Charlie Brown must escort the Little Red-Haired Girl to the homecoming dance, even though he has trouble kicking the ball during the homecoming football game.
  • Call me biased, but I like all Charlie Browm and Snoopy Show episodes. Some may find this whole dancing with the little red hair girl thing immature, but well, I think it is adorable!moreless

    "Perfect"
Charlie Brown is quite a realistic character in the sense that he totally reflects the "nice guys finish last" quote. As we all know, Charlie Brown is just your average boy, who is nice to everyone, doesn't always have a clue of what's going, got really not much of a talent, and is just trying to make it. The conflict between him and the little red hair girl shows that a lot of shy boys have trouble approaching girls, but they don't know what they've got. You see, at the end of the episode, the little red hair girl is impressed with Charlie Brown. He does have his charm, but he just gotta have confidence in himself! If in the future I have a son, I gotta show him this episode. Hehe!moreless

    • This is the first special after Vince Guaraldi's death. Peanuts music has suffered greatly since that point, although David Benoit has partially restored some of Guaraldi's quality.

    • Charles Schulz approved of showing the Little Red-haired Girl and naming her Heather, but he later regretted it. It was the animators who decided what she should look like. She never appeared in the strip. Heather later appeared in Happy New Year, Charlie Brown. The Little Red-haired Girl (this time with no name) also appeared in A Charlie Brown Valentine, but in that special she looked different than the version we know as Heather.
