How Would You Play It: Played along with Travis Tritt's hand
-
This is only the second time in Celebrity Poker Showdown where there was a double elimination (Rosie O'Donnell & Mo Gaffney). Coincidentally enough, the other time was in this very tournament, just three games earlier. More noteworthy is that this is the first time that a double elimination was the first elimination, meaning that this was the only game to never have just one player in the Loser's Lounge.
-
There's an ongoing gag in this episode with Penny Marshall and her "hand rankings" list that she brought with her. She immediately takes out a small, card-sized list, and then when things get a little crazier, she pulls out an 8 1/2"x11" sheet with the list on it. Other players borrow the list when they are deciding on a big bet, all for comedic effect.

Dave Foley's Pick To Win: Travis Tritt
-
This is the first time ever on Celebrity Poker Showdown where both Phil Gordon's and Dave Foley's picks to win made it to heads-up, putting an end to the infamous curse of whoever Dave & Phil pick to win end up getting eliminated early in the game.

Annie Duke, world class poker player, stopped by the studio to help give Phil Gordon commentary on the game.
-
In one of the closest high-ranking hands ever, Anthony Anderson had a four-of-a-kind of 5's (one of the very few times someone has had a four-of-a-kind on Celebrity Poker Showdown) to Michael Vartan's full house of Kings and 5's. It may have been the first time a player lost with a King-high full house.
