    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (2)

    • QUOTES (3)

      • David Faustino: (When they were being taught how to make their beds) I've been a spoiled child actor my whole life. So this is hard.

      • DI Fransico: Lamas, Lorenzo starred in television's Renegade. Has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Karate. Ooohhhh, that's pretty impressive. Unfortunately it's all down hill from here.

      • Drill Instructor Francisco - Get up...Lift that heavy ass of the floor.

    • NOTES (5)

      • When Coolio was asked why he agreed to be apart of Celebrity Bootcamp he said, "I was tricked into it. I was told that it was like Fear Factor or something, that it was not going to be like real boot camp and not to worry about it. It was real boot camp, only worse, because we were celebrities and they wanted to really lay it on kind of thick."

      • In addition to being filmed almost entirely aboard Marine Corps property, various units aboard Camp Pendleton provided critical support to ensure the show's success.

      • "Official support was provided because of our association with 'Boot Camp' reality shows," explained Capt. Shawn Haney, Project Officer with the Marine Corps Motion Picture -- TV Liaison Office in LA. "It also allows us to highlight the professionalism and leadership of the show's DI's and our ideals of teamwork, discipline and motivation."

      • Coolio and the Drill Instructors were near to ripping each others heads off....Lucky it only lasted for 3 days.

      • Only one of the 10 recruits was brave enough to have all their hair shaved off.

    • ALLUSIONS (3)

      • DI Fransico: Zeiring, Nikki: considers herself a good friend of Hefners.
This was a reference to when Nikki was in Playboy. Nikki was Playboy Playmate of the Month for September 1997. Playboy was foundered by Hugh Hefner.

      • DI Fransico: Morvan, Fabrice: Forced to return Grammy.
This is a reference to the Milli Vanilli debacle. Milli Vanilli was a singing group that was exposed as frauds and lipsyncers. The group won Grammys for their first two singles. But was forced to return their Grammys after they were exposed.

      • DI Fransico: Do you actually tell people you used to be Bud Bundy?
When the Drill Instructor asked David Faustino this, it was a reference to the show Married... with Children in which David starred in. He played the character of Bud Bundy. The show aired on FOX and ran from 1987 to 1997.
