  • A Wrong Day's Journey into Right

A Wrong Day's Journey into Right was a great episode of Charmed and I really enjoyed watching because there was a lot of character and plot development for Paige, Phoebe and Piper among other characters. The story was pretty interesting and well crafted. I liked how the story unfolded and played out. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!!!
  • Couldn't Be More Wrong If They Tried!

A Wrong Day's Journey into Right-With Piper away at magic school and Phoebe without her active powers, overworked Paige conjures Mr. Right for stress relief but, unknowingly, releases his evil twin, Mr. Wrong.

I honestly don't know how viewers could take this series seriously at this point. It's just embarassing watching the our lead actresses are forced to perform ridiculous scripts like this. The villains of the week? Mr. Wrong and...dear lord...the Demonatrix! I donm't know what's worse: the pun or that they actually had a bunch of strippers in tight leatehr who wear suppose to be demons. Poor Cameron Litvak, even his writing could make sense out of this horrid material! Phoebe once again is forced to wear a sexy, revealing outfit while looking stupid and Paige conquers up yet another sex toy, this time for her selfish needs. I swear the writers have made the sisters so dense, it's like they have no respect for themselves anymore! It's like personal gain means nothing on this series anymore and who is Phoebe to talk about it being wrong when she has a longhistory of boning any guy that comes her way! I feel bad for Holly Marie Combs, it's like Piper barely does anything anymore. Considering Holly was about to pop out her baby, Piper is pretty much sidelined for most of the episodes to give her some rest on set. Although it was cool getting to see her use her powers on the Demonatrix, we even got somerare freezing again!!

Ehw. Then you have Paige's Mr. Right worshipping her throughout which is just as unbearable to watch as you'd expect. Chris' arrest is pretty boring to watch, although it's nice to see him and Leo finallycome to some sort of agreement. Then you haveDarryl not helping the sisters anymore which probably the smartest thing he has ever doneconsidering the sh!t he pulled on them him this year, it about time he rezlised that. Anyway, your typical waste of time episode.moreless
  • Awesome Episode!

I cant believe Paige conjured a perfect man so she want to make a love with Mr. Right in her bed for 3 weeks!!! She is out of her mind! It is very wrong of her. She was so desperate to get love from men!! She missed love men, weird! Mr. Right is one of my favorite guest role on Charmed!!! Chris did right thing to chase the demon so he can save lives! Darryl should to grow up and help people!! Darryl refused to help Charmed Sisters no more, what a wimp! I was very disappointed in Darryl, who refused to help! Great Episode!!moreless
  • Did the good scripts all include Piper? Boy, what a silly episode. Paige does something so out of character and Phoebe is not in-character either.

Seems like this episode was totally geared towards the male audience. Okay, there always is some of that, but in this episode, all there is is cleavage and tight catsuits. The premise is so unlikely. Paige would never use magic for personal gain. Phoebe would be the last sister to sneer at casual sex. Let's face it, she was Freebie, right?

There are a few good scenes between Piper and Leo. Leo tries to reach out to her. She seems to have a wall...can't really blame her. She has experienced too much pain. She does have a good line, "Come on, I's pregnant, not stupid."

If you missed this episode, don't feel bad.moreless

Be careful what you lust for

Not the most original episode but nicely put together. Benefits from some decent effects, a good guest actor and some fine performances by the cast regulars, particularly Alyssa. That face she pulls when she hears about the massage is priceless.

The first half is full of intrigue: someone is slaying demons left, right and centre and they're doing it using the Charmed Ones' own potions. A bunch of leather clad hussies seems to be behind it but who is giving the orders? Alongside this is a subplot in which Paige conjures her dream bloke and has it off with him a lot.

The clever part is that it turns out to be the dream bloke's evil twin who is behind the killings. It's great when all the threads come together like this and a lot of thought has clearly gone into the plot. Unfortunately the whole story is based on a glaring character flaw. There's no way Paige would use magic for personal gain just one week after facing the tribunal! We know she isn't stupid so why have her act like this?

The demonatrics (groan!) remind me of the Stillman Sisters from earlier in the season. Not sure if this is intentional. Either way, they make great cannon fodder. On the subject of lookalikes, Paige's dream bloke looks a hell of a lot like Leo. Is this a case of sister envy? If so, she's kept it well hidden.

There are a few other threads. Phoebe is still smarting from losing her powers, Leo and Piper get some rare time together and Darryl is no longer prepared to cover up for the sisters. Can't blame the bloke after what happened last week.

I thoroughly enjoyed Chris's car chase - a bit of a novelty for this show. Can't believe that car orbed out in broad daylight though. Send for the cleaners!

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (16)

    • In the opening scene, a post-it note is shown which describes a succubus as a "sexual predator demon". However, in the Season Two episode She's a Man, Baby, A Man!, it is stated that a succubus is not a demon but a witch who has made a pact with darkness.

    • When Piper is at magic school Leo and Phoebe orb in from the ceiling. Since Magic School is above ground (that is shown for example in the season 7 finale), so why are they coming in that way? They should be getting in through the floor not the ceiling.

    • When Phoebe is making the potion you can see how she looks at the book of shadows and touches it as if she was looking up the potion ingredients. But if you look closely the page that is being shown is the one from Tempus, and she is not even looking at the text she is looking at the image only.

    • How did Chris know that the cigar he found on the ground belonged to the demon? It could belong to anyone.

    • When Chris orbs to the Manor after breaking out of jail, he says that he talked to Darryl and he's gonna cover for him. Yet a few minutes later, Darryl comes with two policemen to take Chris back, and also tells Phoebe that he's done covering for them since the last incident when he almost got killed. So how exactly did Darryl agree to cover for Chris if he's gonna take him back? No way Chris was lying because he sounded serious.

    • TRIVIA: Chris was arrested two times. Chris was arrested for stealing a car to chase a demon in another car and the second time, cops and Darryl came to the Manor to arrest Chris.

    • TRIVIA: In this episode, Leo indicates that Chris is 23 years old when he discusses with Piper his future father role for Wyatt and Chris. If Leo wasn't rounding, this also means that Chris had a birthday between this episode and Hyde School Reunion 3 episodes prior. However, it has to be assumed that he is rounding since Chris' birthday is clearly the same day as his birth in the season finale It's a Bad,Bad,Bad,Bad World 1 and 2.

    • It's revealed that Paige doesn't like grapes.

    • TRIVIA: The bad Vincent uses the phrase "raison d'etre" twice in reference to Paige's desires. The phrase "raison d'etre" is a French phrase that means 'reason to be' or 'basic reason to be'.

    • When Paige asks Vincent why that's his name he says it's because Vincent was her first true love. However, in the season 4 episode A Paige from the Past, Paige says her first love was Philip Lewicky. Which is contradicted in the season five episode Sense and Sense Ability when she tells Nate it was Bobby Maynard and here once again when it is said to be Vincent.

    • When Mr Right cuts himself with the knife, he does so quite viciously. When the wound is shown, it is only cut in the centre of his palm - it does not continue to the edge of his hand. He hardly bleeds at all either and seems to forget about it quite quickly.

    • When Chris gets into the car, he starts it up immediately, but would the car really have the key in the ignition ready like that?

    • TRIVIA: Chris calls Leo "Dad", for the first time and their relationship towards each other is getting better.

    • When Piper froze the throwing stars, it took too long for them to freeze. She threw her hands up, and it took about five seconds for them to stop.

    • Mr. Wrong chants "Shall soon be gone, with no haste," but the target of the aging spell ages pretty quickly - within a matter of seconds.

    • Chris doesn't have a birth certificate, his fingerprints aren't on file, he doesn't have a social security number, and there is no paper trail to prove or establish his identity. Chris being in police custody would get him in a lot more trouble than just stealing a car.

  • QUOTES (17)

  • NOTES (3)

    • There is a subtle theme with the Paige story line that resembles the fairy tale Pinocchio. They reference Pinocchio as they discuss good Vincent. Later Phoebe turns good Vincent into a human, just as the wooden puppet was turned into a human boy. Additionally, bad Vincent wants to take Paige on a road trip through Tuscany, Italy. The author of the fairy tale was Italian.

    • Phoebe Well, looks like I'm the last sister standing now.

This is a reference to the common saying "last man standing" and could also reference 1996 movie Last Man Standing, that starred Bruce Willis.

    • Title: A Wrong Day's Journey Into Right

This is a reference to the play Long Day's Journey Into Night by Eugene O'Neill, as well as the movie by the same name.
