21 Jump Street is about a group of under-age looking cops who go undercover at high schools to catch young criminals before they become older, more dangerous criminals. In later seasons, the team went less and less undercover on high schools, and the plots focused more on the cops' personal lives. THEME SONG: The theme song was written by Liam Sternberg and sung by Holly Robinson - with backup vocals by Johnny Depp and Peter Deluise. The lyrics were: We never thought we'd find a place where we belong. Don't have to stand alone, we'll never let you fall. Don't need permission to decide what you believe. I said jump, down on Jump Street. I said jump, down on Jump Street. Your friends will be there when your back is to the wall. You'll find you'll need us cause there's no one else to call. When it was hopeless a decision is what you need. You'd better be ready to, be ready to jump. 21 Jump Street. Something Wicked Has Washed Ashore... Something wicked this way comes to Point Pleasant, a usually quiet New Jersey beach town, when a sudden, violent storm washes in more than the tide. After local lifeguard JESSE PARKER (Sam Page) sees the beautiful CHRISTINA NICKSON (Elisabeth Harnois) floating in the ocean, he dives into the dangerous waters to save her life and bring her to safety. Little does Jesse know that his heroic rescue heralds the beginning of a battle between good and evil. Jesse brings Christina to the home of DR. BEN (Richard Burgi) and MEG KRAMER (Susan Walters), whose reclusive daughter JUDY (Aubrey Dollar) takes an instant liking to their new houseguest. The Kramers have seen their share of hardship – their youngest daughter passed away a couple of years ago – and Christina appears to bring light back into their house. For Christina, Point Pleasant offers both a respite from her protected boarding-school existence in New York, and the opportunity to search for her long-lost mother, a Point Pleasant native. Unbeknownst to Christina, her arrival in Point Pleasant has a profound effect on the small seaside community. Her presence awakens repressed feelings, unlocks suppressed desires and heightens emotions among the residents. Tensions flare between Jesse and best friend TERRY BURKE (Brent Weber), who secretly pines for Jesse’s possessive girlfriend, PAULA HARGROVE (Cameron Richardson). Paula’s hot-to-trot mother, AMBER (Dina Meyer), attempts to rekindle her relationship with the good Dr. Kramer, her childhood sweetheart. Even the strong love between Jesse’s parents, Police Captain LOGAN (Alex Carter) and church-going SARAH PARKER (Clare Carey), is tested, especially when the mysterious and charismatic LUCAS BOYD (Grant Show), a man with ties to Christina’s father, moves into town and begins to insinuate himself into Christina’s new life. As Christina and Jesse fight their budding attraction, Christina enlists Jesse’s help to search for answers to her family’s past, all the while trying to suppress the evil inside her – and the power that comes with it. While Christina never knew her mother, she will come to realize that she’s never known her “real” father, either. Christina is the offspring of a mortal woman and the Devil – and the battle for her soul has begun. Point Pleasant is a 20th Century Fox Television Production. Marti Noxon ("Angel,” “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”), Marty Adelstein, Dawn Parouse ("Tru Calling") and Neal Moritz serve as executive producers. Point Pleasant was canceled after eight airings, but the complete first season of thirteen episodes is now available on DVD.moreless

Quincy, M.E, a man who must have been a nightmare to work with! Quincy was a crusading Medical Examiner in Los Angeles, an expert at his job he was always capable of finding something that everyone else missed. A small clue that would go against all the rest of the evidence in a case and would lead to him arguing with his boss, Asten, and/or the investigating detective, nearly always Monahan. Quincy started of as a straight forward crime series with a difference, it was a M.E. investigating not a police officer or private eye.As the series went from strength to strength the writers, probably with a little push from Klugman, started bringing in stories about social injustice rather than criminal. Most of the time this worked, in fact it is sometimes interesting to see that some of the things highlighted still have not changed even now! Sometimes it came over a little preachy but the show can never be faulted for trying to enlighten the eyes of its viewers.moreless

Many criminals made the mistake of underestimating Lieutenant Columbo, a homicide investigator with a crumpled trench-coat and a beat-up car, who certainly acted as an incompetent bumbler. But he was so polite to every suspect, and he talked so much about his wife (who we never got to see on any episode, but who many believe later had her own show, starring Kate Mulgrew, later of Star Trek: Voyager fame) that he lulled even the shrewdest murderer into a false sense of security. And although the audience had witnessed the murder in the beginning of each episode, it was still a surprise to see what mistakes the killers had made during the seemingly perfect murder. Peter Falk carried the old trench-coat for 7 seasons of 90 and 120 minute movies on NBC, before the series ended. But over a decade later, Falk agreed to revive the character on ABC for an additional 2 seasons with a subsequent string of TV-movies with the loveable detective once again using his calling-card false good-byes: "Oh, there´s just one more thing..." (A note on the running time of the episode: During the first 7 seasons, 18 episodes were 120 minutes long, while the other 27 episodes were 90 minutes long. The episodes after that were all 120 minutes long. In the episode guide, I have only marked out the 90 minute-episodes.)moreless

However, soon she discovers that afterlife really does exist... she becomes a reaper - she helps in catching the souls of people moments before they're destined to die. Then she meets a group of reapers who collect people's souls. The main reaper is Rube (Mandy Patinkin), who is always playing smart, Roxy (Jasmine Guy), a reaper with an attitude, Mason (Callum Blue), a confused and funny reaper and Daisy (Laura Harris), a beautiful reaper full of mysteries. The other characters include George's family - mother Joy (Cynthia Stevenson), father Clancy (Greg Kean) and sister Reggie (Britt McKillip), who each have their own way to deal with George's death. Now that she has a new life, George will try to deal with her new job as a reaper and the fact that she is dead. While learning some important lessons, George gets a job at Happy Time, a office lead by Delores Herbig (played by Christine Willes), a funny woman who is always optimistic and tries to be everybody's friend while leading a perfect life. The other recurring characters include Crystal (Crystal Dahl), a Happy Time secretary that does not talk much and Der Waffle House's waitress Kiffany (Patricia Idlette). The only bad move was Rebecca Gayheart's removal from the show. Apparently, she was unable to renew her contract so her character was sadly written out of the show. The main description for the show could easily be described as "funny and morbid". It debuted on Showtime in 2003. The show quickly became an absolute hit and some people even paid to view Showtime just to watch the show that everyone talks about. However, just a year after, when season 2 finished, the show was unexpectedly canceled by Showtime, which was one of the worst moves ever for a TV station like that.
