    • When the winner is being chosen, Hal is the first of the three to be cut, leaving the decision between Alfonso and Lucy.

    • Smokey Robinson sings a special duet with Gladys Knight.

    • Only three members of "Boyz II Men" are present, so to accompany them, Wayne Brady is the fourth singer.

    • There is a part in the episode which talks about Little Richard, and when Hal does his impression of Richard he recites Richard's apperance on a recent Geico commercial.

    • In one of the better moments of the series all eight celebrity contestants sang a medley of David Foster songs while David accompanied them on the piano.

    • Little Richard, who will turn 74 this year (2006), performed his hit Good Golly Miss Molly. Afterward, he was seen to be out of breathe. Later he had to leave the show early.
