Ignoring her sisters' objections, Prue befriends a young man whon is attacked by warlocks in a church. Desperate to overcome his half-warlock heritage, Brendan Rowe is joining the priesthood. However, in order to fulfill the prophesy of the Rowe Coven & become the evil equivalent of the charmed ones, his brothers try to tempt him to take the life of a mortal & join the dark side. Prue believes Brendan to be good, even when she finds his warlock half hovering over an injured Father Austin.
Acting on faith & instinct, Prue agrees to a dangerous plan to keep the Rowe Coven from forming. Brendan says he will kill his brothers & then Prue & her sister will have to kill him. The warlocks realize that attempting the crime will cause Brendan's evil nature to take over, at which point he'll be willing to commit another evil act, cementing the coven. They order Brendan to kill Prue but she uses her power & her faith in his inherent goodness to shock Brendan out of his evil state. When the three brothers confront each other in the church, Greg throws a dagger at Brendan, but Paul jumps in front of him and is mortally wounded. As he dies, Paul pulls the dagger from his own chest & hurls it at Greg, killing him as well. Brendan is free to be ordained as a priest & truly become liberated from his evil origins. Although she's happy for Brendan, Prue regrets not being able to pursue a romantic relationship with a great guy.
Meanwhile, Piper has been avoiding Josh, another great guy, because she's afraid of falling for the the wrong guy again - human or supernatural.
