The summary has this eppy as 'a band of knowledge-stealing warlocks'. As far as I could see on the show there were only two warlocks, So I have to say that I was a little disipointed thinking there were going to a few more warlocks chasing after the sisters.

But over all this was a good eppy. I loved to story line with Jack and his twin brother tricking Prue and Prue slaping both of them across the face.

Poor poor Dan, Thinking he will never make it into the house. Even trying to come in through the back door. How many of us would love a man to bring us breakfast in the morning to our front door.? I know I sure would.

Those warlock fingers were just weird. It was a good power tho, touch someone with your finger and finding out everything in there mind. Kind of reminded me of Spock and the mind meld thingy he did.

How here wants to see Jack and Prue get and stay together? I think the fact that he drives her crazy is very cute.

I can not help but love this show and wait every week for it to come on. Thank goodness for reruns..moreless
  • They're Everywhere

They're Everywhere was a perfectly entertaining episode of Charmed and I really enjoyed watching because there was some great character and plot development for Piper and Dan, Phoebe having Dj vu at the end, and Prue as well after hearing the thoughts of Jack. The brain sucking demons were very interesting and played by good actors. The story was fun and full of action, drama and intrigue. I certainly look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!!!!!moreless
  • Phoebe, stop me! Please!

    7.0
Oh, wow, better bring Leo back, fast! It has been a long time since I was this bored watching a Charmed episode. Seriously, I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this because it isn't worth it. The only reason I really kept watching is because Phoebe and Prue look fantastic this entire episode. When Phoebe straddling some guy on the floor is the highlight of the episode, that doesn't bode well (Phoebe is HOT). The demons are less frightening than a pair of insurance salesmen, and the danger of them getting their hands on some ambiguous records is never convincing. I never cared about Eric or his father, which obviously made getting invested in the story difficult. The fight in the hospital room with the demons blinking all over the place was pretty good, at least, though once again Prue was the only one that could do anything.

I wish Dan and Jack were warlocks. That would have been a positive development to me. And Dan constantly coming back to the manor to try to get Piper to go with him, what was up with that? We haven't seen anyone this desperate since Josh was around. What is it about Piper that makes these really attractive guys lose their minds? Maybe it's magic. Yeah, Leo could tell them she makes him lose his mind from time to time, but that isn't in a good way! Hahaha!

Is this the last time we see the telepathic conversation until Christie comes around? Maybe. I admit, that was entertaining at times. Otherwise... boring...moreless
  • The girls must protect a young man who has valuable information on the mystical akaeshic records from brain zapping warlocks. Meanwhile Piper and Prue cast a hearing thoughts spell to determine wheter the men in their lives are warlocksmoreless

I found this episode to be quite enjoyable particularly, the subplot involving the hear thoughts spell. Piper and Prue were very funny when they were reading each others thoughts "are you borrowing my lipstick", "learn to share", very sisterly and I loved their expressions. Finding out that Dan was not a warlock however was a let down, I would have preffered Piper to vanquish him. Up until now I was thinking that Dan is a little to eager to get into the manor, it would have fitted if he was a warlock. Prue's troubles with Jack Sheridan also increases when he plays a trick on her with his twin brother Jeff. I liked how Prue dealt with them by slapping them. I bet Shannen enjoyed doing that!

The main plot however is quite boring, the akaeshic records are very interesting but hardly Charmed material. The actor who plays Gregg (innocent) was very melodramatic and totally annoyed me with his persistant whining plus he is totally not good for Phoebe. If it weren't for the intense fight scenes, that were very enjoable and moved the plot forward the episode would have turned out to be mediocre at best. The warlocks were particularly sinister however I think that they should have been more powerful. I particularly enjoyed their vanquish as it is always great when Prue and Piper work together. Piper freezes them, Prue moves them into each other, warlocks drained out of existance. I could never get tired of that scene! Overall an episode that outweighs the disadvantages. The benefits make this episode very adventurous, dark and intense. Should be watched!moreless
  • A must watch episode! Not because it makes any revelations or because there are any great demon fight sequences (because there aren't), but simple because it'll make you laugh.

    9.0
The Akashic records, as legend has it, is a written account of all significant events throughout time. Should it fall into the hands of evil, in the words of Piper, 'the world's a goner'. What better prize could there be for knowledge collecting demons? Unfortunately these Collectors, though unable to decipher the key themselves, have found the innocent who has been able to crack the code, Eric.

Eric's father (whose knowledge has already been drained by the Collectors) is being looked after in a hospital where (surprise, surprise!) Phoebe is temporarily working, thus making it very convenient for her to get her next premonition. She sees Eric being captured by the Collectors and his knowledge being drained by their lethal injection fingers. She rushes home to consult the Book of Shadows. Prue and Piper are having their own problems. Prue suspects that Jack, the Internet auction guy, is a warlock because he seemed to be in two places in the split of a second. Piper, while packing to attend a weekend with Dan, is trying to reassure herself of Dan's morality and gets a shock when Kit hisses at him, a trait she generally reserves for warlocks. The two decide to cast a Mind Reading spell in order to find out if these guys are really demons, of course they cast it before Phoebe informs them that all they had to do was prick the guy, as warlocks don't bleed. The spell turns out to be very 'informative' for the sisters, and hilarious for us, as Prue and Piper's telepathic conversations contain their thoughts before the filtering process. It does also prove that Dan is indeed an ordinary human being and that, contrary to suspicion, Jack is not a warlock, but a twin. His brother Jeff was just checking out Prue for his brother. (Another hilarious scene!)

In the meantime, on returning home (just after Piper and Prue cast the spell) Phoebe finds all the information she needs about the Collector demons and she and Piper leave to save Eric, arriving in the nick of time. The demons decide that if they can't get to Eric, they'll bring Eric to them (the usual back up plan!). They kidnap his father and demand that Eric come alone to the park. Luckily the sisters read his mind and follow him, managing to use the demons powers against each other, however not in time to prevent a portion of Eric's and Phoebe's memory from being erased. This turns out to be a good thing, as Eric doesn't recall that the sisters are witches. Though Phoebe doesn't remember Eric either, they do meet again at the hospital. Does Phoebe get the cute guy in the end after all?moreless

  • TRIVIA (12)

    • The second time Dan comes to get Piper for the trip, she shuts the door in his face and she hears him thinking, "Someday, somehow I'll make it through that door." But Piper invited him in earlier that day when she pricked him to see if he was a warlock.

    • TRIVIA: This episode features Sugar Ray's songs Every Morning and Falls Apart.

    • TRIVIA: Piper mentions Rex and Hannah to Prue in this episode. Rex and Hannah were Prue's previous bosses (back in season 1), who turned out to be warlocks plotting events against and behind Prue. They were vanquished in the episode Wicca Envy.

    • TRIVIA: This episode takes place in November, three weeks after Halloween.

    • Even if Eric has lost his memory, wouldn't the cops still be after him for destroying the stone? Museum security cameras would have him recorded smashing it.

    • When Phoebe dismounts and remounts Eric, he is parallel with the kitchen door (like he could stand right up and walk through it). When Prue and Piper walk past, he is lying diagonally between the table and counter.

    • Phoebe says very clearly that warlocks don't bleed, but in the season 1 episode Something Wicca This Way Comes, Jeremy was bleeding pretty profusely after the failed vanquish, and Brendan Rowe's warlock brother bled when he was stabbed. And also Malcolm, from the painting, was bleeding when he met Prue.

    • When Prue and Piper return from Buckland's, they yell out very loudly "Jack isn't a warlock!", with Eric in the manor. It isn't possible that he would not have heard them, so wouldn't he have figured out that something was a little weird?

    • TRIVIA: Prue learns that Jack has an identical twin.

    • When Eric is walking out of the Manor to go meet the Collectors, why didn't Piper just freeze him to stop him from going until they had come up with a good plan.Same thing in the hospital when they kept blinking back and forth, Why didn't Piper hurry up and freeze the room when Phoebe hit the one with the flower pot?

    • Prue is worried about Jack being a warlock because she claimed that he can blink, but in the season 1 episode "The Witch is Back", Melinda says that Matthew Tate copied his ability to blink from a good witch. Therefore, witches can blink and warlocks shouldn't be able to without having stolen the power.

    • When Prue hangs up on Jack, he gets a dial tone on his cell phone. Cell phones don't have dial tones.

  • QUOTES (26)

    • Eric: Excuse me. I'm looking for a doctor Swinsley. I need him to sigh some insurance papers. I was told he would be in here.
Phoebe: Uh, yeah, he actually just took Mrs. Bruhn to the sun room. You could probably catch him there.
Eric: Great. Thanks. You're Phoebe, right? I'm Eric Bragg. I think I saw you the other day at the park.
Phoebe: Right, right, how's your father?
Eric: Oh, he's better thanks. He's almost back to his old self. I remember, you were really sweet to him when he was in here. Not many people would of bothered. You must be an angel.
Phoebe: No, I'm no angel. But I could probably introduce you to one if you like.
      (They smile.)
Eric: You know, I just realized I have no idea where the sun room is.
Phoebe: Uh, it's kind of complicated, maybe I should draw you a map.
(They look at each other as though the word map, rings a bell.)

    • Phoebe: Piper!
(Prue comes back in the room.)
Dr. Stone: Move and she dies.
(Phoebe grabs a vase of flowers and hits Dr. Stone over the head. He lets go of Piper and falls to the ground. Prue uses her powers and releases Eric from the Collectors grip. Dr. Stone blinks and appears next to Eric's dad. Prue gets ready to throw the dagger at them and they hold onto Eric's dad and blinks out of the room.)
      Eric: Dad?

    • Eric: Dad, we gotta get you outta here.
      (Prue, Piper and Phoebe enter.)
      Phoebe: Eric…
Eric: I'm getting him outta here, Phoebe. (Dr. Stone and the collector blink in the room. Prue uses her power and they fly up against the wall. The two collectors disappear.) What's going on?
      Prue: Later.
Phoebe: Get him. We gotta get outta here.
      Eric: Where'd they go.
Dr. Stone: Looking for that? (He holds up the dagger. He disappears.)
      Prue: He's got the dagger.

    • Piper (Calling out to Phoebe): Jack's not a warlock.
      Prue: He's a jerk.
(Phoebe and Eric enter the foyer.)
Phoebe: We're going to the hospital. We've got to get Eric's dad out of there and keep him someplace safe. Come on.

    • Dr. Stone: Did you find Eric?
      Collector: No.
Dr. Stone: Not good. He's been protected by a time freezing witch.
Collector: And Bruce Lee's little sister.
Dr. Stone: The Akashic Records are within our reach.
Collector: It's going to be very difficult to drain his brain if they know what we're after.
Dr. Stone: Not to worry. We'll get in his mind. To his heart.
      Collector: Oh, very nice.
(Dr. Stone blinks and he disappears.)

    • Piper: Okey-dokey.
Phoebe: Oh my God, that is Dr. Stone. Eric's dad's doctor.
Piper: Alright, let's get him outta here. We'll figure out what they want later. Are you ready? Do your little thingy.
      Phoebe: Okay.
(They unfreeze and Phoebe starts doing karate on them. Eric gets a gun out of a drawer.)
      Eric: Get back.
      (Eric shoots them.)
Phoebe: Oh my God. (They stand back up.) Okay, let's go, let's go. (They run outside.)

    • Phoebe: They're called Collectors. They're a warlock… (Someone walks past them.) They are a warlock breed that drains knowledge out of peoples brains with that weird finger I saw.
Piper: The book didn't say how to vanquish them?
Phoebe: No, it just said their hunger for knowledge is your all.
Piper: Okay, whatever that means. Are you sure this is where he lives?
Phoebe: The hospital record said 5D.Here it is.

    • Jack: Prue!
Prue: Jack, you actually wear that to work?
Jack (thinking): Ohh, feisty, feisty. (Out loud.) Well, when work puts me in front of an online server, handling 5 million online awesome hits a day, yeah I do. What's the emergency?
      Prue: Fersuang.
      Jack: (thinking) My what?
Prue: Fersuang Publications, the German conglomerate. You handled their C.E.O. Bronze ----- Collection for the internet auction, right?
Jack: (thinking) Be careful, she suspects. (out loud) Yeah, of course.
Prue: Well, I need some bronzes checked out. Who did your validation?
      Jack: Validation?
Prue: You do have people's collections validated don't you?
Jack: (thinking) Mostly I put people in graves or incinerate them. (out loud) Oh, yeah. It was Walt Potarg at Berkley School and design. He was the best. (thinking) If she finds out that I'm lying, she's gonna die. (out loud) Well, you know what? I'm a little late, gotta go. Good to see you again. (He leaves.)
      Prue: Your dying first.

    • Piper: Hello, you.
Dan: Hi, um, I was wondering if maybe we could get an early start. You know, miss traffic, get there quicker so we have enough time to ...
      Piper: Relax?
Dan: Relax is a good word. (They laugh.) Any chance you could be ready in an hour?
      Piper: Yes, every chance.
(Kit growls and hisses at Dan.)
Dan: I wonder what her problem is?
Piper: I gotta go now. Bye. (She closes the door and walks over to the bottom of the stairs.) Prue, did you find that warlock test yet?

    • Tour Guide: Legends hold it buried somewhere near a rocky desert, is a fable book, penned by ancient mystics, known as the Akashic Records. Believed to be a written account of all significant events throughout time. Powerful stuff. If someone were to get their hands on that, they could win the lottery or at least get tender. To know the future brings, obviously, ultimate power. Which is why everyone from Hera to Hitler has been looking for the records. But to find them, to find them, one needs a map. This tablet found in the Ivory Colls last year, is believed to be the very map. Although the engravings are of a lost language so far and undecipherable, even for scholars like myself but we're close. Whoever can decipher them first will know the exact latitude and longitude of the Akashic Records.
(You see a guy standing in front of it, writing something down on a notepad.)
Guy: Oh my God, that's it.
      Tour Guide: Uh, excuse me?
Guy: Uh, no, no. Excuse me.
      (He leaves.)
Tour Guide: If you follow me this way, I'll show you the next exhibit which is quite interesting.

    • (Outside the hospital discussing how to get to Eric)
Collector#1: He is being protected by a time freezing witch!
Collector#2: And Bruce Lee's little sister!

    • (After realising that Jack has an identical twin brother named Jeff)
Prue: You know, you two should be ashamed of yourselves. (she slaps Jack) That's for thinking you can get away with it. (she slaps Jeff) And that's for thinking you won't get slapped.
      Jeff(smiles at Jack): I approve!

    • (Prue and Piper are reading each others thoughts after casting the Mind Reading spell)
Prue: Great we're surrounded by warlocks.
Piper: Yeah, next time get your own damn lipstick.
      Prue: I heard that!
      Piper: I love you!
      Prue: Bite me!

    • (Phone conversation after Prue gets the flowers from Jack, with his phone hidden in them)
Jack: Can I take you for dinner?
      Prue: I don't think so.
Jack: Come on, let me buy you a drink.
      Prue: I don't think so.
Jack: Well can I atleast get my phone back!?
      Prue I don't think so.
(Prue puts the phone down and she and Phoebe start laughing. Phoebe takes the phone...)
      Phoebe: I like it.
      (She starts dialing)
      Prue: What are you doing?
      Phoebe: Calling Tokyo.

    • (While Jack is frozen, Prue pricks him with a knife. Jeff walks in, and Piper freezes him as well.)
Prue: Okay, there's two of them?
      Piper: Twin warlocks?
Prue: Or maybe they're just twins. Okay, you unfreeze them. If that prick doesn't bleed... (she points to Jack, then Jeff) then that one's dead, too.

    • Prue: Do we have to protect him?
Piper: He is pissing me off.

    • Piper: Dan's clean, by the way.
Prue: Glad to hear it. Jack's not.
Phoebe: Wait, are you guys thinking something about me right now?
      Prue: No.

    • Phoebe: I don't need a hearing thoughts spell to know what you are thinking.

    • Prue (to Phoebe): Entertaining guests I see.

    • (Piper pricks Dan's finger while he's frozen, nothing happens)
Piper: Oh no! Oh no! He's not bleeding!
      Phoebe: Uhh... Piper? He's frozen!
Piper (less panicked): Oh. (She unfreezes him)

    • Piper: With warlocks and demons coming out of the woodwork all the time, it's a wonder we trust anybody!

    • Prue: They really shouldn't have given us the finger.
      Piper: You read my mind.

    • Dan: Someday, somehow, I'm going to make it through that damn door.

    • Piper: Jack's not a warlock.
      Prue: He's a jerk.

    • Eric: It's one hell of a secret.

    • Prue (about Dan): I mean, you did test him though, right? You know, he's not a warlock?
Piper: He's not a warlock. No cats have hissed at him, he has not blinked, he has not tried to kill me or my sisters and steal our powers as which you know is a key indicator.

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (4)

    • If the flowers left on the porch did not have a card with them, how did Phoebe know they were for Prue?

    • (In response to the other collector saying that Eric is being protected by a witch who freezes time)
Collector #2: And Bruce Lee's little sister!

Bruce Lee is a lengendary martial arts master who appeared in dozens of Kung Fu films and the reference is aimed towards Phoebe's own martial art abilities which she used to fight off the collectors.

    • The Akashic Records, described by clairvoyant Edgar Cayce and others, are the mythical "Book of Life" — a storehouse of information about every individual who's ever lived since the dawn of creation.

    • Title: They're Everywhere

Probably a reference to the phrase "They're here." from the film Poltergeist.
