Cavalcade of Stars Season 3 Episode 15

Joyce Randolph joins the Honeymooners cast in this episode, assuming her signature role as Trixie Norton.
In an interview for "The Archive of American Television," Randolph said she had done a live Clorets commercial on Cavalcade of Stars and its sister series Cavalcade of Bands. Joe Cates, who worked on both shows, called her back some weeks later to play in a brief dramatic sketch with Gleason. A few weeks passed and Jackie was looking for a new Trixie (Elaine Stritch was not brought back after her one appearance in the role.) He recalled liking Joyce from her previous appearance and told Cates to "get me that serious actress."
