an adult's eyes), but he gets made fun of once in a while... for wearing a bra, which is really BRA (Battle Ready Armor) that can help him beat up any one and change into any one. Numbuh 362 (Unknown real name): She's the girl with the class and everything. Highest ranking, she is like president of the KND. And of course, she is one chick that Numbuh 86 admires. Of course, she tends to be rather annoyed with 86 easily. The Kid: Not much is known about this guy, but he sure makes Numbuh 2 want to beat him at everything, making him...basically, Numbuh 2's rival (even if he had to work with him). It also seems he likes to make other kids want to rival him, because he sure has Numbuh 4 on a knot for having a "fling" with Numbuh 3... Various Villians: Here's where you could start snoring because a long list of people ((Cough-Adults-Cough)) are coming your way! The list includes Mr. Boss (sort of the "Villian Leader", other than Father), The Toilenator (who just tries too hard and yet gets nothing), Sticky Beard (sort of Numbuh 5's rival, due to the candy-stash), The Cat Lady (self-explanatory), The Common Cold, Count Spankulot, and a whole lot more! They just keep on comin'! DNK: The Destructively Nefarious Kids. They're totally the opposite of the KND! Living in the opposite world (which entrance is through Numbuh 4's pool), everything and everyone in there is quite opposite of the KND's world. All the DNK are known as the "negatives" (i.e. Negative Numbuh 1, Negative Numbuh 2, etc.), and their names backwards. Luckily, by the end of the KND's journey to their world, they agreed to a truce that resolved their answers. Although, it makes you wonder if there would be more of the DNK... Rainbow Monkeys: Yes, they may not be characters, but are very important to the KND in many ways. Every girl couldn't live without them, and Numbuh 3 certainly wouldn't have her stuffed-animal filled room. Also, they are just as real as the KND themselves, but only a certain Asian girl would know. The Hamsters: The KND wouldn't, and couldn't sustain themselves with the power from the hamsters! They provide energy (like electricity) and can help with moving big things.moreless

    Nickelodeon (ended 2007)
Welcome to the LazyTown guide at TV.com. A place where you'll wanna stay --- forever!!!

"LazyTown enhances preschoolers' kinesthetic skills and awareness of of healthful behaviors." --- Noggin show benefits description

LazyTown is the laziest town you'll ever visit. Or at least, it would be, if the town grump, Robbie Rotten, had his way. Unfortunately for him, Stephanie, the mayor's vibrant pink-haired niece (played by Broadway's own Julianna Rose Mauriello), has come to LazyTown and she would rather have the kids outdoors playing sports with her than indoors playing video games all the time. She and her uncle enlist the help of Sportacus 10, a superhero with great athletic skills and abilities, who encourages the kids to get out and play, run around, dance or whatever else it takes to get their move on! Soon everyone's out joining Stephanie and Sportacus in all sorts of fun adventures including Stephanie's Uncle Milford (Mayor Meanswell to everyone else); Bessie Busybody, the town gossip; Ziggy, a cheerful kid who loves candy; Stingy, a seven-year-old who sometimes lets jealousy and selfishness get the best of him; Trixie, the smartest of the kids but she's also the most mischievous; and Pixel, an addictive video gamer and technology wiz.

The only one not joining in on the fun is Robbie Rotten who fears that LazyTown is losing it's lazy reputation thanks to Sportacus. So, Robbie sets out to get rid of the blue-clad hero forever, or, at the very least, make him look like a fool. However, it's usually Rotten himself who looks the fool in the end.

This hyper series features creator Magnus Scheving as Sportacus. Magnus, a silver medalist in the World Championships in aerobics and two-time European Champion in aerobics, is not only the star, writer and director of show, he's also the CEO, creator and co-founder of LazyTown Entertainment. LazyTown Entertainment was a company created in 1995 to promote healthy life for children through videos, books, games, sporting goods and much more. Nick Jr. turned to Magnus and LazyTown Entertainment to create a new series for the network and what they came up with was the energetic and colorful LazyTown. The show features CGI, puppetry and animatronic work from award winning members of The Jim Henson Company in New York, The Creature Shop in London and the Neal Scanlan Studio in London whose combined credits range from family fare like Babe, 101 Dalmatians and The Witches to more adult fare such the Academy Award winning The English Patient. The show consists of a cast and crew from both America and Iceland and the program is now a massive success in both countries.

    Character Guide:

Stephanie - Stephanie is the niece of Mayor Milford Meanswell. She is a pink-haired girl performed by Julianna Rose Mauriello and is one of only three characters on the show represented in human form. Stephanie is an athletic dancer and enjoys games of all sorts. She is generally sociable and has made friends with all of the kids in LazyTown.

Sportacus - Sportacus is a superhero from the north. Summoned by Stephanie with the help of her uncle, the Sportacus seen on the program is known as Sportacus 10, although there have been others in the past. Performed by show creator Magnús Scheving , Sportacus is generally only referred to as "Sportacus 10" in early episodes. Sportacus lives in a large airship that flies above LazyTown. His airship includes a number of useful gadgets, including a smaller version of the ship itself known as the "sky chaser." Sportacus is known for amazing superhero moves, including flipping and jumping. Sportacus eats only healthy foods and gets to sleep at 8:08 P.M. each night. He wears a crystal on his chest that sounds an alert whenever someone in town is in trouble.

Robbie Rotten - The show's "villain," Robbie is a nemesis straight from the old-school. Performed by Stefán Karl Stefánsson, Robbie enjoys dressing up in disguises, laughing meanly and hatching sinister schemes. Robbie is incredibly lazy, but will expend surprising amounts of energy in his quest to keep the kids of town lazy and rid the town of Sportacus forever!!! Robbie's plans often succeed on a temporary basis, but are generally quickly unraveled. He has been described by the kids as a "big softie." Robbie loves sleeping and he also is fond of eating cake. Whereas Sportacus oversees the town from above, Robbie lurks in an underground lair. He uses extendable binoculars planted throughout the town to spy on the inhabitants. Though often reclusive and antisocial, Robbie sometimes feels the need to be included in the town's activities and becomes indignant when he is left out. He also often talks to himself and sings songs about his plots.

Mayor Milford Meanswell - Stephanie's uncle and one of several puppet characters on the program. Performed by David Matthew Feldman, Meanswell, generally "means well" for the town, but isn't always a very effective mayor. He can be indecisive at times and often seems willing to go along with Robbie when he dresses up as an authority figure. Meanswell is fond of Miss Busybody and will do anything to get on her good side.

Miss Bessie Busybody - Miss Busybody generally does not like children very much, but also largely keeps to herself. She can be very demanding at times, but Mayor Meanswell seems to dote on her.

Ziggy - Stephanie's best friend, along with Trixie. Ziggy is a generally hyper boy who loves candy. He is learning a lot about healthy habits from Sportacus. Ziggy can be bold and daring at times and often dreams of being a superhero. Ziggy is sometimes known to fib. He is generally a good friend to Stephanie and will often support her when nobody else will.

Trixie - Stephanie manages to get over Trixie's initial meanness and become friends with her. Trixie often refers to Stephanie as "Pinky." She is rather sporty too, but also sometimes enjoys doing "girly" things.

Pixel - Pixel is a wizard when it comes to computers and electronics. Pixel is learning to enjoy outdoor sports and fun, but brings his own unique twist to them. Pixel fits in well with the group of kids, despite his tendency to sometimes play too long on his computer.

Stingy - True to his name, Stingy is somewhat greedy and selfish. This doesn't stop him, however, from being friends with the other LazyTown kids. Stephanie and the others are helping him to see that sometimes sharing and playing with friends is better. Because of his selfish nature, Stingy is sometimes an easy target for Robbie's schemes. Stingy is rather musical and plays the harmonica and other instruments.

    Show Theme:

Welcome to LazyTown A place where you'll wanna stay You'll meet Robbie with his rotten plan. And Sportacus saving the day. Stephanie is new in town And soon she and Ziggy are friends. With Pixel, Stingy, and Trixie too They're gonna have a blast together

Go, go, go get up LazyTown It's a start of a brand new day Things are upside down here in LazyTown. Adventure's just a moment away.

LazyTown was a part of Nick Jr.'s programming lineup, but has now come to an end. If you live in the United States and want to be able to see LazyTown every day, tune into the Noggin network --- available on most cable and satellite providers as part of higher-tier programming packages or for an additional cost. Noggin, unfortunately, generally only airs episodes from the first season of the program. Don't live in the United States? LazyTown airs on CBeebies and Nick Jr. in the U.K. Check listings in all areas to find out when you can catch the program, as airtimes are variable and may change with little notice.

Looking for more ways to interact with the show? You can now find the program available on several DVDs, featuring bonus music videos. LazyTown toys and other merchandise are also now available.

LazyTown once aired on weekends on CBS, but is no longer a part of the programming lineup, as CBS has replaced weekend Nick Jr. airings with "KOL's Saturday Morning Slumber Party," featuring mainly DiC programming.moreless
