Gleason opens with his celebrity impressions. Cornell sings his hit "It Isn't Fair" and Wilson does "Way Down Yonder in New Orleans." Joe the Bartender gossips. In the Honeymooner's sketch "The New Television Set", Alice tests out a new TV set on a trial basis until Ralph hits the roof and orders her to return it. The TV man comes to reclaim the set and tells Ralph how much Alice enjoyed watching it. Ralph relents and buys her the television.       • The 11/3/1951 edition of The Billboard magazine reports that Jackie Gleason is in negotiations with NBC. Gleason is under contract for this season on Calvacade, but can make guest appearances. It is said he would get a specified number of guaranteed guest spots this current season and become exclusive to NBC next season.

      • The kinescope of this Honeymooners sketch was featured in The Honeymooners: The Really Lost Debut Episodes, a special hosted by Paul Reiser airing on the Disney Channel 10/30/1993.

      • This Honeymooner's sketch features the first appearence of Ed Norton and his wife Trixie. Trixie is played, for the only time, by future Broadway legend Elaine Stritch.
