Show Summary

CD:UK [or Count Down United Kingdom] first aired in 1998 as an addition to ITV's popular Saturday morning childrens show SM:TV Live, on ITV 1.

Ant, Dec and Cat hosted the show for the first three years. After the third year, Ant and Dec decided it was time to leave, going onto become Saturday night TV stars.

The show, like SM:TV went through a lot of celebrity guest presenters and even after a complete relaunch, with the Mitracks Chart, a new set and permanent presenters (Myleene Klass, Johnny Pitts and Lauren Laverne), ITV dropped the show.

Since then production company Blaze was meant to be teaming up with channel five to bring a new series of CD:UK, airing at 5.30pm on a Saturday night with Dave Berry and Caroline Flack, these plans were scrapped on April 17th 2007.
