Has a penchant for petty theft, cheating and pornography. A true blue professional captain. Also part owner and captain of said vessel. Darph Bobo: The manic, stupid and utterly hateful Vader-spoof. Has the same homicidal tendencies as his Sith alter-ego, albeit more random in his delivery of punishment. Chode's arch-nemesis. Gus: Gus functions s both the ship's engineer and Chode's personal whipping boy. He has somewhat queer manners, which the other characters seem to find offensive. Bigots, all of them. Six: Six of One was liberated from the Federation by Chode. Somehow the debt held by Six has turned towards "love" for Chode. Six is not wholly disgusted with Chode's disgusting habits. Love has flourished on worse foundations... Has received programming beyond just being a love slave, and is the Jupiter 42's scientific officer. T'nuk: The ugly feminist. Wow. That was redundant. Actually she is not the perfect feminist, as she has an overactive libido and loves the rooster (What's another word for rooster?). Not a positive thing in a four-legged alien. Also the co-owner of the Jupiter 42 and thus the prime rival of Chode. Whip: Chode's dumb nephew. Half-witted is too positive, as Whip is a hormonally disturbed teen. Welcome to puberty and space. Bob: The ship's onboard computer. Neurotic. Not exactly good for anything except for whining. Oh. And drinking. Do not travel in space with a neurotic drunkard as your navigator/AI. Bad idea.moreless

Now and Again premiered on CBS television in September 1999 and focused on what would happen if a dead man's brain were removed and placed in a body with superhuman strength and mental powers. Michael Wiseman, now Michael Newman, was drafted to assist a government scientist on a variety of projects. Michael's refusal to give up his family from his "past life," however, proved more difficult to contend with than any in the government could ever have guessed.

Build a man with the speed of Michael Jordan, the strength of Superman and the grace of Fred Astaire. A guy who's going to look good, be young, be omnipotent. Wild, huh?

The Six Million Dollar Man for the new millennium maybe? It could have been. It featured a unique concept and a strong cast, many of which now appear in various popular series. but a massive audience never really caught on for the program. Though the program had a strong cult following and many efforts were made to revive it and have it released on DVD. As of 2006, however, no DVD set is available.

All said and done, this was a series that likely should have done better than it did. It was funny, with great action scenes and compelling emotional plots. It also featured a strong cliffhanger ending, one which there will likely never be a resolution to.

Where Have They Been and Where Are They Now?

Now and Again featured a strong cast that now appear in many hit television series.

Eric Close - Michael New/Wiseman - Close can now be seen as Agent Martin Fitzgerald in another CBS program, the hit procedural drama Without a Trace.

Dennis Haysbert - Dr. Theodore Morris - Haysbert enjoyed great success as President David Palmer on FOX's 24. He also appeared in a series of commercials for All State Insurance and now stars as Jonas Blane on CBS's The Unit.

Gerrit Graham - Roger Bender - Graham appeared as Q/Quinn in Star Trek: Voyager. After being largely inactive in television for a few years, he returned with a guest stint on Law and Order. He also recently performed the character Mr. John Willoughby in the film Stick it in Detroit.

Margaret Colin - Lisa Wiseman - Colin's most recent television work was a guest stint on Law and Order: Criminal Intent.

Heather Matarazzo - Heather Wiseman - Now starring on the series The Rules: A Lesbian Survival Guide. Also appeared as Lilly Moscovitz in both Princess Diaries films.

Jonny Quest: The Real Adventures is based on the series from the sixties (this series is now known as Classic Jonny Quest) and the series from the eighties (known as The New Adventures of Jonny Quest. The series from the sixties was created by Doug Wildey and produced by Hanna-Barbera, Inc. The New Adventures of Jonny Quest were created to complete the fourth half-hour of the syndicated Sunday line-up, The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera. In Jonny Quest: The Real Adventures Jessie Bannon, the daughter of Race, appears for the first time and she takes an important role in this series. The Story 14-year-old Jonny Quest invariably finds adventure in exotic locations around the world with his father, renowned scientist/explorer Dr Benton Quest. They are accompanied by Benton's adopted son and assistant, Hadji; Dr Quest's personal bodyguard, Race Bannon; and Jessie Bannon, Race's teenage daughter. And, of course, Jonny's faithful dog Bandit. One more exotic locale has been added to the travelogue - QuestWorld, a virtual-reality system invented by Benton Quest. Questworld is employed in recreating imaginary or otherwise inaccessible environments. The Questworld system has since been expanded by his son, Hadji and Jessie to include recreational uses as well. In the course of their adventures, the Quest team runs into resistance from a number of sources, ranging from former KGB operatives to their own government to the forces of nature herself. They also receive help from fellow seekers after knowledge, and sometimes from unexpected sources - such as a renegade nuclear submarine captain who targets whaling boats. Jonathan "Jonny" Quest Jonny is extremely curious and loves action. Whenever he is on a journey, he uses his wits to escape from trouble. He has a well-developed sense of responsibility, although he tends to be impatient and even reckless. Very loyal, campassionate, and adventurous, Jonny always puts others before himself. Hadji Quest-Singh Adopted by Dr. Quest, he is also his assistant. The mature and intelligible boy accompanies his mentor on all of his scientific excursions. Specializing in computer programming and general electronic know-how, and is an able backup for any situation. He seems to have a slight problem with heights. A wise person who is always by Jonny's side, teaching him new things and helping solve problems. He has also inherited psychic powers from his parents. Jessica Margaret Leya "Jessie" Bannon She has learned a lot from his father to become intelligent and resourceful. She has a special inclination towards computers and communications equipment, which she manipulates with ease. Her eagerness to participate in and sometimes initiate the Quest team's often rigorous activities does not in any way diminish her femininity. Roger T. "Race" Bannon He used to be a government agent and is now Dr. Quest's bodyguard and Operations Manager. The father of Jesse, he is experienced with piloting any vehicle and has a large knowledge of weapons and security. Benton C. Quest The doctor is a world-renowned phenomenologist, archaeologist, scientist and explorer whose daily commute ranges from 2 to 2000 miles. He has spent most of his life researching strange phenomena all around the world, and now is frequently commissioned as a consultant in such matters by individuals, institutions and governments alike. This has helped him build a personal fortune that allows him to pursue his own interests.moreless

Darien Fawkes is a thief and conman with a scientist brother, Kevin. Kevin develops a gland that allows the implantee to excrete "Quicksilver" and turn invisible. Unfortunately, the gland has the side effect of rendering the implantee berserk if a counteragent isn't occasionally injected. Darien agrees to the operation to avoid a jail sentence. Terrorists kill Kevin, leaving Darien with the gland stuck in his head. A mysterious "Agency" was behind Kevin's research, and offer Darien a deal: work for them in return for injections of the Counteragent. Using his powers of invisibility, Darien takes on spies and other criminals for the government.moreless

Beetleborgs

This guide covers the program known as "Saban's Big Bad Beetleborgs" (in its first season) and "Saban's Beetleborgs Metallix" (in its second and final season). It was the third "companion series" to the Power Rangers franchise, and eventually rose in ratings to point it was number 1 in all key demographics. The show was about three typical pre-teen kids, Drew, Roland, and Jo, living in the city of Charterville, where they tend to hang out as Roland's father's comic book store, Zoom Comics. One day, on a dare, the trio entered the local haunted house (known as Hillhurst Mansion), and encounter a gang of crazy gang, child-hugry monsters! While trying to escape, they bumped into a pipe organ, accidentally freeing a wacky blue phasm by the name Flabber. As thanks for releasing him from his prison, he gave them a wish, which they were unanimous on: the kids wanted to be their favorite comic book superheroes - the Beetleborgs! But in fulfilling their wish, Flabber accidentally releases the Beetleborgs' enemies, the evil Magnavores, from the comic book world as well. Now the kids, as the armored, insect-powered, (adult-) cyborg warriors called the Beetleborgs, must defend their city from the Magnavores, which include Noxic, Jara, Typhus and their boss, Vexor, as they release evil creatures also out of any issue of the comics. The comic arsenal is also at the kids' disposal, including powerful weapons and three giant fighting machines known as the Beetle A.V.s. The shy but courageous Drew takes the form of the Blue Stinger Beetleborg (and later, the Chromium Gold Beetleborg). He also has the civilian ability of telekinetic powers. Jo, his tomboyish younger sister (who later goes through a change of actresses due to a magic spell gone bad), is the Red Striker (and later Platinum Purple) Beetleborg, and has the civilian ability of super-strength. And the budding magician Roland is the Green Hunter Beetleborg (and later, the Titanium Silver Beetleborg), with super-speed as his civilian ability. Then in "BeetleBorgs Metallix", Art Fortunes, creator of the Beetleborgs comics, creates better and more powerful armor for the heroes, to combat a new line of evil which are created by Art's criminal insane brother, Les Fortunes! His creation of Nukus, Horribelle, Vilor, and their Crustaceans are the new enemies of these new Metallix-powered Beetleborgs. The supporting cast includes Flabber's child-hungry roommates, known as the House Monsters (which include vampiric Count Fangula, tightly-wound Mums, dim-witted Frankenbeans, incomprehensable Wolfgang, and later the fiesty Little Ghoul); Roland's butt-kicking, bike-riding grandmother Nano; Roland's Zoom Comics-owning father Aaron (and later his mother, Abby); Heather, a pretty young girl who works at Zoom and Drew has a major crush on; and Van & Trip, two millionaire brats who tend to bully around the kids. Big Bad Beetleborgs was adapted from the 1995 Toei Metal Hero program, "Juukou Bii Faitaa (Heavy Armor B-Fighter). Beetleborgs Metallix was adapted from the 1996 Toei Metal Hero program, "Bii Faitaa Kabuto" (B-Fighter Kabuto). The series aired Mondays to Fridays, and Saturday mornings, on the Fox Kids block of the Fox network, from its inception, until the fall of 1998, when reruns of it moved to the UPN Kids block of the United Paramount Network. It has not aired in the USA since 1999, though continues to run in other countries, most notably the United Kingdom. The series ended due to two major factors: Toei stopped production of its Metal Hero series, meaning no series to adapt for a third season (which was tentatively titled Beetleborgs Force), which would have meant much higher production costs. And secondly, Saban Entertainment needed to free up more money to fund the Ireland co-production Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog. The toy line even continued after the show ended its run! Beetleborgs (both seasons) was a production of Renaissance-Atlantic Films. A co-production of Toei Company, LTD. and Bugboy Productions, Inc. And copyrighted by Saban Entertainment, Inc. and Saban International, N.V. (which is now owned by Disney, and goes by the name of BVS Entertainment, Inc.) (One last FYI: Shannon "Jo #1" Chandler and Elisabeth "Heather" Lund were nominated for "Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Saturday Morning TV Program" at the YoungStar Awards for the series)moreless

Nearly two hundred years have passed since humanity departed from the Earth to start new lives in space colonies. The United Earth Sphere Alliance, who had abolished all the nations of the world and had taken control of the planet is now threatening to extend that control over the independent space colonies. Within the Alliance, a special group known as the Organization of the Zodiac(OZ) which is responsible for the Alliance's actions, aims to take center stage. Unwilling to yield to the Alliance, the colonies send 5 young men in Mobile Suits known as Gundams to destroy OZ and preserve the colonies' independence. Gundam Wing is an anime created in 1995 (formally known as 'New Mobile Report Gundam Wing'). Its parent series, Mobile Suit Gundam (AU), had premiered in 1979, marking the beginning of a successful Gundam Era. Two years after the release of forty-nine episodes, Gundam Wing was a venture to attract a new generation of cartoon-watchers. The show's initial airing in the United States is accredited to Cartoon Network's Toonami schedule block. "Generations ago, with a great dream for the future... humankind departed from planet Earth, seeking a life on space colonies. But as time went by, the United Earth Sphere Alliance brought the colonies under its control... one after another using its overwhelming military power in the name of peace and justice. After Colony, Year 195... The beginning of Operation Meteor... It was a secret operation by a few colonies which tried to stand against the Alliance. "Di-Gata Defenders" follows four courageous teens whose duty it is to protect the Realm against the Order of Infinis. Each teen has the help of a Guardian to protect them from villains trying to stop them from protecting the people of Rados. Broadcast History: "Di-Gata Defenders" premiered on 4KidsTV on July 28th, 2007 at 11:00 AM. It remained there for five weeks until August 25th, 2007, when it was then put on hiatus. Luckily, the remaining eight episodes of the initial thirteen episode order premiered online at 4Kids.com. Surprisingly, Di-Gata Defenders returned to 4KidsTV a year later on August 9th, 2008 at 8:00am. The first five episodes of the series were rerun for five weeks until September 6th, 2008. On September 13th, 2008, the final thirteen episodes of season one began airing. After the first season finale on December 6th, 2008, the first three episodes of the series reran until December 27th, 2008 when the 4KidsTV block was disbanded on Fox.moreless

Welcome to The Green Hornet guide at TV.com. The Green Hornet debuted shortly after the 1966 Batman TV Series and was produced by the same company. Whereas Batman was known for its heavy camp and semi-comedic storytelling, The Green Hornet took a more serious and realistic approach to masked crimefighting. However, this may have hurt the show as Batman is easily recalled by many for the outlandish villains such as the Joker and the Riddler, but The Green Hornet featured the protagonists battling against various "normal" criminals with no odd gimmicks. Despite only lasting one season, The Green Hornet has amassed a cult following, most likely because of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, who made his American television debut on the show.
