Celebrating the Art of the Short Film compiles six original, outstanding, short and unique films, chosen by independent and foreign movie critics at Film Movement. The selections include three that received Academy Award nominations: "Das Rad" (Chris Stenner and Heidi Wittlinger), which stars two rocks after the frantic action of humans for centuries, "Inja" (Steven Pasvolsky and Joe Weatherstone) in which a landowner from South Africa during apartheid attempts to forcefully separate a black boy and his beloved small puppy, and "Mt. Head" (Koji Yamamura) in which a man eats enough cherries to sprout a cherry tree from his head. Also, "Sangam" (Prashant Bhargava) was a popular choice at Sundance. In Sangam, Raj is an Indian immigrant who arrives in America to find the American Dream, only to meet a disillusioned Indian-American on the subway with whom he discusses his dreams, fears and hopes. These short films join others as an interesting choice of foreign films.
