Puff - A meta-human bounty hunter. She can breathe any kind of gas (acid or knock-out) from her mouth and also turn her legs into steam to fly. Onyx - Puff's sidekick in the show. He's a rock monster with super strength. Carmen Dillo - A humanoid armadillo who could roll up into a ball and launch himself as a projectile. Kangor - The leader of the Ruffpack with feet big enough to deliver powerful kicks and shake the ground. Sometimes works with Ebon. Ferret - Member of the Ruffpack who has a snout that can smell anything. He can also scale buildings. Omnifarious - Edwin Alva Jr. can use his meta gas and control it to have any power he wants. He probably could have found a cure if things hadn't been ruined with his dad. Saban's VR Troopers was the first official "sister series" to the most popular "action fighting kid show" at the time,Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Much like it, this was an Americanization of a Japanese special effects children's program by Toei Company LTD. The show focused on three young adults in their late teens, Ryan Steele, Kaitlin Star, and J.B. Reese, living in the West Coast town of Cross World City. They regularly attended and were teachers at "Tao's Dojo", a karate studio (Ryan was the most focused martial artist, J.B. was the computer wizard, while Kaitlin was a photographer/budding reporter for the local newspaper, the Underground Voice Daily). One day, Ryan's search for his long missing father led him and his two friends to a strange laboratory. Inside, a digitized head of Ryan's father's friend, Professor Hart, explaind the truth about his life's work, having developed extremely advanced virtual reality technology in secret. VR is in actuality a dimension existing alongside our own, and within it lie mutants and monsters bent on conquering both worlds. The main ruler of them is a creature known as Grimlord, who, unbeknowst to anyone on Earth, has a human identity as billionaire industrialist Karl Ziktor. As he tries to break down the barriers of the true reality to allow his armies easy passage from virtual world, it's now up to Ryan, Kaitlin, and J.B. to defend the planet from both sides of the dimensional barrier. Luckily, they've got assistance, in the form of armored bodies with incredible firepower. This included eventual additions to their arsneal, such as a Turbo Cycle, Techno Bazooka, and a flying, laser-blasting Skybase! Other regular characters on the show included Jeb, Ryan's hound dog, who, after an accident in Prof. Hart's lab, is now capable of speech (and sounds like Jack Nicholson); Woody Stocker, Kaitlin's wacky hat-loving boss at the Underground Voice Daily; Percy Rooney, Kaitlin's bumbling rival reporter at the paper (and nephew of the mayor); and Tao, the wise martial arts sensei who owns the dojo. Recurring villains include General Ivar, a vicious rocket-shaped monster with his own tank; Colonel Icebot, a cold blooded virtual menace; Decimator, a sword-wielding warrior; the Skugs, gold headed foot soldiers, and more throughout. During the second season, the show changed format very slightly. Ryan's father was finally found, though he wouldn't remain safe for long. With him, came an upgrade to Ryan's V.R. armor. Grimlord switched from working in a dungeon to a massive spacecraft, and added new Generals such as DoomMaster (and his Vixens), Oraclon, and Despera. The Skugs now had the ability to become more powerful in the form of Ultra-Skugs! During the first season, footage of V.R. Ryan came from the 1987 Toei Metal Hero series, "Chou Jinki Metarudaar" (Super Man Machine Metalder). During the second season, V.R. Ryan's new form and villains came from the 1984 Toei series "Uchuu Keiji Shaidaa" (Space Sheriff Shaider. Both seasons. V.R. J.B. and V.R. Kaitlin's footage came from the 1986 Toei Metal Hero series "Jikuu Senshi Supiruban" (Dimension Warrior Spielban). Original footage was more common in the second season than the first. Saban's VR Troopers was a co-production of: Toei Company, LTD. and Cyberprod, Inc. LazyTown is the laziest town you'll ever visit. Or at least, it would be, if the town grump, Robbie Rotten, had his way. Unfortunately for him, Stephanie, the mayor's vibrant pink-haired niece (played by Broadway's own Julianna Rose Mauriello), has come to LazyTown and she would rather have the kids outdoors playing sports with her than indoors playing video games all the time. She and her uncle enlist the help of Sportacus 10, a superhero with great athletic skills and abilities, who encourages the kids to get out and play, run around, dance or whatever else it takes to get their move on! Soon everyone's out joining Stephanie and Sportacus in all sorts of fun adventures including Stephanie's Uncle Milford (Mayor Meanswell to everyone else); Bessie Busybody, the town gossip; Ziggy, a cheerful kid who loves candy; Stingy, a seven-year-old who sometimes lets jealousy and selfishness get the best of him; Trixie, the smartest of the kids but she's also the most mischievous; and Pixel, an addictive video gamer and technology wiz.

The only one not joining in on the fun is Robbie Rotten who fears that LazyTown is losing it's lazy reputation thanks to Sportacus. So, Robbie sets out to get rid of the blue-clad hero forever, or, at the very least, make him look like a fool. However, it's usually Rotten himself who looks the fool in the end.

This hyper series features creator Magnus Scheving as Sportacus. Magnus, a silver medalist in the World Championships in aerobics and two-time European Champion in aerobics, is not only the star, writer and director of show, he's also the CEO, creator and co-founder of LazyTown Entertainment. LazyTown Entertainment was a company created in 1995 to promote healthy life for children through videos, books, games, sporting goods and much more. Nick Jr. turned to Magnus and LazyTown Entertainment to create a new series for the network and what they came up with was the energetic and colorful LazyTown. The show features CGI, puppetry and animatronic work from award winning members of The Jim Henson Company in New York, The Creature Shop in London and the Neal Scanlan Studio in London whose combined credits range from family fare like Babe, 101 Dalmatians and The Witches to more adult fare such the Academy Award winning The English Patient. The show consists of a cast and crew from both America and Iceland and the program is now a massive success in both countries.

Character Guide:

Stephanie - Stephanie is the niece of Mayor Milford Meanswell. She is a pink-haired girl performed by Julianna Rose Mauriello and is one of only three characters on the show represented in human form. Stephanie is an athletic dancer and enjoys games of all sorts. She is generally sociable and has made friends with all of the kids in LazyTown.

Sportacus - Sportacus is a superhero from the north. Summoned by Stephanie with the help of her uncle, the Sportacus seen on the program is known as Sportacus 10, although there have been others in the past. Performed by show creator Magnús Scheving , Sportacus is generally only referred to as "Sportacus 10" in early episodes. Sportacus lives in a large airship that flies above LazyTown. His airship includes a number of useful gadgets, including a smaller version of the ship itself known as the "sky chaser." Sportacus is known for amazing superhero moves, including flipping and jumping. Sportacus eats only healthy foods and gets to sleep at 8:08 P.M. each night. He wears a crystal on his chest that sounds an alert whenever someone in town is in trouble.

Robbie Rotten - The show's "villain," Robbie is a nemesis straight from the old-school. Performed by Stefán Karl Stefánsson, Robbie enjoys dressing up in disguises, laughing meanly and hatching sinister schemes. Robbie is incredibly lazy, but will expend surprising amounts of energy in his quest to keep the kids of town lazy and rid the town of Sportacus forever!!! Robbie's plans often succeed on a temporary basis, but are generally quickly unraveled. He has been described by the kids as a "big softie." Robbie loves sleeping and he also is fond of eating cake. Whereas Sportacus oversees the town from above, Robbie lurks in an underground lair. He uses extendable binoculars planted throughout the town to spy on the inhabitants. Though often reclusive and antisocial, Robbie sometimes feels the need to be included in the town's activities and becomes indignant when he is left out. He also often talks to himself and sings songs about his plots.

Mayor Milford Meanswell - Stephanie's uncle and one of several puppet characters on the program. Performed by David Matthew Feldman, Meanswell, generally "means well" for the town, but isn't always a very effective mayor. He can be indecisive at times and often seems willing to go along with Robbie when he dresses up as an authority figure. Meanswell is fond of Miss Busybody and will do anything to get on her good side.

Miss Bessie Busybody - Miss Busybody generally does not like children very much, but also largely keeps to herself. She can be very demanding at times, but Mayor Meanswell seems to dote on her.

Ziggy - Stephanie's best friend, along with Trixie. Ziggy is a generally hyper boy who loves candy. He is learning a lot about healthy habits from Sportacus. Ziggy can be bold and daring at times and often dreams of being a superhero. Ziggy is sometimes known to fib. He is generally a good friend to Stephanie and will often support her when nobody else will.

Trixie - Stephanie manages to get over Trixie's initial meanness and become friends with her. Trixie often refers to Stephanie as "Pinky." She is rather sporty too, but also sometimes enjoys doing "girly" things.

Pixel - Pixel is a wizard when it comes to computers and electronics. Pixel is learning to enjoy outdoor sports and fun, but brings his own unique twist to them. Pixel fits in well with the group of kids, despite his tendency to sometimes play too long on his computer.

Stingy - True to his name, Stingy is somewhat greedy and selfish. This doesn't stop him, however, from being friends with the other LazyTown kids. Stephanie and the others are helping him to see that sometimes sharing and playing with friends is better. Because of his selfish nature, Stingy is sometimes an easy target for Robbie's schemes. Stingy is rather musical and plays the harmonica and other instruments.

Tiny Toon Adventures

Tiny Toon Adventures is basically a kid-version of the classic Warner Bros. cartoon stars and their cartoons. This show is hosted by Buster and Babs Bunny (No relation!) and their friends Plucky Duck, an egotistical power crazy duck much like Daffy Duck, and Hamton Pig, a shy, kind-hearted pig with low self-esteem but just like Porky Pig, but is a Neat Freak. The toons are constantly terrorized by Dizzy Devil, a purple version of Taz; Elmyra Duff, a dangerously childish, animal loving freak of nature which makes any animal who comes near her run; and lastly, we have rich kid Montana Max, who goes by the philosophy that rich people never pay and hates everyone and everything. The toons get their vast cartoon smarts from the Acme Looniversity school, with the famous Warner Bros. cartoon stars as teachers. The school also had a rival as well, Perfecto Prep., a school with a reputation of cheating characters. The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh was a charming animated series that captured both kids and their parents with all-new outings featuring Pooh and the whole gang in the 100 Acre Wood. The world-famous bear, created by British author, A.A. Milne. He is joined by his young master, Christopher Robin. The ever-bouncy Tigger. The glum donkey, Eeyore. The incurable know-it-all, Rabbit. The always-confused Owl. The squeaky Piglet and the mother and son team of Kanga and Roo. Featuring quality animation along with original songs and scores, this series preserves the touching emotional qualities and "not just for kids" humor of the original Winnie the Pooh books. The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh was part of what many consider Disney's "Golden Age," meaning the studio had quality writers, characters, theme songs, etc. Some other shows during this time were Gummi Bears, Talespin, Ducktales, and Darkwing Duck Characters Winnie the Pooh: Winnie the Pooh is the fun-loving bear. He is very caring and concerned about all of his friends. Pooh is friends with everyone in the Hundred Acre Woods. Some of his very good companions are Christopher Robin and Piglet. Pooh also loves honey. Piglet: Piglet is the small Piglet with big hopes. He believes that even though he isn't very big, he can do what his friends do. When they all go on adventures, Piglet is a little frightened, but he goes anyway because he is a such a good friend and will try to overcome his fears. Rabbit: Rabbit can be a bit serious sometimes. He loves to plant gardens that are always eaten by some crows and accidentally bounced on by Tigger. Rabbit builds scarecrows to get rid of the crows, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. He can give some good advice to his friends. Eeyore: Eeyore is the slow-moving donkey. He tries over and over to build his houses, but someone may bounce or fall on it. Other times the wind blows it down or the weather. He always has his friends to help him rebuild it though. Eeyore also has a tail that is pinned on that happens to fall off occasionally. Tigger: Tigger loves to bounce, he tries to bounce higher each time. His bouncing can break things if it gets a big wild. One of his good friends is Roo, he taught him about bouncing and its fun. Kanga: Kanga is Roo's mother. She is very nice to everyone in the Hundred Acre Woods. Kanga is always helping others, or offering some snacks that she may have baked. Roo: Roo's mother is Kanga. He likes to bounce like Tigger. When his friends come around, he usually comes along with them. He was very happy when he moved to the Hundred Acre Woods. One of his best friends is Tigger. Christopher Robin: Christopher Robin is a very nice, young boy. He likes taking his friends on adventures. When they may have a problem with something, he usually figures it out or helps them. He is very good friends with Pooh. Disney Channel's hit series, Phil of the Future, tells the story of the Diffy family, a futuristic family from the year 2121. When the eccentric dad, Lloyd, rents a time machine for their family vacation, everyone is excited. But then something goes wrong. Their time machine malfunctions and they are thrown out of the space/time continuim in the year 2004. The time machine has broken, and Lloyd is having trouble fixing it, so he, his part-robotic wife Barbara, and his kids: fifteen-year-old Phil Diffy (Ricky Ullman) and his thirteen-year-old daughter Pim, the little menace of the family, are forced to live in the past and pretend to be a normal family in the suburban town of Pickford. The only person who knows their secret is Keely Teslow, Phil's best friend. Together they deal with the things that every teenager in 2004 must deal with: school, bullies, significant others, crushes, homework...and then add the Diffys' habit of getting into trouble by using their futuristic gadgets, such as the Wizrd, the Insta-Morph, Skyaks, the DNA Scramber, and much more.

Phil of the Future has quickly become one of Disney Channel's most popular new shows, and is quickly following in the footsteps of their hit shows Lizzie McGuire and That's So Raven. As of October 2004, the show was #1 in its slot among tweens and kids, with roughly four million viewers total per episode.

Ricky Ullman, (Pixel Perfect) Plays Phil Diffy, And Amy Bruckner, (American Dragon: Jake Long) Plays Pim Diffy. Douglas Tuber (Lizzie McGuire) is creator and executive producer of the series. Tom Burkhard and Matt Dearborn (Even Stevens) and Tim O'Donnell (Clueless) are executive producers.

Based on the highly popular comic strip by Jim Davis, Garfield and Friends was considered the best long-running cartoon on CBS. This Saturday morning series featured the adventures of that lovable, hungry fat cat Garfield, his yellow dog friend Odie, and their cartoonist bachelor master Jon Arbuckle. Garfield cartoons shared the spot with a new cartoon series created for this series called U.S. Acres (also based on a comic strip by Jim Davis). U.S. Acres was a cartoon about a group of barnyard animals who run a farm. The leader was Orson Pig, the bookish and perceptive pig. His friends had many different qualities: Wade Duck was the scaredy-cat duck who runs away from everything, no kidding; Booker was a crafty little chick whose main goal was to chase a worm, and his brother Sheldon was nothing more than an egg with two legs sticking out; Roy Rooster was the practical joking rooster who puts everyone in trouble with his jokes; and two sheep, Bo and Lanolin, were always bickering with each other about nearly everything. Bo being a nice guy and Lanolin a cruel girl. Each episode, they had to protect the farm from Orson's big bad brothers and a crafty weasel. Before this series, Garfield cartoons were shown as yearly specials on CBS, and the specials were so great that CBS decided to turn Garfield into a cartoon series. In the first season, each 30-minute episode was packed with three 8-minute shorts, two Garfield shorts and one U.S. Acres short. In the second season, Garfield and Friends expanded to an hour, consisting of four Garfield cartoons and two U.S. Acres cartoons. It remained at this format until the show ended in 1994. 'Garfield:The Movie' was released on June 11,2004 & so far has made over $75 million at the box office. Thanks to the success of the movie, 20th Century Fox is now working on a CGI/live action movie version of 'Alvin & The Chipmunks' & coming to theathers on December 25th is 'Fat Albert', which is of course a live action version of the classic 1974-1984 cartoon 'Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids'. The exciting backdrop of high school tennis serves as the setting for the sports drama and coming-of-age story, The Prince of Tennis, or Tennis no Ōjisama (テニスの王子様). From creator Takeshi Konomi, the manga and anime depict the life and adventures of Ryoma Echizen, both on the court and off of it. The series has becomes one of the most popular manga and anime titles to hit Japan. In Japan, the manga is published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump (and is still ongoing), and in North America (and in English), it is published by VIZ Media as a Shonen Jump graphic novel series.

The anime aired its final episode in 2005 on TV Tokyo in Japan. On this side of the hemisphere, The Prince of Tennis anime series is slated to air on Cartoon Network's new online broadband service called Toonami Jetstream on July 17 2006.
