Things get off to a rocky start when the two teams have to vote to have one of their members moved to the other team. Carlie and Angie end up being moved, and Angie is not pleased when Vinny makes the decision to have Ted made team captain. Angie threatens to leave. During the hiking competition, Angie starts to slow the team down and Ted is not pleased. Angie keeps blaming her performance on her heart condition, but others view her excuse as a crutch she wants to lean on. Angie needs oxygen, but eventually does finish the hike. But because of Angies slow down, the Red Team ends up winning a competition. Tina feels that Angie is not conditioning herself so she can do well during the physical challenges. I’m going to be honest I actually agree with Tina a little. If the doctors cleared her to workout, then she needs to simply do what she can do to the best of her ability and stop trying to use her condition as an excuse. Angie is all emotional, and keeps crying. It’s pointed out that Agnie is not making good nutritional choices. She eats a Pastrami Sandwich and carrot cake instead of eating something healthier. She did not workout, and she only loses 1 pound failing to reach her target of losing 4 pounds. She has to lose 6 pounds by the next weigh in. She has lost 15 pounds to date. Which I don’t think she even appreciates, and acknowledges she has done. The red team will now call themselves Hot Buttered Soul with Tina as the Captain. Tina vows to be a motivator, and good leader. Bone Crusher gets a workout of Sumo wrestling, and he was pretty good. Carnie conquered her fear of climbing the wall. She got nervous and did stop, but she had people there encouraging her and she kept going. She was so excited she finished. Bone Crusher lost his target 4 pounds and has to lost 8 by next weight in. He has lost 27 pounds so far. Tina lost 8 pounds and went beyond her target of having to lose 4 pounds. She has to lose 4 pounds by next weigh in. Carnie loses 3 pounds 1 pound shy of her target goal of 4 pounds. Has to lose 5 pounds by next weigh in. She has lost 14 pounds to date. Vinny had to lose 3 pounds, instead he gains 2 pounds. Has to lose 5 pounds by next weigh in. Vinny gets all upset he has to lose so much while others have to only lose 3 pounds. He falls for the myth that fat turns into muscle. He claims he is working out and not losing weight, but he is eating wrong which is a problem. Ted had to lose 3 pounds and succeeds. New target is 3 pounds, and he has loss 18 pounds to date. Vinny feels he is being made a fool of, and an all out argument happens. Emotions broil over, and well I guess everyone is feeling the pressure.
