    Hi All,

Do you think that Cheryl Ladd fitted in well with the series and the cast when she joined the show? I'd be interested in your opinion.

She was a great asset to Charlies Angels. She portrayed the younger, more inexperienced investigator - who was also a little bit naughty too. She seemed to have a great rapport with the characters of Sabrina, Kelly and especially Bosley. So even though Farrah leaving was a shock, I think the show was better off with 3 evenly-balanced characters...

Cheryl fit in well with the cast even though she was brought in on the 2nd season. It's a shame that Cheryl didn't come in on the 1st season like the producers originally wanted her too. But I like how they introduced her.. she is Jill's kid sister

Cheryl had said that she wanted Kris to be the underdog.. She wasn't all that experienced. She just got out of SFPD. She was still wet under the collar.

I agree that Cheryl was a good replacement for Farrah. In fact, between the Munroe girls, I prefer Cheryl's "Kris" hands down. While I enjoyed Farrah's brief stint on the series, and I give her credit for helping to make the series as much of a success as it was, I feel Cheryl had greater depth and brought more to her character than Farrah did. I also enjoy their interaction as sisters during Farrah's return guest spots. They pulled off the sisterly rapport quite well.

very true.. i don't think farrah was able to quite get the feel of jill as well as cheryl did for kris.. there was more interaction with the other angels with kris than there was for jill.. i don't mean that in a bad way because she was on 4 years compared to just the 1 and guess spots...

Actually, I don't even really think of Cheryl Ladd as a replacement, as she was on longer and had the best chemistry with Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and David Doyle, in my opinion.

Both Cheryl and Farrah were great on the show, and had great chemistry as sisters. I really wish the show would have been 4 Angels instead of 3. I loved seeing Jill, Kelly, Kris and Sabrina together.

However, between the lovely Munroe sisters, I liked Kris best on the show. I also like the Kris, Kelly, Sabrina trio best as well.

That's a good point, I don't think of Cheryl Ladd as a replacement, either, given how long she acted on the series. Despite Farrah's popularity, in my mind Cheryl is more of an Angel than Farrah (with no disrespect to Farrah, of course) because she contributed so much more to the series and she has about 4 times the amount of screen time.

I was more disappointed that they had to change the opening credits. wherein Kate and Jaclyn walk out of the police station and are joined by Cheryl. In the previous one, all three of them walked out together. But she did a good job. I kinda thought she was more alluring than Farrah.

    Yes, definitely!

Loved Cheryl Ladd's addition to the cast. Was wary of the "newbie" at first, but in time, she grew to be one of my favorites, with consistently good performances (well.....it wasn't exactly Shakespeare, but still!). In fact, I MUCH preferred her over Farrah Fawcett.

I'm currently watching online the 1977 Charlie's Angels via Fast-Debrid as I dl it for my mom. She is a huge fan.

Btw, why was Farrah replaced? Was there misunderstanding or heat bet. her and the cast/crew? Or did she just had to leave?

I've seen a few interviews and read a couple of magazine articles where Farrah stated that she was "bored" with playing the role of Jill Munroe, so she wanted to leave to do movies.
