(Jason tells Douglas about his money in the bank) Douglas: It doesn't matter, Charles, the cat's out of the bag and I'm in the money. Charles: That money is for your future. Douglas: The future is now, I hope the hobby shop's open.

Lila: Charles! Charles: Lila! Lila: What are we going to burn next? We've already sacrificed all dad's Sports Illustrated's, all of mom's New Yorker's, and all of Jason's Humpty Dumpty's. Maxine: I have an algebra book I could live without.

Douglas: You have to have a credit card to order, I am a kid, kids don't have credit cards. Charles: Maybe because they order things like $5,000 robots.

Heather: My lips are chapping! My stomach is making strange noises! Douglas: That's your flesh beginning to eat itself.

Charles: Hang on, Jason? Gwendolyn: I'll get a rope. Buddy: I'll get a ladder. Tracy: Call the police! Stacy: Call the fire department! Maxine: Call the grocery store.

Gwendolyn: Charles and I are going to do a scene from Romeo and Juliet. Douglas: Uh-oh, mush time.

Charles: You know better than to rummage around in your parents room. Jason: Come on, Charles, tell me you never looked under your dad's Hawaiian shirt? Buddy: I sure did, that's where he kept all the good magazines.

Charles: Is there anything I can do to help? Douglas: You can't help, only my dad can help. Charles: Ah, how do you know unless you ask. Douglas: Can you double my allowance? Charles: Talk to your father.
