  • Trivia

    • TRIVIA: The song played at the end of this episode is Courage by Sarah Polley.

    • TRIVIA: This is not the first time Phoebe has turned evil for love. In her past life she turns evil when she fell in love with the warlock Anton. Only in that life Prue and Piper (then her cousins in their past lives) had to kill her in order to break the alliance.

    • TRIVIA: Cole is vanquished by the Charmed Ones in this episode.

    • When Cole enters as Phoebe is writing the two letters at the end, she scratches her head with her right hand. In the next shot we see her left hand pulling away instead.

  • Quotes

    • Cole: This is not a game, Phoebe. You walked through a one-way door. You try to turn around now, they will destroy us.
      Phoebe: Who, my sisters?
Cole: The Underworld. If they think we're working both sides, they will revolt. If they do that, if they unite against us, I promise, we will pray for death.
      Phoebe: I'm sorry, I didn't…
Cole: I get it, Phoebe, better than anyone. I know what you're going through. It'll rip you apart if you let it.
Phoebe: How do I not let it?
Cole: You make a choice. And you stick to it.

    • Phoebe: Can you do anything about this thunder, because it is making me nuts.
Seer: I have no sway over the weather. I do have a friend who works with wind, but she's out of town.

    • Paige: You evil son of a bitch.
Piper: Phoebe, get out here and help us, damn it!
(Paige puts the crystals in an almost circle when Cole reappears)
      Piper: Paige.
(Cole throws Paige against the wall)
Piper: Phoebe, you heard what he said, he's gonna kill us, help us!
Phoebe (whispers to herself): Forgive me.

    • (Phoebe comes in and Cole puts out a fireball that he was about to throw at the Charmed Ones)
Cole (to Phoebe about his being about to kill her sisters): I'm sorry. It's for the best.
Phoebe: I know it is. (kisses him then steps back and puts down a crystal trapping him in a forcefield) I'm sorry too.
Cole (looks at the forcefield around him holding him in then at Phoebe): Phoebe, no. No!
Phoebe (tearfully): I'm sorry baby. I'm so sorry.
Piper: Prudence, Penelope, Patrica, Melinda... (fire appears near Cole's feet)
Phoebe (tearfully): Astrid, Helena, Laura and Grace...
Cole (to Phoebe): I'll always love you.
Paige: Halliwell witches stand strong beside us...
      Phoebe (sadly): Vanquish this evil...
Piper, Phoebe & Paige: From time and space.
(Cole is consumed by flames and explodes)

    • Piper: I'm sorry Paige. I don't know what got into me. It's one thing when your sister has a husband that you can't stand. Its another when he's the source of all evil.

    • Cole: If you want to kill your boss we have people that can take care of that for you.
      Phoebe: Aren't you sweet!

    • Paige: How's she doing?
Piper: I don't know; she hasn't come down yet.
Paige: How long you been standing there?
      Piper: A while.
Paige: Maybe we should go see her?
Piper: Okay. (she starts to climb the stairs) What if she wants to be alone?
Paige: She's gonna be alone a lot. Maybe right now she needs us.

    • Leo: Paige, wh…?
Paige: You were frozen Leo and I'm guessing demons didn't get her.
Leo: No, more like inner demons.

    • Piper: She is my baby sister and I let him destroy her. That is not human nature - that is the nature of failure.

    • Piper (while getting wasted): Paige could see that Cole clearly had turned evil, and she tried to tell me over and over and over and over and over... and over. (thinks a moment) That doesn't even sound like a word anymore.

    • Piper (as Leo orbs in): We're closed.

    • Elise (reading from Phoebe's column): Dear Betrayed, I suggest you beat your husband with his secretary's stapler. That way, he'll think twice about leaning her over his desk again.

    • Phoebe: Things are not as black and white as they used to be, okay? I can't just go around killing demons anymore.
Paige: Why not? We heard you just killed two last night.
Phoebe: Yeah, well, that was different. They were getting on my nerves. I promised Cole I wouldn't kill any more. And killing Malec would have been a huge betrayal.
Piper: Malec? You're on a first name basis with the demons now?

    • Phoebe (to Cole): I said I promise, but if it'll make you feel better... (to a group of demons) Hi, um, I just want to say that I'm really sorry for killing your friends last night. Oh, and, um, the night before that.

    • Phoebe (to a group of demons): Relax boys. I'm here to cook, not kill.

    • Piper: This one duplicates my freezing power, plus it scalds the flesh, so it should only be used in dire emergencies.
Paige: No! I will not scald Phoebe's flesh!

    • Cole (after Phoebe has killed two demons): I thought we talked about this.
      Phoebe: Sorry…hormones!

    • Phoebe (to the Seer): Do me a favor. Find something that strengthens me and doesn't taste like crap.

    • Paige: It's like Piper-lite. All the personality without any of those messy emotions.

    • Piper: Phoebe, you're evil. You're like the queen of all evil. Literally.
      Phoebe: That's beside the point.
Piper: How can that be beside the point?

    • Paige (about Malec): He's gonna come back.
      Phoebe: You don't know that.
Piper: That's what they do, Phoebe. They come back. They snarl, and come back.

    • Piper: This time, the Source is Cole. You think she's going to stand by and say a little spell with us?
Paige: If she doesn't, we die.
Piper: Is that supposed to be comforting?
