  • the Easter Beagle wants you to have an egg!

    Another memorable Peantus special. Much better than the Saturday Morning stuff that is still bad. Peppermint Patty is trying to teach Marcie how to cook a easter egg without success. Meanwhile Snoopy nis going around calling himnself The Easter Beagle. It's like the Great Pumpkin, except the Easter Beagle actually showed up to give stuff away. That Easter special makes me hungry for hard boil egg. Another reason why those special woks. I care about the characters in those specials. It's hard to care about anyone in Saturday Morning Cartoons. The Easter Beagle is fun to watch and playing the Easter Beagle is Snoopy himself.moreless

    In this episode of "Charlie Brown", I found it to be very entertaining and quite humorous with how the episode spoofed "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown", the only differences being that the holiday this time was Easter and Linus was actually right about the "Easter Beagle" coming to bring everyone colored eggs.

    As the episode wore on, what I thought was really cute about the story was Snoopy buying Woodstock a bird house in order to keep him safe from the elements when the weather is too hot or too cold. What I found hilarious about this was at first Woodstock didn't like his house, but after he spent some time in it I thought it was comical that the bird turned it into a really cool bachelor pad...until Snoopy with all of his curiosity demolished the house when he was looking inside to see what the bird did and ultimately having to go back to the store to buy another new house for his beloved friend.

    Another thing that was nice about the episode, was Peppermint Patty trying to teach Marcy about the meaning of coloring eggs for Easter, however, I didn't like this part that much. You would think that someone as smart as Marcy would know about the customs of the holiday.

    In all, I found this to be a nice addition to the Charlie Brown holiday specials that have been made through the course of the years. In it and the other specials, you can always find the same things, Charlie Brown always being left out of something and Lucy being her always mean self.moreless
