Charles: You can't teach an old dog new tricks? Walter: What? Buddy: Oh, that's not true Charles, I had an old dog and I taught him to roll over and play dead, least I thought he was playing.

Buddy: Jenny and I will have a place to practice our underwater breathing at night. Charles: Oh, Buddy, you should be very careful? Water contains oxygen, see if any oxygen reaches your brain, your liable to become an airhead.

Buddy: Gee, Mr. Powell, I knew we were studying history, but I didn't realize we'd be studying you? Walter: Yes, Yes, Lembeck, and then when we get to the zoology we can study you.

(Buddy walks in wearing his oxygen tank) Charles: The sorority party is free, you don't have to bring your own air?

Chris: Would take me to the party Walter? Charles: No, No, Walter can't go anywhere? It's a school night and he has homework.

Charles: Why didn't you take the mouth piece out? Buddy: I was afraid I would drown?

(Buddy passes out after kissing Jenny) Jenny: Buddy? Charles: No, just relax, kissing always clogs up his gills.
