TRIVIA: This episode reveals that Paige's birthday is August 2,1977.
When they are explaining about their magical powers to Paige, Phoebe tells Paige to wave her arm at the candle. First of all, this is not how Prue's power originally worked -- it was first channeled through her eyes. Second of all, if it had worked, they easily could have set the entire church on fire.
When Detective Cortez, gives his tape of the Halliwells to Darryl, he becomes the first law enforcement official outside of the Halliwell circle of friends to learn and keep their secret. However, unlike future officers to learn the same thing, he is the only one who does not use his knowledge to gain their assistance for his own agenda (i,e. Kyle, Agent Murphy)
In the church scene, it is shown that if Paige holds out her hand and calls for something it will orb into her hand. Yet when she holds out her hand and calls for Jake's heart a few scenes later all that happens is that he gets chest pains. Why does his heart not orb into her hand?
TRIVIA: This is the first time a spiritual dead relative steps out of the circle of candles and becomes corporeal. Maybe at the time this was supposed to be an exceptional event (since this is Paige meeting her mother for the first time), but since this episode, each time Patty was conjured and walked out of the circle of candles, she became corporeal.
TRIVIA: This is the first time that the Halliwell sisters face the Source and see him.
TRIVIA: In this episode, it is revealed that Paige has the power to move objects with her mind, like Prue. However unlike Prue, the whitelighter powers within Paige cause objects to be summoned to her when called by name as opposed to being lifted and thrown like Prue had been able to. Her ability to Orb is also much like Prue's ability to Astral Project, filling the prophecy of the Charmed Ones in a different light.
When Paige, Piper, and Phoebe are in the church, Shane, who is possessed by the Source, tries to come in. Paige then walks away with him, how does she not even notice Phoebe and Piper fall down?
The front of the building that Paige works at looks exactly like the dating service a fine romance in season 2 episode " She's A man, Baby, A Man!
Why doesn't Paige become wary of Cole in this episode when she first learns he is half demon? How is it that in the later season 4 episode "Black As Cole" she acts as if it's her first time hearing about it?
After they find out that Paige is half witch, half Whitelighter, Piper seems surprised that a Whitelighter could "knock someone up". But in "Morality Bites" when they went to the future she saw that she had a daughter with Leo (a whitelighter).
When the Source, while controlling Shane, stabs Cole, he stabs him with a knife or a short dagger, but when he walks away he's carrying a sword.
TRIVIA: This is one of nine episodes with the series title, "Charmed", in it.
At the end of the episode where Piper and Phoebe summon their mother, Patty, she steps outside the circle of candles and becomes corporeal. Grams had never become corporeal before and the only other time Patty was able to do this previously was for Piper and Leo's wedding. She said that the Elders felt "they owed her" (Piper). It could be argued that in losing Prue, the Elders again owe The Charmed Ones. However, it could also be argued that the Elders don't owe them. Paige's existence was kept a secret, something the Elders surely wouldn't have been too happy about...
In the season 3 finale "All Hell Breaks Loose", the Source is shown for the first time with large dark red wings - however, when shown again in this episode, he no longer has those wings.
Cole got stabbed in the daytime, but they didn't find him until nighttime. No one saw him lying and bleeding next to the sidewalk for numerous hours?
When Cole is lying on the ground after Piper freezes him, his hand moves from holding Phoebe's arm to being beside her arm. It moves a few times while Paige and Leo are healing him.
Sister Agnes (to Paige): As good as your adopted parents were... you still come from angels.
(The Source sends Phoebe and Piper flying down the aisle of the church, hitting the altar on the end)
Piper: What the hell was that?
Sister Agnes: (Appearing from the back room) That's a good question. (crosses her arms)
Grisanti: I'm not covering up for you anymore, Carol. Keep your hands off our son.
Paige: Where are we going?
Phoebe: To show you what good magic can do.
(Paige tries and fails to move a church candle with her mind)
Paige: I guess I'm not one of you guys after all, because there's no way I can make that candle... (The candle orbs to Paige's hand)
Piper: Yeah, sure, why not? We could have another funeral tomorrow. I mean, all the dishes are out and we pretty much know who to invite.
Shane: Who are you?
The Source: For now, I am you.
Piper: I guess blood is a little thicker than evil.
Paige: When I wanted to find out who I was, I didn't want to find out I was a freak.
Phoebe (about Paige): Sister witch.
Piper: Half-witch, half-whitelighter. Let's not forget that little surprise.
Piper: I think the more appropriate question is, how does a whitelighter get somebody knocked up?
Phoebe (about Paige's powers): So, perhaps the whitelighter in her makes it work differently.
Piper: Half breed.
Cole: Okay, so, uh, maybe Leo and I should go...uh...pretend like we got something better to do.
Piper: Good idea.
Italy: Il ritorno del trio (The return of the Charmed Ones) Germany: 48 Stunden (48 hours) France: Les liens du sang (Blood ties)
This episode scored 6.0 million viewers.
Phoebe: Thanks for the Magical assist, Grams.
Piper: How do you know it wasn't somebody else?
Piper is talking about the hope that Prue could be helping there. If Grams helps them as a spirit, it makes sense that now that Prue is a spirit too and she could help them as well.
