Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman was a show that focused on Dr. Mike, a woman doctor in a time when that was unheard of. It started with her journey to Colorado Springs to be the town's physician after her father's death in 1868. The show focused around the town that she loved, treated and it also focused on the three children, Matthew (Chad Allen), Colleen (Erika Flores, later Jessica Bowman) and Brian Cooper (Shawn Toovey), whom she had to raise after their mother died from a rattle snake bite. In the later years, the show focused on Dr. Mike and Sully (Joe Lando) who got married and had a daughter towards the end of the shows successful run. There have been two movies made for television, and fans are gathering together in an effort that a third Dr. Quinn movie be produced.moreless

Popular film and television star Damon Wayans stars as Michael Kyle, a loving husband and modern-day patriarch who rules his household with a unique and distinct parenting style. As he teaches his three children some of life's lessons, he does so with his own brand of wisdom, discipline and humor.

Now that Jr. and his girlfriend, Vanessa, are parents of a baby boy, Michael and his loving wife, Jay, are proud but young grandparents, and are adjusting to their new roles. Not only are they trying to help their son become a responsible father, but they want to help the teenaged couple make some important decisions in their lives. They all seem to have their own opinion when it comes to answering such questions like: Should the new parents continue to live in the Kyle garage? Should they get engaged or married? Will the new baby make Jr., who is terrified in his role as a new dad, act any smarter?

While trying to turn his son into a man, Michael begins to look at where his own life has taken him and wonders if he should make some changes. Jay, who also starts to question her purpose in life, pursues her educational goals and, along the way, decides to open a restaurant. Meanwhile, oldest daughter Claire's relationship with Tony, the odd and oddly endearing bible thumper, has endured. Claire is now a high school senior and is more than ready to do all the things that come along with that special time in life.

Little Kady feels a bit threatened by the new baby's presence, and her family is there to help her get over any insecurities. She continues her friendship with the young piano virtuoso, Franklin, who often complicates Michael's life. The boy sensed an opening in the family with Jr.'s impending graduation into adulthood, and Franklin is still trying to weasel his way into becoming the "good new son."

Michael can only hope his parental advice, mixed with witty humor, will steer his children to act responsibly. Through it all, Jr., Claire and Kady know they can turn to their father when they need his guidance. Sometimes it seems as though, even without their asking, Dad knows ahead of time what they might need, and he's only too happy to provide direction -- often to their chagrin.

Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, based on the popular computer game, was first seen in September of 1991 and became one of the most popular kids' game shows of all time. The series aired on PBS, probably the best place to reach it's target audience. Like the computer game, the game show's basic purpose was to ultimatly capture the head of an international crime syndicate. In this case, the head was Carmen Sandiego and in each episode she would send one of her henchmen out to steal a national landmark. The contestants job was to use their knowledge of geography to track each criminal from country to country and city to city with the goal of capturing the henchman, restoring the landmark to it's home, and whom ever got enough points would have the chance to capture Carmen. The game show was hosted by Greg Lee and the contestants were given orders from The Chief, played by Lynne Thigpen, who ran the ACME Detective Agency. Rockapella was the singing group that sang the popular theme song and helped give the contestants clues. The V.I.L.E. Henchmen Carmen's henchman consisted of Vic the Slick, The Contessa, Robocrook, Top Grunge, Eartha Brute, Patty Larceny and Double Trouble. The Contessa left at the end of the 1st season and returned in the 4th season with a new look. At the beginning of the second season, Kneemoi and Wonder Rat joined the ranks of the other henchman, followed by Sarah Nade in the 3rd Season. In 1996, the original format of the series came to an end. That fall, the series was redesigned and renamed Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?

    The Flintstones

    Follow
    ABC (ended 1966)
The Flintstones was a parody on modern suburban life, set in the Stone Age. The characters in the cartoon series all behaved and spoke in a contemporary manner, though they lived in the prehistoric city of Bedrock. Fred worked as operator of a dinosaur-powered crane at Rock Hard & Quarry Cave Construction Co. (slogan: "Own Your Own Cave and Be Secure"). Around their split-level cave the Flintstones enjoyed such conveniences as Wilma's Stoneway piano, a hi-fi on which Fred could play his "rock" music (it consisted of a turntable and a bird with a long beak to serve as a needle), a vacuum cleaner (a baby elephant with a long trunk), and an automatic garbage disposal unit (a famished buzzard stashed under the sink). Their car, which sported tail fins, also came equipped with steamroller wheels--to smooth out the rocky road. Then one day in 1963 they were blessed with a baby daughter, whom they named Pebbles. Not to be outdone, their neighbors the Rubbles adopted an orphan boy named Bamm-Bamm. (The two kids later had a Saturday morning cartoon series of their own, Pebbles and Bamm Bamm.) The Flintstones was always as much adult satire as children's fun. In many respects it resembled Jackie Gleason's popular Honeymooners, especially in the relationships of the principals. A wide range of caricatures passed through the stories: Lollobrickida, a pretty cook; Ann-Margrock, whose voice was supplied by Ann-Margret; attorney Perry Masonry (he never lost a case); Ed Sullystone, a TV host; Eppy Brianstone, a teenage impresario; and Weirdly and Creepella Gruesome, the strange couple who with their son Goblin moved into a cave nearby (this was a parody on The Addams Family and The Munsters, then popular). The Gruesomes thought that they were normal, and everyone else in Bedrock was odd. The Flintstones and its spin-offs had a highly successful run on Saturday mornings--on NBC from January 1967-September 1970, on CBS from September 1972-January 1974, back on NBC from February 1979-September 1984, and on ABC with The Flintstone Kids from September 1986-September 1989. This series has also many movies and specials (about 10 specials). Some of them are:"A Flintstones Christmas Carol", a Flintstones version of the famous Charles Dickens book, "A Flintstones Christmas" where Fred replaces Santa Claus (Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm are speaking now), "I Yabba Dabba Do" where Pebbles and Bamm Bamm are grown up and get married, and "Holly-Rock-a-bye Baby" where Pebbles gives birth.moreless

Clifford the Big Red Dog is a fun show aimed towards younger audiences. Clifford, a 20 foot tall red dog, plays with his dog friends, Cleo and T-Bone, and has great adventures with them. Clifford's best friend, however, is Emily Elizabeth Howard, his owner. Emily has friends of her own and all the characters live peacefully on Birdwell Island. Each Clifford the Big Red Dog episode consists of two stories, linked by a "Speckle Story," a story read to Clifford by Emily Elizabeth about the adventures of a dog named Speckle. At the end of each episode is a "big idea" presented by Clifford, followed by a short promotional spot for one of the characters on Clifford. Please note that some online guides list two big ideas for each episode. The "big idea" listed in this guide will always be only the one that actually airs at the end of the episode itself. Also included is a short segment featuring a real kid with his/her dog. However, most, if not all, PBS stations no longer show this segment. These segments are available for viewing on Clifford DVDs. Production of Clifford The Big Red Dog officially ended when John Ritter returned to ABC primetime in the fall of 2002, as the star of 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. The final seven Clifford the Big Red Dog shows aired on PBS in February 2003, and the production of episodes was discontinued to make way for the spinoff show, described below. However, there are indications that some produced episodes haven't yet aired, so keep an eye out! Brach's recently announced a special mail-order video and there could be more coming. With John Ritter's unfortunate passing the following September, there are no plans for new production. Repeats continue on every weekday except Wednesday on most PBS stations. There is also a movie, "Clifford's Really Big Movie", which is now out on DVD and video. Clifford the Big Red Dog is so popular that it now has a spinoff! The toons are constantly terrorized by Dizzy Devil, a purple version of Taz; Elmyra Duff, a dangerously childish, animal loving freak of nature which makes any animal who comes near her run; and lastly, we have rich kid Montana Max, who goes by the philosophy that rich people never pay and hates everyone and everything. The toons get their vast cartoon smarts from the Acme Looniversity school, with the famous Warner Bros. cartoon stars as teachers. The school also had a rival as well, Perfecto Prep., a school with a reputation of cheating characters. Tiny Toon Adventures was a treasure trove of pop-culture cliches and paid homage to many of the classic Warner Bros. cartoons of yore.

Toon Lizzie- Lizzie's alter ego, Toon Lizzie tells us what Lizzie is really thinking but is to afraid to say. Her sassy and sharp-tongued attitude is a contrast to everything Lizzie isn't. If only Lizzie was brave to tell it like Toon Lizzie, things would be very interesting.

What are the lyrics to the theme song? If you believe We've got a picture-perfect plan We've got you fooled 'Cause we only do the best we can And sometimes we make it And sometimes we fake it But we get one step closer each and every day We'll we figure it out on the way

The extended version has these lines: If you only knew all of the notions in my head you'd understand why some days I can't get out of bed Are we winning or losing it's just so confusing but we get one step closer each and every day till we figure it out on the way It might surprise you the stuff we're wise to the things that we can open up our eyes to

Who sings the theme song? According to Maria Kleinman of Walt Disney Records, Angie Jaree, a studio singer, is the person who performs the theme song. While Elliot Lurie, the show's music supervisor, wrote the song.

    Dora the Explorer

    Dora the Explorer

    Follow
    Nickelodeon
Dora the Explorer features the adventures of Dora, her monkey Boots, her Backpack and many other animated characters. In each episode, viewers help her to go an adventure in an animated world set inside a computer.

The third season of the program kicked off with "Dora's Star-Catching Adventure," introducing a new concept in which viewers interact with the show by searching for explorer-stars in each episode. A number of episodes are available in book form and on commercial video/DVD, including a couple direct-to-video releases. There are also a number of episodes and movies produced, but still unaired.

Dora the Explorer is currently in repeats on Nick Jr. and Noggin. Noggin airs the program every day including weekends at 3 and 4 P.M., but only shows first-season episodes. Nick Jr. shows episodes weekdays at 10 A.M., 11 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. and also occasionally organizes special showings in a marathon format. All repeats tend to be in a random order and all times listed are eastern.
