With Hugh's help, Charlie learns how to deal with his mother-in-law.

Okay, anyone who's seen this show knows the Jeckyll/Hyde thing going between Charlie and Hugh. And it was really in this episode that we finally see Hugh rubbing off on him. Now we all have a basic understanding that in sitcoms, the mother-in-law is the natural enemy to the lead male role, but Charlie breaks the mold and liberates all us guys who aren't allowed to fight back at the ancient spirits of evil by telling her off. The change happens when she keeps calling him at work and demanding he go do immasculating things. When Hugh asks him what's causing all his stress, acting innocent and sarcastically sweet, stating possible answers such as "Is it global warming? The budget deficit?", and charlie shouts "MOTHER IN LAW!!!" at the top of his lungs... I couldn't stop laughing.moreless
