Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Glenn Beck became even more visible in 2006 with his first television commentary show, CNN's Glenn Beck, which was at the time, the fastest growing TV talk show on cable. In 2009, Beck's show moved over to the Fox News Channel. Getting his start in radio after winning a contest to be a DJ for an hour, Beck began his talk show career at Tampa, Florida's 970 WFLA-AM, going to the number one slot in less than a year. The Glenn Beck Program radio show is syndicated through the Premiere Radio Network on over 300 radio stations as well as XM Satellite Radio, making it the third highest rated national radio talk show with adults 25 to 54. A recovering alcoholic, Beck shares his triumphs, struggles, and discoveries on the shows and isn't afraid of controversy. Debuting May 8, 2006, Glenn Beck, the television show, doubled CNN's viewers during the time period and became one of the network's most popular shows. But being the only conservative voice on the ultra-liberal cable channel proved to be too much for CNN and the show moved to the more politically centered Fox News Channel in 2009. Featuring witty responses to current events in a conservative light, Glenn Beck was a news entertainment show for "those who cannot stand to watch the news anymore." After lots of pressure from the left, and a dispute with FOX News chief, The Glenn Beck Program left FOX June 30, 2011.moreless

Sunrise screens weekdays between 6am-9am with Kochie and Mel tackling the issues that matter and aiming to give viewers a voice by using talkback television. Like talkback radio, viewers will set the news agenda of the day by getting their point straight to air by email, SMS or conventional mail. Some of the issues raised are written on a whiteboard on set - the ROSwall (Responses of Sunrisers) - then Kochie and Mel chase the story and seek appropriate action on behalf of the audience. In this era of breaking news, Sunrise uses a constant news and weather ticker to report the latest headlines. In a first for commercial television in Australia, the ticker runs news headlines from across the world across the bottom of the screen for a constant three hours. Sunrise has a stable of regular guests unlike any other news program on television. All are experts in their field. The line-up includes Foreign Affairs Editor Dr Keith Suter, Medical Editor Dr John D'Arcy and Sunrise Vet Rachele Lowe. Sunrise's mission is to deliver a balanced breakfast. News and information combined with entertainment and humour. It's the perfect way to start your day.moreless

Welcome to the Subterranean guide at TV.com! Subterranean is a weekly music video show that airs on MTV2 every Sunday/Monday at 10 pm (PT)/1 AM (ET). The show originally premiered on MTV2 in May 2003, following the cancellation of MTV's previous alternative music video show, 120 Minutes. The scope and style of Subterranean is much similar to 120 Minutes, as it features a variety of alternative music artists popular in music today, as well as those popular in the '80s, '90s, and early '00s. The host, Jim Shearer, invites a special guest each week to the show, conducting interviews with the artists while featuring their new videos and new releases. The spirit of 120 Minutes is carried on through Subterranean, by featuring the latest and greatest alternative music artists while maintaining its status as a reliable source of up-and-coming music in the alternative genre. As of March 2007, MTV2 is airing Subterranean without a host or special guests, making the current format simply a video playlist.moreless
