Charlie Wild, Private Detective

Show Summary

Charlie Wild, Private Detective was a series depicting a New York City private eye and his many times bizarre cases.
The character Charlie Wild was basically the same character as Dashiell Hammett's Sam Spade, only repackaged under another face and character to avoid legal conflicts.
A unique aspect of the television series is that it premiered in 1950 on the NBC network, then moved to CBS, then to ABC, and finally to the Dumont network for it's final few episodes.
