Bedfordshire In #17, Beverley & Yogesh Patel want their sitting room attacked. They have lived in their house for 7 years. Beverley and Carol next door both play in the local netball team. In #21 Carol and Gene Holmes would like to see some change in their living room. When Carol first knew Gene, he was a punk with pink hair. Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen helps in the Patel's sitting room. They sand down the walls and paint it all a very pale biscuit color. They lay out a tongue & groove border on the floor. They make new curtains for the room. Laurence uses a felt tip pen and creates a fake panel effect on the walls. They also build a dummy door to balance the wall out and hand paint some curtains. Graham Wynne helps in the other room. Graham is a bit nervous about color so he gives his team some choices. However, they cannot seem to choose what color they want. They finally choose orange and use a wipedown technique. Graham and host Carol take apart a sofa to recover. Andy builds a fireplace to give a focal point for the room. The team also creates some abstract art to add. Graham does a stone effect on the fireplace and they make a cover for the existing fireplace.moreless
