Q: How did Prue die?

A:If you watched the last episode of sesaon 3 All Hell Breaks Loose, you'll know about the demon named Shax. At the end It shows Prue and Piper being thrown against a wall by Shax. But that's the end and we don't know if they live or die. They were suppose to live and Prue was suppose to be in the 4th season. But Shannen left the show and they had to make it like she died. If you saw the season premeire for season 4 Charmed Again, it will say that Prue died because of blood loss. She was dead before Leo could heal her. But he was able to heal Piper.

A. At the time of this entry (1/7/06) No one knows for sure yet. There are lots of rumors and speculation on the show and the actors/actresses, but nothing is know from Brad Kern, the Cast or the WB. Don't believe anything until you see it on the WB Official site. Look for a definite answer in Late Feb - Sometime in March.

What were the reasons behind Shannen Doherty’s departure?
Shannen left amongst rumors of on-set arguments and fights between herself and Alyssa Milano. Shannen has been quoted as saying that she disliked Charmed and believed "it's made for 8-year-olds". In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Shannen stated that "there was too much drama on the set and not enough passion for the work", she continued, "I'm 30 years-old and I haven't got time for drama in my life... I want to work with actors who really care and that want to be there every day, not people who b*tch about their job and complain about it" She said that "Holly remains one of my best friends... and that there were never any problems between us and we will always be pals". Shannen revealed that she "found the work un-fulfilling" and planned for her departure as early as December 2000. There are also rumors of pay disputes and arguments with Brad Kern. Shannen disliked the direction the show was going in and hated that Kern and Aaron Spelling teamed up to ignore Constance Burge, the creator of Charmed, and her ideas for the show. Connie departed at the end of season two, something Shannen credits was another reason behind her departure.

What were the reasons behind Julian McMahon's departure?
He was only signed up till episode 100. He is currently seen on the FX series Nip/Tuck. Cole dies in "Centennial Charmed", the 100th episode. Cole was vanquished by The Charmed Ones in an alternate reality where he was Balthazar again. He returned in season seven "The Seven Year Witch" but is unlikely to come back, since he only agreed for one-more "return appearance" after he left in season five.

What happened to the boyfriend characters on the series?
Dan Gordon (Greg Vaughan) left San Francisco after being involved in a love triangle between himself, Piper and Leo and discovering Piper's secret
Jason Dean (Eric Dane) left the series after discovering Phoebe's secret.

*All of Phoebe's powers were taken away in the season six episode Crimes and Witch Demeanors by the Witch's Council as punishment for exposing magic, but they sometimes pop up when they are neccessary for storylines.

Paige
- Can orb herself from one location to another
- Can move things by orbing them with a wave of her hand and calling for them
- Can sense evil (due to being half-Whitelighter)

What's with the cast changes in season eight?
Due to budget cuts, Charmed producers had to fire Dorian Gregory (Darryl) and cut back Leo's appearances. He will only appear in 10 episodes of season eight although Brad Kern has stated that they are trying to keep him on the show for longer. There are rumors that they have got him back for the season finale.

What's with the unaired pilot and where can I download it?
Before Charmed first aired on 7 October 1998, an unaired pilot was made to encourage the WB to pick up the series. It is almost identical to the aired pilot Something Wicca This Way Goes but featured a different actress playing Phoebe (Lori Rom) and a different actor playing Andy (Chris Boyd). Lori Rom left the series due to personal reasons and Andy was just recast as Boyd supposedly didn't fit in well with the regulars.
